    They are 40 ft flat rack containers @Tez The Truckie. They can make the front and back come up before loading. They yuse them for over sea shipping,like containers but for wide loads,equipment,and other odd stuf ho are just to wide to load in boxes. Ore goods that cant be loaded from the rear doors containers,boxes. So they loaded from the side. Also for high load. When the front and back are up, they can be stacked, like containers,boxes. They flatten them so that more can be carried on one truck. They yuse them world wide.

    They look like flat racks (that’s what we call them in the U.K.) 2:30 odd in. Basically the floor of a container for loading odd shape stuff.

    The MCS sidetipper had a steer tyre go off and went down the side of the loaded Qube quad could have been a double fatality if it went off 1 second earlier.

    Absolutely shocked to see more tippers rolled over. Re linfox, the items on the ground are flat racks which are collapsible containers which are part of the Gorgon project, this truck rolled just south of Fortescue river many years ago. Qube, crash just south of port Hedland, incredibly normal for tippers up there. Tipper operators are the bottom feeders of the transport industry.

      No, car carriers are the bottom of the barrel followed by tippers......

    Goodday Tezz,
    I haven't driven Road Trains myself but I know plenty of people who have & they tell me 2 trailers are not too bad, but when you add a thrid & fourth so easy to roll the last trailer if you are not paying attention.
    Cheers
    Louis 👍

      I have only done 2 trailer my self. I have been told the same thing.

    Too have a major freight roote only relying on single lanes to cater for RD TRAINS going both ways that's bloody ridiculous , our government

      The Northern Highway from Perth to Wubin was barely wide enuf for two trucks of any discription scary in a RoadTrain dropping off the bitumen when there was an edge onto gravel !!

  • @upvccomau
    @upvccomau 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Wow, that surprised me a bit with a heavy swerve like. That, that's all it takes to tip them... Definitely if you were on a loose shoulder, but that was on bitumen!

    • @arbe
      @arbe 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stating the obvious but that's not how to keep a road train under control.
      If you steer your prime mover like that with two trailers it will whip the last trailer out. Every trailer you add makes the whip worse.

    No idea why you consider Linfox a 'gun' in the industry. Nothing of the sort. The lovely sideswipe around 3:00 was caused by a blown steer.

    Hi, there liking the videos you are putting out and the things you did not no what was on the truck they are now as fold and pack shipping containers but the ones you did see are flat and when they need to fill them the ends come up and lock in place so keep the videos coming and stay safe.

    2:30 They turned over quite easily. Seems like the slight swerve by the driver is increased rapidly to the rear trailers.
