At 60+ years of age I was so exited yesterday, I still have goosebumps today. What a proud moment for India.
Dr Cheema should know that India is still far behind the West in S and T, HDI etc.

Many people do not know that India has earned US$279 millions in foreign exchange by launching 345 satellites of 34 countries. So India can afford to spend US$76 millions on Chandrayaan 3 mission. India has been very successful in launching satellites at a cost much lower than other countries and hence it is in an excellent position to earn more in the coming years.

All those scientists in ISRO are clearly from very humble backgrounds, and have had the blessings of a committed education system, and have raised themselves to be able to collectively attain success in the Chandrayaan Project. The same thing has not been done to the same scale by our neighbours. A small percent of their elite population has cornered all their resources, wealth and opportunities.
