I remember when Dead Space 3 came out, the demo was all you needed. You could continue the campaign by joining a friend who is already playing, so me and my friend just swapped host position for the whole game, finished it in an afternoon.
I'd been going on about dead space for years but I could never get my friends to give it a shot. When DS3 came out, I got my friends to download the demo and play some co-op to get their feet wet. They ended up buying the game, and most of them went back to play DS1 and 2. The co-op aspect of DS3 made it a lot more accessible.
Dead Space 3 wasn't THAT bad on its own - I had some HILARIOUS moments playing with my friends - but yeah when you compare it to DS 1 and 2 it's just not the same. A big reason I didn't play it for a while after it came out was because I watched my room mate spend hours and hours staring at the weapon customization menu. He'd make a change, go shoot at some enemies for a few mins, then run back to the bench and spend another few hours collecting resources and making changes. At the very least, you don't HAVE to spend a lot of time at the bench.
@@ModestPavement my friend (a grown ass man) was playing as Carver and he was getting increasingly agitated and I had no idea why, since we didn't know Carver would see things I wouldn't (as Isaac). when we got into the elevator to go down, I looked over at my friend and he's looking straight at the ground. he started screaming and eventually got so scared he shut the Xbox off. I had no idea what was going on and it was the funniest thing I'd ever seen. it wasn't until I played through as Carver that I saw what he saw. that made it all worth it lmao
Dead space 3 for me was great Same for resident evil 6 If your a fan, sure it's probably least liked, but nowhere close to games that break the wheel just to reinvent it worse. Franchise exhaustion is a thing, I suppose it would of never been a problem back then that had different decent games with their own cool styles. Silent hill/resident evil/cold fear/the thing and many more during the glory days to keep us from getting bored of the perfect recipe.
Andromeda really pissed me of for other reasons, too. In the original trilogy I loved throwing around my biotic abilities like a crazy person and then...Andromeda only lets me equip 3...
I agree and would throw in Infamous as well, as Infamous 1 and 2 were amazing but "Second Son" was awful by comparison...... Then the obvious other would be "The Last of Us 2" 🤢🤮
damn, already forgot that, but yeah. If they kept squad contols, at least you could combo with your mates, but since they ruined that too, you were basically left with one combo, because you'd need the third slot for something universally useful, like taking down shields.
@@axolotlsgonewild I would prefer a game taking place mostly during the first two games, playing something like a "space adventurer" solving his own personal problems, but with even more freedom, maybe add some trading options, an option to buy ships?, maybe land vehicle or space combat?, or even be a bad guy (or play as different species, right!). But definitely with new awesome characters to recruit and new places to visit. Ahh, the dreams... Seriously the original trilogy's universe was so vast, a hundred stories could be told. And so much solid foundation! And then they go and try the hardest thing possible - imagine a new galaxy where you are the ultimate hero all over again. And then they fuck it up spectacularly. The only good thing about that game that I can remember is the new species and a handful of characters. The main story was super weak, the combat was dumbed down and I can't remember more, but that's just how bland it was.
As a child I had such a blast playing goblet of fire looking back now I'd probably hate it but it makes me remember how fun gaming was before I had STANDARDS 😐
Right there with you, I own a bunch of older consoles and for some reason I’m still playing my ps5 because of my standards for games now… even though most PS2 era games are better than the games we have now.
@@zacharyalger4568 ....Yeah not in that regard I think. Mainly just some sequels back then with horrible controls. I still play FF10, SW Rogue Squadron, etc. cause they're still fun. Little janky at times with controls, but still more fun than most the games I play from the current gen of gaming.
I think developing arbitrary "standards" has ruined gaming for too many people. It's like they've taught themselves how not to enjoy playing video games.
I played Andromeda earlier this year, so it was not as bad as it was on launch from what I hear, but I loved it and had a lot of fun. I went in knowing it wouldn’t be anything like the OG trilogy, and had a great time. I loved it for what it was. Nothing can ever top the original games, I didn’t expect that, and at the time I needed something easy and relatively low-stakes, which probably helped.
I agree. Played it 2 years after launch and after 2 play throughs I dealt with virtually no bugs definitely none that effected the gameplay. Many missions were certainly terrible and the lack of new species to meet was disappointing but all in all I very much enjoyed the game.
I liked it a lot too. Even so much that I installed the mobile app and played the multiplayer because I just loved the gameplay. Story also had its strong moments
@@Goosavich lack of new species? You mean other than the Angara, Kett and the Sentients? That's not too bad I think. But I definitely agree and wouldn't say Andromeda sucked. Even at launch with the bugs I think people had hopelessly high expectations, somehow expecting a trilogy's worth of story ups and downs within a single game.
I'm playing Right now as My first ME game, I'm really digging the overall vibe of exploring and combat. Sure charecters feels so robotic when they start talking. But I guess it's pretty fun experience for $3-5
As a huge fan of the first two Harry Potter games and to a lesser extent the third Harry Potter game. I was really excited to play the Goblet of Fire as a kid. You have no idea how disappointed I was when I tried to play that mess… The other games in the series were pretty good except the last few. But I would take those boring shoot ‘em ups over the fourth game any day lol
It was one of the first games I played ever so I have some nostalgia for it but It def wasn't as good as the first few I loved the 3rd one personally but the first 2 were great as well I am gonna get a ps2 at some point just to get and play those games again

Sacred 3... sounds similar to what happened with Dungeon Siege III... Dungeon Siege was a dungeon crawl hack and slash, made to showcase a game engine based on the premise "are we able to make a game that takes hours to complete which doesn't use any loading screens?" It was a success. In addition to the hack and slash, they introduced a leveling system, limited character customization, and party mechanics (up to 8 heroes and/or pack mules). The plot was the most basic bare bones plot only existing to explain why the character we're playing as is going through all the dungeons; although they did have a few NPCs to talk with who provided some background lore. Multiplayer: Each person can import their own character to play with friends, up to 8 players (I think, never used it). Dungeon Siege II built upon the basics of the previous game, they added character customization (instead of a human, a player could play as a half-giant, dryad, elf, or human each with their own benefits), the introduction of over a dozen pets (which can be customized and leveled), RPG elements (lots of quests and each party member has their own individual quest), along with the previous leveling system, they added a skill tree to unlock powers around character concept (powers of a sword and shield fighter is different than a greatsword wielding fighter etc.), finally, they added a crafting system. Multiplayer: Each person can import their own character to play with friends, up to 6 players (I think, never used it). Dungeon Siege II Broken World "the last chapter", fixed a lot of bugs, while adding dwarves as a playable race (although dwarves don't make sense for the narrative, but added due to fan service), they added several more pets, 2 more party members to showcase the newly introduced hybrid classes (Blood Assassin is combat magic + range, Warden is nature magic + melee) with their own spells and powers, and they expanded the crafting system to include the ability to make equipment sets. It's clear that this was the Dungeon Siege II port to console, as there are things you can get in the console version which can be used, via code, to get the duplicates in the PC version, and vice versa. Then we get to Dungeon Siege III. This is a Diablo clone. Instead of a party, you get to choose to play 1 of 4 pregenerated characters (archer, mage, wizard, Angel-Elemental Hybrid) -- only one is a plot important, the other three can be removed from the game for all they affect it -- and you can only have 1 active companion (1 of the 3 pregenerated characters you didn't select). The previous games' leveling system was entirely scrapped for a Diablo-esque version, in which you get to choose a skill/power from a very limited list of skills/powers, and if you choose poorly, that greatly affects the game (my first play through, I had to ditch half-way through as my characters I have used couldn't actually defeat a boss). As for gear, it's character locked preventing you from giving a very useful ring/amulet to character X because it is meant to be used by character Y. Then... the lack of quests really made the game feel devoid of content/empty. Multiplayer: You and a single friend are able to play... as different characters. TL;DR Everything which made the previous games great, were scrapped because Diablo was the game the console players would be most familiar with so they made the game to be played exactly like Diablo... pissing off nearly all the long time fans. Thus, the huge number of negative reviews are "this isn't Dungeon Siege... it freaking sucks!"
Having just completed Andromeda this year, I ended up really liking it. My gripes are mainly around the tedious back and forth fetch missions. It was also difficult to get into the swing of things, as the game does a really bad job of explaining all you can do. Once you get into it though, I found the gameplay fun, the story interesting, and your team as endearing as in the original trilogy (for their own reasons). It really could have grown into something great if given the chance with DLC or sequels.
I actually really enjoyed Andromeda. I hadn't played any other ME game prior to playing it though so went in with basically no opinion on anything, and it was after the patches that fixed all the bugs
@@HovektheArtist Speaking of Assassins Creed, Unity is a game that was far better when played a couple years after launch as well. It's kind of funny how people used to roast games for being buggy at launch, but now it's practically standard for AAA games to launch with tons of bugs.
Mass Effect Andromeda…after they fixed everything…was amazing! The open world concepts and combat was the best in the series. The story wasn’t “life in the galaxy is threatened, oh no!” Like in the trilogy, but it was still really solid space opera/adventure! Sounds like you didn’t give it a chance after all the patches were released, you just wanted to take a nap. 😉 - anyone reading this: highly recommend giving Andromeda a chance! It’s a fantastic Mass Effect experience. (plus it’s like alway on sale)
I honestly go back and replay it a bunch because the gameplay is real solid and i do like the story of exploration and getting a foothold while uncovering mysteries of andromeda
I actually enjoyed playing Duke Nukem Forever. It had awoken some sweet memories and my expectations weren't high so I had a really good time playing it.
Overly high expectations is the thing that ruins a lot of games for many people. Always best to go into a game expecting something average, just in case.
DNF failed on so many fronts. First the development cycle, due to it change hands so frequently, essentially aged the fanbase away. Second, in the same time games became so much more sophisticated graphics and story-wise. Sure the expectation was high, but they were realistic expectations considering it took 15 years to make the game. Lastly, like Falcon said it was a 90's shooter in 2000's clothing. Unfortunately, we were in the 2010's, so it seemed so dated.
Really happy to hear you mention Sacred, and you're absolutely right about 3. Didn't even need to play it to see it had nothing to do with the previous games.
Devil May Cry 2 was actually my introduction to the series. And everything you said is absolutely correct. It is literally the only one I've never gone back to replay. Dmc I've replayed several times in fact! The trick to playing that one is skip every cutscene and bit of dialog. The gameplay is loads of fun, and the level design is a cut above some other games from that franchise.
I absolutely love Andromeda, I’ve put over 200 hours in that game, and honestly just planet hopping and exploring as all I wanted. Once your a full level biotic, the game becomes quite fun
I agree. This game definitely has some flaws. I don’t think it lived up to its legacy but it definitely had potential to. I also think it has the best combat gameplay of all the Mass Effect titles. I think given all its flaws, all in all it was still a solid game.
The thing with Sacred 3 is that Ascaron the previous developer, has been liquidated since 2009. Some of its Ips have been bought by Kalypso media (not Sacred though) and they took some of their developers (15) to create gaming Minds Studio (still in Gütersloh germany). The rights for Sacred are with DeepSilver and has been developed by Keen Games (from Frankfurt am Main). Deep Silver is now part of the Embracer Group. Long story short. The Ip went a totally different way than the Developers. Unlike with Timesplitters, where now both the Developer and the rights are part of Embracer. But Sacred 1 was awesome. Sacred 2 not so much, because it fried my windows 7 when i installed it from the disk, so i had to use a crack to get rid of Securom. Also the studio is about 28min away by car from my home :D
I liked the mass effect andromeda. It was actually pretty good after much of the fixes were set in place. I actually wouldn’t mind a sequel to it as long as the game actually functions at launch. Dead Space 3 was also awesome! It was fun to play.
I played ME Andromeda a few years after it came out and I found that I actually like the characters introduced, particularly feel in love with Peebee, and the freedom it gave you in terms of building your Ryder with its power tree. But I was really annoyed with how often quests would bug out and something I needed to progress a side quest would glitch out and I was stuck with a quest I could never finish since a vital piece to progress was quite literally non existent. Story was boring at best and it felt like despite the studio having a decent concept for the game, they dropped the ball with the potential they had. Overall was kinda let down story wise
Honestly in my opinion DS 3 is a cool game. Isaac Clark is awesome in this game. The weapon crafting system is so similar to fallout 4. I have only two problems: 1. They really changed Ellies character. Especially with the whole love triangle nonsense. 2. The game ends on a huge cliffhanger with the DLC and they just let the game sleep for 9 years? Awful man. I really wanna know how earth is gonna survive the necromorph moons!
@@cristoff30 well the thing is it did for me because Isaac is an experienced warrior. I mean yeah he does feel a little scared but at this point he’s calm and collected. He’s not in terror like in the first game and he’s not blinded by rage & hallucinations like in the second game.
@@Steel-101 Nice. You put the role playing in rpg. I had a blast playing coop in ds3. Couldn't really get into the story, but that's a cool way to look at it.
Command and conquer 4, only once. I was excited when EA announced it, but when I played it, ooof. I played it enough to get max rank for both factions, helped a couple people through the campaign, but after that I haven’t touched it since, I still go back and play the other C&C titles for that nostalgia once in a while
Red Faction: Armageddon removed one of the greatest aspects of Guerilla, a wide open world, and replaced it with an oppressive, claustrophobic set of tunnels and caverns, and a linear play style. This made the destruction less dramatic, muting the coolness of the new cool weapons, and trapped the player in all kinds of unpleasant situations.
I loved Duke Nukem Forever. Was it as good as the older ones? No, but I still really enjoyed it. What bugged me most on release was that everyone I came across who was trashing it never even played it. If they tried it and didn't like it, fair enough, but they were endlessly trashing it because [insert random internet guy here] didn't like it.
I have it and I think this fella summed it up, it's just dull and generic. The hate is exaggerated though, it's at least functional which gives it an advantage over some of the crap that gets released.
I played Duke Nukem Forever when it first came out and thought it was fine. Not great, not as terrible as hyped. It was fun and dumb in typical Duke Nukem fashion. I think since Gearbox took it over and Borderlands was so hot at the time, that expectations were WAY too high. Throw in the legendary extended development time and people were ready to pounce on it regardless of how it actually ended up.
Yes, it is ok-ish game. Not the greatest one ever, not the worst one either. If you take a look the problems with its development time like (14 YEARS) and how many revamps it took, its a small miracle that DNF even got published.
I don't remember if they were mentioned in the previous video, but a couple bad sequels I can think of would have to be Dino Crisis 3 and The Third Birthday (the third game in the Parasite Eve series). Those two games completely changed from the previous games in their respective series.
Third birthday cut me deep. PE 1+2 were a couple of my favourite games on PSX, was so excited to here a third game was coming out.... Then it came out.
I wouldn't say it sucked, but a sequel I was severely disappointed by was Dying Light 2. What a goddamn shame... Even with the significantly expanded narrative, to say it was a massive stepdown from the original in so many ways would be an understatement.
The sad thing about Andromeda is that the combat was very fun imo. But it was missing one of the things that made ME 1-3 so great...likeable characters.
I did LE in the past few weeks and am currently doing Andromeda. Aside from the faces and the part where I can't decide who I want Ryder to bang because everyone is lame...It's way more fun to play.
I liked the world building mechanics and would have enjoyed a more fleshed out sequel with way more planets. Best $2.99 bargain bin purchase I ever made.
Most of the time, when the Sequel Sucks, it's because it was passed off to another team to complete it quickly while the original teams works on a higher profile project or something of the like
@@Matt-md5yt RIP Blood. The first game was a contender for the best pre-Half-Life FPS of the 90s. Just imagine how amazing a sequel that improved everything about that game would've been...
I just like to think of Andromeda as a Big DLC to the original trilogy. "Look what these guys were doing while Shepard was fighting reapers". There's nothing in me whatsoever that sees it as, 'mass effect 4' it's just not the next game 😅
I never comment on TH-cam videos for a multitude of reasons but I wanted to thank you for pointing out the abomination that was Sacred 3. My wife and myself spent an inordinate amount of time on Sacred 1 and 2 before we had children whom I am now, in turn, introducing to the first 2 games. The treatment of the series for the 3rd entry, which we preordered despite the warning signs (last time I made that error in judgment), was insipid and repulsive. I loathe Sacred 3 at least it did force us to search out alternatives like Path of exile, Grim dawn and Titan quest where we had hundreds of hours of indulgence and enjoyment.
in regards to 2042 you gotta give em credit for admitting they done fucked up and are actually atleast trying to fix it like apparenty they are reworking the specialist system to be more similar to the class system
I actually really enjoyed Goldeneye Rogue agent, it’s not as good as other shooters but I thought it was an interesting take on things. I can see why it could be considered disappointing though. Keep it up with the cool vids!

I actually loved crackdown 2 when it launched. Though I only bought because my best friend was playing it a lot. Never played crackdown 1 until like 2020. I have some fantastic memories from playing with my best friend on crackdown 2. Went back in 2020 to revisit it and Yeah, it's not that good lol. Only played it for like 2 hours and by the 30 minute point I was forcing myself to play it lol. To this day, Mass Effect Andromeda I haven't played. Despite me loving the mass effect games. It just has such a negative reputation that to this day pushes me away from even giving it a chance. Dead Space 3 I got in 2014 and I was really excited for it. Loved D1 and D2. But God was it mediocre. I did get that same best friend from earlier to play co op campaign with me. He hates HATES horror games. I love them. It was pure humor. Whenever he'd get scared by a jump scare or necromorphs, he'd run away and just say "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!" He was saying that to me lol. He did push himself to finish the game with me and his final words on the game once the credits started to roll was simply, "I am NEVER playing that again." Imagine how he'd feel if he played D1 and D2 MUCH more scarier games. To this day I occasionally mention it and he just starts laughing about it. And repeating "I am never doing that again" as he starts laughing again.
It's because these companies started getting comfortable, and started thinking us gamers were loyal to them thinking we'd just buy everything they put out, and that's not completely false
@@lwdrd Theres some part on the gamers too, theres a huge list of games trying to inovate and not selling well, Beyong Good & Evil, System Shock, LA Noire, Spore, etc... Meanwhile Fifa, COD, A.Creed sell millions and millions, with the same game again and gain.
Only reason why FIFA, Madden, 2K, MLB the Show, etc. are still delling are because sports fans are the majority of those awful, stagnant game's playerbase, and most if then are drones who never played a functioning video game in their life.
Didn't find your video of great games that didn't get a sequel... Just in case, here a few suggestions: LA Noire - Bully - Jade Empire - Bloodborne - Sleeping Dogs - Alpha Protocol - Spec Ops The Line - Okami - Bulletstorm - Vanquish - Enslaved - The Order: 1886 - Sekiro - Freedom Fighters - Tyranny - Viking: Battle for Asgard... Some franchise stand-alones: Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Prey, MGS: Revengeance, The Simpsons Hit and Run, Star Wars: Republic Commando. And older games: Grim Fandango, Vagrant Story, Arcanum, Eternal Darkness, Arx Fatalis, The Nomad Soul (different universe than others QD's games).
ME Andromeda is, after various fixes and patches, pretty good now. It's no Trilogy, but a heck of a lot better than it launched as. Some technical glitches and bugs are probably unfixable, but I've only encountered them very sparingly. Gameplay mechanics is top-notch, while the story (and that ending) itself is interesting enough to deserve a sequel (which won't happen now sadly).
DMC2 "hate" is spot-on! I completely agree everything you said. Dull and boring all around: dull graphics, dull levels, dull combat, dull enemies, dull everything. And I even agree that "reboot-DMC" is a good game. Not on par with "real" Devil May Cry games but a good action game nonetheless. I've heard people sometimes say that "DMC2 is a bad DMC but a good action game"... no, it's not. It's dull and boring.
I just played the Dead Space trilogy for the first time in October this year. LOVED 1 & 2, but 3 felt off right from the jump. I can't really explain it, but just from a game sense standpoint, it didn't feel like the previous 2. There wasn't really a feeling of seclusion and terror right off to put you on edge right at the start, and even the controls felt awkward, despite being the same from DS2. Add in the mandatory co-op to participate in some parts of the story, and it's just off-putting.
I thought it was pretty decent as well, I guess I have unique taste cause I hated pretty much every other FPS from that era. One persons trash is another persons treasure I guess.
the early Harry Potter games are some of my favourite games ever - and i would not be mad if they remastered it. They are probably what got me into story rich, action/adventure games. i lost interest at goblet of fire onwards though. Philosophers (Sorcerers) Stone and Chamber are my faves though.
2 sucked, but I’m even more controversial in that I think the remake was the best of the series. It was just so fun and had a great sense of humor. They even made platforming work. 5 was good but I quit after Son Of Sparta because the lock-on system was very flawed in my opinion.
Maybe I don’t remember since I was little but I thought dmc 2 was good too. I remember playing those games and thought they were great and cool with the combo system.
@@dirizarr Play Devil May Cry 2 also a long time ago the first one was much more difficult the second had a mechanic called difficulty scaling the game was as hard as the player can handle basically so me and my friend would play off and on pass the controller back and forth it would confuse the game we played very different
The worst part about Dead Space 3 is that you could still find glimpses of some quality horror in those optional side missions. But it just seems like the gutted out the horror in general. It's similar to what happened with the F.E.A.R. series.
I played Mass Effect Andromeda at launch on PC and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I also didn't have the issues that most people had with it. I just really like the Mass Effect world and lore as a whole.
I enjoyed Crackdown 2 once I unlocked the Quackers grenade. That thing made the final boss area an absolute breeze. And it was satisfying to clear out hordes of enemies by throwing a rubber ducky at them. Wish it had more of what made the first game fun, but oh well
@YamiGekusu played CD3 through the game pass a year or 2 after its release and imo can be best compared to the reboot of Saints Row. (Not the same and not as good)
I still believe that Max Payne 3 needs to make one of these lists - maybe not a "worst ever", but a "damn that was bad" list. Distinct lack of ammo, the EXTREME linearity, and the removal of all the humor. It really really wasn't good. Max Payne 1 and (especially) Max Payne 2 were someof my favorite games of that era. 3 just.... no. And do NOT get me started on the loading times. 25GB+ game and they installed 6GB of data to the hard-disc?!!?!?!?? Gimme a break.
sacred 3 was ....i mean what can i say? i played sacred 2 at least 4 times. 1200 hours at least. i was so pumped and jazzed for part 3....i remember seeing early concept art and clips. my friend and myself preordered it. i went bright and early to pick my copy up. i got home and threw that bad boy into the system. 2 hours later i was on the phone with my friend warning him not to buy it. that we had been swindled. i returned the game that morning and got my money back at ebgames. lucky for me, my edge card had a 9 day satisfaction guarantee i could use.
I didn't think ME:Andromeda was taht bad. Not the best but not taht bad either. Maybe it's because I have played it years after release where all the fixes were applied already. Kinda liked the planet exploration, especially the ruins, and the characters. Combat was also fun.
I liked Dead Space 3! It wasn't as scary as the first two, but I liked the weapon crafting because it made Isaac flex his engineering degree and the weapon possibilities were cool, and the final boss and the lore around it were quite the reveal. Yes, EA mucked it up, but I had a lot of fun it regardless. I hope we get Dead Space 4, and it features a refined crafting system and Isaac, Ellie and Carver scrambling to find a way to defeat the (redacted)
Andromeda was a case of awesome idea, bad execution. Bugs aside it just couldn't live up to what it was trying to do. Which sucks becaue I'd love to see the series attempt something like that again but they never will after that mess
I played Andromeda in 2022, and I loved it. Was it like the OG Trilogy? Did it have great writing anddeep character interactions? No. Was it fun to play? Yes.
Resident Evil 6 doesn’t suck, its a good game. Its only bad compared to resident evil terms considering how action packed they went…definitely my least favorite RE game but it’s still fun for what it is, especially because of co-op.
I know it’s not the kind of game that you normally cover but, FIFA, they bring a new game out, year after year and they just get worse. Every year they only put money into the ultimate team side because they obviously make all the extra money from the micro transactions, then ignore the rest of the game. I want to play it but it’s not worth it at all anymore
Honestly, Mass Effect Andromeda was pretty fun. There was a couple of planets that I absolutely hated (the jungle like one) but other then that, the gameplay was amazing. The story wasn’t all there for me, but it’s worth a play through.
Yeah, neither did I. During a session during spring break around that time I played it for 11 hours and the only time I had to turn the game off and restart was when I was going to a new area and my screen went black and wouldn't load but besides that I wasn't getting game breaking bugs that the community was constantly complaining about. ME:A was the new game I played in 2017 since I was still in school at the time and it was the best experience I ever had all year!!
I watched this because I saw Andromeda. As my name suggests, I REALLY like Andromeda. The weird face animations were jank and the bugs were bad, but I hate that it is dumped on so much. It's a good game. But I digress.
Currently playing Andromeda again after Legendary Edition. I hope they continue it. The combat was fun! Hope to see more Milky way species coming to Andromeda plus new Andromeda species to encounter
Andromeda single-player campaign is boring at best. But the co-op is quite decent and makes full use of the improved combat and controls. There's still a number of audio and connectivity issues but otherwise it's a fun time-killer.
I enjoyed it all, not perfect but had a good time. Comparison to the original trilogy will always make it seem poor but I think it had a lot of good )and some bad) going for it.
i played andromeda in 2021 and i gonna say i actually like the game, i was in doubt because of the infamy it cause in the past, but i buy and i gonna say, i actually like the game.
Has Red Alert 3 been on the list? Two words: Forced Co-op. I could not get past that. I wanted to build up my base, do my scouting, produce my blob and enjoy the story shenanigans. But instead I was saddled with an AI player that was either really dumb and hoovered up all the resources, or aggressively good, hoovered up all the resources, and played the mission for me. Remove the AI co-op player and I am down.
C&C4 = Totally agree. They removed the best thing out of the game, base building. Why we still play C&C3 to this day on LAN. ME Andromeda = This I do not agree. The Mass Effect Trilogy is my favorite game of all time. And I played ME Andromeda and I pretty much enjoyed it. People just kept complaining. Bugs can be fixed. It was an enjoyable adventure. They left it open for a sequel and I really hope they make one after ME 5. Duke Nukem Forever = This was the biggest disappointment. I loved the original back in the 90's when i played Duke Nukem 3D. When I tried this... omg. It was a dizzying mess.

You mean the new update?
The thing I hated is that they changed the genre from horror to something else, (the DLC didn't do enough).
I didn't think it was that bad either, just disappointing and not scary at all.
@@mogwix oh wow, cool story! I played it single player actually and I still didn't hate it lol.
Dead space 3 for me was great
Same for resident evil 6
If your a fan, sure it's probably least liked, but nowhere close to games that break the wheel just to reinvent it worse.
In the original trilogy I loved throwing around my biotic abilities like a crazy person and then...Andromeda only lets me equip 3...
same! the only saving grace of that game for me is the combo mechanic.
I agree and would throw in Infamous as well, as Infamous 1 and 2 were amazing but "Second Son" was awful by comparison...... Then the obvious other would be "The Last of Us 2" 🤢🤮
I would have preferred a prequel personally letting you play during the first contact war.
damn, already forgot that, but yeah.
I am amazed at how frequent you are with uploading great videos, keep up the amazing work

My dirty little secret is that I quite enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever.
Agreed I played last year and loved it. Haters ganna hate, but I really enjoyed Andromeda. More than me 3
I liked it a lot too.

Sacred 3... sounds similar to what happened with Dungeon Siege III...
I realy really enjoy its core mechanics so much, especially the freedom of the loadouts and abilities

I snagged it from Best Buy for $3. Played it & beat, then traded it back to Best Buy for $6. Back when they did decent trade prices

It was my first mass effect game I played and I never got the same feeling as I did in Andromeda!
I agree. This game definitely has some flaws. I don’t think it lived up to its legacy but it definitely had potential to. I also think it has the best combat gameplay of all the Mass Effect titles. I think given all its flaws, all in all it was still a solid game.
No. its not fun
I lived Andromeda too. Super fun.

Awful man. @@philithegamer8265 what does that have to do with anything? Also my sister and I quit e enjoy that series, at least the newer ones
Loved it too
I have it and I think this fella summed it up, it's just dull and generic.
I had fun paying it too... but that Underwater section...
Alone in the dark was supposed to run parallel to the Christian slater film
I don't remember if they were mentioned in the previous video, but a couple bad sequels I can think of would have to be Dino Crisis 3 and The Third Birthday (the third game in the Parasite Eve series). Those two games completely changed from the previous games in their respective series.
I second Dino crisis 3
Third birthday cut me deep. PE 1+2 were a couple of my favourite games on PSX, was so excited to here a third game was coming out.... Then it came out.
And more recently Fear Effect Sedna by all accounts.
My issues with it is :bad writing , the lack of new Sentient life forms ,and small portion of Andromeda to explore
Combat is the one thing they did right, I hope that part gets carried into the next one.
I liked the world building mechanics and would have enjoyed a more fleshed out sequel with way more planets. Best $2.99 bargain bin purchase I ever made.

ME Andromeda is, after various fixes and patches, pretty good now. It's no Trilogy, but a heck of a lot better than it launched as. Some technical glitches and bugs are probably unfixable, but I've only encountered them very sparingly.
I had no idea of Duke Nukem development until the game came out and I loved it. I still replay it from time to time. The expansion was great as well.

the early Harry Potter games are some of my favourite games ever - and i would not be mad if they remastered it. They are probably what got me into story rich, action/adventure games. i lost interest at goblet of fire onwards though. Philosophers (Sorcerers) Stone and Chamber are my faves though.
Andromeda was good. I can't change my mind. yes it had some down but I still think its worth playing and I enjoyed it
Guessing you played it when you were a little kid who had not played many games. It sucked 👍
You missed the part where Tiberium Twilight was named after the Twilight books. They polled fans for the name and the fans decided to troll EA.
I think I'm one of the few that actually liked every single Devil May Cry game. Devil May Cry 2 was not a bad game and DMC wasn't either.
@@dirizarr don't get me wrong I enjoy Devil May Cry 2 just the difficulty scaling
It’s not a bad game, it’s not mediocre, it’s good, but hype + bugs murdered it
I swear I played a different Amdromeda than everyone else. I've played through that game several times and I've enjoyed it every time.
I enjoyed Crackdown 2 once I unlocked the Quackers grenade. That thing made the final boss area an absolute breeze. And it was satisfying to clear out hordes of enemies by throwing a rubber ducky at them. Wish it had more of what made the first game fun, but oh well
Crackdown 3 should be on here. Crackdown 2 wad fun in my opinion and a great sandbox. Definitely missing a lot of CD1 components though.
@@turtleguy2243 I have never played Crackdown 3 so I wouldn't know '-'
@YamiGekusu played CD3 through the game pass a year or 2 after its release and imo can be best compared to the reboot of Saints Row. (Not the same and not as good)
@@turtleguy2243 crackdown 3 is a awesome game i play it :) and crackdown 2 is a great game too i play it too :)
Absolutely amazing that you quickly covered the list for part 1
DMC was so bad, only managed 3.5 hour before uninstalling it for good.
Geez that still of the headstones at 13:16 really hits you in the heart doesn’t it
sacred 3 was ....i mean what can i say?
i played sacred 2 at least 4 times.
Yes.
Amazing list! Resi 6 and Dino crisis 3 should be in one these lists soon!
Resident Evil 6 doesn’t suck, its a good game. Its only bad compared to resident evil terms considering how action packed they went…definitely my least favorite RE game but it’s still fun for what it is, especially because of co-op.
Nah, RE6 sucked
I know it’s not the kind of game that you normally cover but, FIFA, they bring a new game out, year after year and they just get worse. Every year they only put money into the ultimate team side because they obviously make all the extra money from the micro transactions, then ignore the rest of the game. I want to play it but it’s not worth it at all anymore
Honestly, Mass Effect Andromeda was pretty fun. There was a couple of planets that I absolutely hated (the jungle like one) but other then that, the gameplay was amazing. The story wasn’t all there for me, but it’s worth a play through.
Majority disagree therefore it sucked 👍
@@rayromano6249 that’s not how opinions work, genius. 👍
Played Andromeda at launch and really didn't see many bugs. The combat was the best of the series IMO, had a lot of fun
I loved Alone in the Dark and Crackdown 2 was fun.
I played Andromeda about 2yrs after release. Plays the OT for years before it.
Andromeda is not a bad game.
*Dying light 2*
I jjust finish ME Andromeda and is pretty good, really once you get the game mechanics its actually good game, with much better ending than ME3
Every time I remember Tim Curry shouting "SPACE" a spark of joy lights up in me.
"But whenever I turn on the game to reevaluate, I end up just wanting to take a nap." 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I still rank it over ME:3. That ending...
i played andromeda in 2021 and i gonna say i actually like the game, i was in doubt because of the infamy it cause in the past, but i buy and i gonna say, i actually like the game.
Loved it
Me and my dad used to love playing command and conquer, sad to see one of its sequels on the list
The reason Devil May Cry 3 is so good is because the director, Hideaki Itsuno, didn't want to be remembered as the guy that made Devil May Cry 2
Still sad about the command and conquer franchise. I played so much red alert 2 and tiberian sun and remember them fondly still
It’s literally “ Oh how the mighty have fallen” 😅
CnC was THE pc series of the 90s
You sound different from your older videos. Can’t put my finger on it though. Great content as always.
I so loved the Alone in the dark remake. Was so disappointed the PC port was broken to unplayable.
I actually liked Duke Nukem Forever a lot.
Not many games out there that let you walk around with a turd in your hand.
Gameranx’s disdain for Dynasty Warriors 9 is the best
Cuz it’s not just falcon, mainly everyone there hates it
Ideas for part 3 : Project Cars 3, Outlast 2 , Far Cry New Dawn.
