In 2010 I had a temporary summer job in the first building you got into. The site was owned by Engelhards since the 60s and the first building was their sales office. My dad worked at Engelhards for 20+ years including a few years after they were bought out by BASF. BASF moved to a brand new building pretty close by a few years later. The site was used to recycle all precious metals, not just platinum. The metals were recycled using various processes including the process of shredding old circuit boards to obtain the precious metal used within them and crushing up of catalytic converters. The bigger building you couldn't get in to at the start was owned by Ensors. I couldn't say who it was owned by before that as I was too young to remember/care. As far as I can remember, that building only seemed to be full of office workers, but I could be wrong as I never went in there.
Hey man I just wanted to say I enjoy all your videos and your content I appreciate you taking so long you know us along with you and I appreciate you know your personality you are so cool you joke around a lot too that's awesome about it dude you're a cool dude man thank you again for being yourself you're awesome
Have you seen the green slime in the drains in the main factory? When I was there a few years ago then we did a really sketchy climb up a pile of old doors onto the roof the main building.
At 1hr.35 min. I think the tall cylindrical tank thing is maybe an evaporator or condensor. Used in milk processing. We had similar stuff at a food factory I worked at in the past.
I don’t reckon urban exploration is the right choice for Blessy god love him. Still breathing through his arse 20 mins after trying to climb the fence.
Good explore video Matt. So what time period was the building used to process dairy products? With the many chemical fume hoods in the place, I would have thought they would not have spare space to leave dairy equipment from a prior tenant of the space.
I hope you didnt touch too much in the labs , platinosis is a horrible way to die. flux is added when you smelt metals to make them more pure and smelt easier
Matt did this place catch fire whilst it was in operation or when abandened? knobs who set fire to buildings dont relise they put firefighters or anyone elses lives at risk
No should have taken a ladder, oh one slip and you could be singing in a higher voice. They always say you should not leave anybody behind. He came he viewed but maybe his legs were too short??
@@Blessy_exploring Why do you have to spend £10 for, a history remember a man climbed over a gate at Avonmouth Docks and he climbed over the fence his wedding ring caught on the barbed wire on top of the gate and he jumped down his ring finger stayed behind. I don't know what his wife was unhappy about the loss of his wedding ring or his finger, I thought you used the index finger.
@1:45:55 I heard the same Hello as heard later when you were on the stairs going down. Kind sounds like a female voice, although to be fair it was very parrot sounding lol

Me and my mates built that in the main building ,we used what we could find 😁 was sketchy but got us up there 😉
Were there any samples still remaining?

The red pipes for the different zones was the fire suppression system.

all that zone stuff in basement is part of the fire suppression equipment for the building

That’s alright mate if you spend an extra £10 you can see the tubby bloke spend another 15 mins still climbing

I’m sure the Police would be very keen on watching this , breaking and entering into such places. Who do you think you are exactly, above the Law?
You do need to find a new hobby mate these videos are going downhill in the past year 😢
