So funny story with my first tamed quetz, I killed one so I can revive it at the obelisk, and once I got enough amber to do so, as I hit it with a toxic arrow, it flies downward into the wall, allowing me to tranq it without chase. It’s level was in the mid 20’s, and one more stupid thing I did. I completely forgot that it likes rex kibble, and I let it sit there in my preserving bin. And it’s STILL in my bin. One regular raw meat and balm took about 32 percent, and it eats real slow, so prepare for it well!
Edit: the way you tamed that quetzal was the same way I tamed my first spino btw. It was starving and was eating everything until 90% where it was eating like normal.

Carlos Ortiz that’s called starve taming, but no, I just put food in the spino straight away and it ate like it was Kirby.

@@St4rBurst04 i always feed it after knocking it out cuz if you dont actually know if a knocked creature is feeded and still has food in inventory you cant damage it

Here is a tip for schwalbe and for you guys to. If your Quartzal falls in the water get the Equus then make a laso swing it on the unconsios Quartzal then pull it out of the water then you saved it. So good luck

For anyone thinking of trying this, if your Argy is too fast and does too much damage just open up the parachute while hooked to your Argy. It will slow you down to the same speed as the quetz.

Guys, when taming a quetzal friend don't forget about not letting your animal to bite him. My quetzal was almost killed by my tapejara. Please remember.

Bro I almost tame 2 quetzal and it just died 2 times my first one got killed by titaniboa or sarco and the second one got killed my Argentavis because it attack by terror bird

Turn up your volume, fly along the river north of Redwood and you should be able to hear squeaky sounds from otters, then simply jump off and swim around to find. :)

Pro tip for if the Quetzal goes in the redwoods: if you’ve already whistled attack target once, just whistle assist and you wont have to aim at it

I find jumping off argy deploying parachute and then grapple to argy so u don’t just fall so quick and parachute helps a lot for shooting at quetz also

I got a apprentice saddle from it i hoped it would be Mastercraft from terror bird hunt i got Mastercraft sword from dilo hunt i got Mastercraft bow from thin air I got Mastercraft tape Jara saddle so I was hoping on Mastercraft from argue hunt too

You can also tame with the Tapejara i dont know if you can mount on their passenger seat but If you can you Just Go close to the quetzal get in the front passenger seat target the quetz And shoot while the Tapejara can Go after it

I did this yesterday, landed in the RedWoods, and by some freaking miracle before a terror bird got to it I was able to catch it in the last second... Whew, 100% effectivness saved.
Smoothest gameplay possible. I play single player and always crash

Tip if you have a Tapjara Push a Chair button and Whistle to attack for the quetzals

Well, I used the Tapejara method and it took me WAY MORE tranqs to the arse than he should had, but well, he was tamed. He took all my kibble (I only got two) in one feeding with a normie soothing balm. And I used the saddle I got from the Hunt: Argentavis pursuit.
I recommend using tapejara and enter shooting mode, then click attack target and shoot it until its knockout
When the quetz lands in the water just leave, save, and rejoin and it will be slightly hovering
