Town of Salem 2 brings new roles, new features, and new life to the world of Salem and the social deduction genre. Join up to 14 other players online and use your wit and abilities to emerge victorious. As a Town member, your goal is to lead your fellow members to victory by identifying and eliminating your opposition. Use your role's unique abilities to reveal yourself as innocent, track down killers, or even take down suspicious individuals. There are countless ways to play and win.
Meanwhile, the Coven, Neutral, and Apocalypse factions work from the shadows, using their own abilities to thwart the Town's efforts. Whether it's burning away dead bodies, blocking Town members' abilities, or going on a killing rampage, each role has its own unique approach to achieving victory.
BetterTOS2 Mod adds 7 new roles and various new content such as Jackal , Auditor , Judge, Starspawn , Oracle and Inquisitor to enhance the TOS2 gameplay. And the mod also comes with various balance changes fixing what was problematic in vanilla,

The thing I hate about BG is that if you die you did your job. If you die protecting someone you also did a job and then you just have to wait till either Pandora Wins or Town Wins.

Well how do you balance it without it being overpowered? Bg as of now is an excellent role. A town for a pandora is an amazing trade. You can’t make Bg live any attacks as other whys it would be broken.

TT couldn’t be TI or TPOW both warlock and Rit claimed TI. And because of the failed warlock play to buss ritualist TT cannot be TK/TPOW because they were going for death win which indicates a weak TT.

For someone playing the "Worst Role", if not for the knighted ret 9 didn't do too bad, but they definitely still had a shot if they were more ready to act in the moment.
They could have mentioned how they could be fast voting them when Mayor was confirmed but wasn't to blend in, letting the confirmed town do the job because it would drop suspicion. Or that they could have just shot the seer to get on the town's side.
It's far from a foolproof plan, but that logic is pretty sound enough to sway the opinion on lesser experienced players. Though I can imagine the pressure 9 went through as well, even I would cave to the pressure as honestly I'm awful at playing evil roles in social deception games.
Once, I had a game where it was down to three players: Me (BG extraordinaire), a Mayor, and an SK. I'd been semi chained with the cleric the whole game, Mayor decided to reveal D2, and I had actually been confirmed by protecting someone, the cleric saving me, and the attacker dying.
It's the last day we can vote, and it's basically a wrap since if we don't vote, I go on the Mayor and either I get killed directly or bodyslam the SK hard enough to break both our spines and if we do vote it's kinda obvious who the evil is.
And I got dealt that good ol ToS magic where the other townie needs to do literally nothing, and we win (I said as much), and naturally, he decides that someone needs to be hung and immediately puts me up in spite of the SK:
1. Not claiming till D3 2. Having an insanely weak claim after claiming 3. Not contributing anything.
And so that Mayor threw away an easy win due to stupidity or him being teamed.
BG Tweak Idea:
His vest grants him defence *while* he protects his target, so if the attacker only deals basic damage both the target and the BG can live if the BG can predict the incoming attack
And powerful attacks from bers, ww and SK still do their things

With the Crusader rework, do they still give Powerful Defense?
They technically don’t, they kinda give Powerful Defence but Astral or Unstoppable attackers can kill the target the Crusader went to
