Just watched the race vid that Ben and you shot. You are absolutely a machine! Fantastic job, in ridiculous conditions, (both route and weather wise) and you did it without a pacer. AMAZING!

hey sarah good luck tomorrow id recommend starting in those inov8's the first bit out of coverack into cadgwith and kynance is pretty slippery/muddy until porthleven then running from there till mousehole is really runnable. id probably save your comfortable lonepeaks for the lands end to st ives section have a great day ' you and everyone taking part
I've got the Altra lone peaks, and those innov8s. The innov8s are super grippy on grass but wouldn't want them on hard pack or road. I keep going back to the lone peaks...had 4 or 5 pairs now. Super comfy but wish the lugs were 1mm deeper and lasted longer like the innov8 soles. Amazing what u r doing. I can only do 13 ish miles. All the best. Graham Sheffield.

This video is brilliant and gives a great insight into all the preparation required to tackle a 100 mile race. I've got my first one in Wales in July - hopefully the weather won't be too extreme. Think I need to invest in some more kit!! I did chuckle when you said that Ben is so disorganised - can you come and crew for me please??
Definitely a scenic roue..... I love the route from St Just to St Ives (no parking at all) and a nightmare for runners but the views is insane.... (I used to live just a few miles North of Helston nearer Falmouth) but was a lot fitter then
So much great info in there, i haven't done an Ultra yet it's on my bucket list. I was supposed to be doing the Longhorn in April but family problems have shattered my training so i'm just going to do the 30k. I hope the race went well.
Hope you fared well, I'm a decent runner and can manage ultras but with just one race and a couple parkruns under the belt, I'd like to have more experience before tackling the arc. I'm very lucky in that it's right on my doorstep, so know people who have done it, and know the entire area, zennor - st ives being the rocky area to watch. As for navigation you'll be surprised how little you'll use it. It's one big path so most of the time it's easy to follow. Have to say I'm actually a bit envious, but glad you managed it.
