"You can have fun in an not be throw in jail" : this is the Honda experience that so many do not get. The light playful steering, the high revving engine and high-rpm power band, visibility and etc. There are the reasons I bought a Honda product. However, I am no fanboy and there is plenty of other interesting cars. Cars in general are one of my greatest passions in life. I just had kind of fell in love with how these (Honda) cars are engineered and designed.
Jean-René Boutin and thats why im in the market for a manual ILX, basically a 9th gen civic without the boy racer look, and the civic stigma’s but still very fun to drive reliable cars. If only there was mofe than 7 for sale in canada😅

Native722 i was out the door for 19,200.. The car had 2,xxx miles on it when i bought it.

I watch and read reviews on cars all the time, and have seen a few other reviews on this vehicle and wanted to let you know that this is one of the best reviews on this car I have seen. This car sounds perfect for me. A daily driver that doesn't look too aggressive and isn't as aggressive, but has a some fun to it when you want it. And dat interior.

Thanks for the review Matt! I just got an 8th gen Si this past may and love it! Really is a great daily with that extra excitement when you want it. As cheesy as it may sound, hitting vtec is quite addicting
Can't wait for the new 2014 and see how the changes work out. I've also driven a 13 coupe and came away impressed.. I WOT a lot on new engine and was worried it was going to blow lol.. I didn't realize they are meant for it!

I have subscribed my friend I enjoy the enthusiasm in the reviews! Your reviews are alive, original and have humor keep it up. I'm trying to decide between a new Si and a wrx. Also open to other recommendations a sporty manual sedan is what I want under 26k.
if you can afford the wrx definitely get it, I have driven a lot of miles on my friends Si and have a 2015 WRX myself and the Si really doesn't come close in terms of performance, not sure what year your looking at but the new interior is up with the Si now loads better than previous years
Something i think you should include in your videos is car reliability though this is more specific to older higher mileage cars. Also mentioning 0-60 times even doing them your self maybe and mentioning MPG as well. Just my opinions keep making great vids :)
Man, the weather there is beautiful...and seems warm too. In Estonia the weather is terrible, rainy, no sun, cold...and now theres a storm here too. Roofs are flying.
I test drive one of these cars today and omg!! Shifting the gears is amazing and smooth. Right now it's between an 2012 Acura TL and a 2013 Honda Civic SI sedan. I might go with the honda though, I might.
***** I find the SI fun to drive. and there's lots of modifications that'll make the experience a lot better. Only thing though is that there's so much 9th Gen haters.
we get a lot of hate because of people who just buy it for cosmetic mods...i'm more of a track person..

Love my 2013 si sedan ..like he said it is a lot of fun to drive ..I've had mine about to weeks had 55 miles when I got it ..now it's got close to 1000 ..great car ..love my si
Just acquired one of these. I love it. It's aesthetically clean and handles well. Better than the 2008 model at least, which I did own for a while. Mugen Edition if I might add.
Makes you appreciate Honda quality, and also makes me want to leave this car stock.

That amazing K24 2.4L VTEC 4 cylinder is just music to my ears. Same engine from the Acura TSX and let me tell you, this is my favourite engine out of all the Civic SIs that have come out. I mean 201 HP from 2.4L and a N/A engine is not what a lot of other manufacturers do. They always do turbocharged power which is fine, but you can’t beat the feel of a Honda VTEC engine that rewards you with revving it out.

It's pretty cool how much you've improved on these reviews over time. Have you driven a Focus ST? You gotta review that car whenever you can get your hands on one cause I'd like to see your take on them. Maybe do a comparison with some of the turbo hatches we get over here?

just bought one yesterday in black. i agree with all that was said. great cat but steering wheel is very light. very fun to drive. you mentioned the brz and i actually almost went for an frs. great car to drive but chose si because frs didn't feel like a daily driver. my next car will be a wrx. has to be.

I have a 06 si with pulleys and other stuff and the torque feels stronger than the 2.4 motor. But I'm def looking at buying an sti, great video as always, I live in Pittsburgh too
you should get one! i just got a 2010 Gt. 5.0 manual for a great price. the V8 is perfect. and all my friends want a ride in it. its always makes me smile :)

In the winter you should review some SUV and Trucks if it gets snowy, and even if not. Like the Ford Raptor, and other platforms! It'd add a lot of variety, and fun I am sure!

I have this same car except white and surprisingly, I get tons of compliments on it. I'm a mother of two so I decided to meet in the middle with fun and economical. Perfect choice! My husband has the VW GLI and of course the turbo in that car kicks my cars ass, but my car has better handling and is WAY better in the snow, lol

Great review man. I too loved this car when I test drove it but the fuel economy was too poor for the 30k+ miles I do a year.

The 2013+ Si a great car for the money. My last car was an E46 330Ci with modified suspension and it doesn't bother me at all getting into the Si every day.

Yup! The vtec does feel similar to boost! I have the 2011 honda civic si! When the vtec kicks in you hear something get loud and the car just pulls and rpms just speeds down to 7k as he said...
Haha under that vtec symbol next to the speedometer is a series of shift lights, 3 yellow and then 2 red as you approach redline. Very cool little Ferrari-esque feature!
great review man i have a new found respect for honda civic si's, but i still love my mazda 3 i wish it was manual though i feel like im missing out
I thought the steering was too light when I got my 09 Si but over time the steering feel and clutch feel kick in. The steering has more weight to it and the clutch feels much more precise and its easier to do harder shifts.

This iteration of the Honda Civic and the Civic Si is my favourite iteration of the car~ And yes, this may not be the fastest, but it is very rev happy, and you can rev it as fast as you can without getting in trouble for sure :) Honda makes excellent manual transmission cars and the Civic Si should not be overlooked~

Man, I'm a bit torn as to whether I should get this si or spend a few more for a wrx.....not necessarily shopping around for a new car right now but definitely planning to get one in the distant future. However, that light steering feel might led me to go for a brz or wrx instead. Awesome job with this review. I appreciate your work. Favorited.
You're right about the interior vs the 08-14 STI. Even the 06-11 Civics are nicer inside. My 11 WRX interior is defiantly worse than my fiancee's 06 civic ex and the current civic interior is even better like you said. Really enjoy your reviews.
