Youngling? Jude Law the actor is 51, so if Jod is around the same age then he would have been 20+/- when order 66 happened, making him a padawan or more likely a brand new Jedi Knight at best. Skeleton Crew is listed as 9ABY (After the Battle of Yavin) so it is 28 years since Order 66 and the fall of the Order (19BBY). The fact that Jod could "throw" sounds to distract the guards is the same skill Obi-Wan used to distract stormtroopers on the Death Star. He's clearly trained to some degree.

Definitely aware that he’s force sensitive. He’s shown that he knows how to do some things at least. He’s might just never had been discovered by the Jedi and he just kept his abilities to himself. 🤷🏻‍♂️.
Like you said though I can’t see how he could’ve been a youngling given the timeline and his age (assuming it’s near as Jude Law’s is). That’s a big assumption though, they could say anything if they want really, as far as his age is. 🤔

makes sense for reality but its not the real world so drop the figures. Jude is not known enough now and thats all we know for sure as for Xwing fighters we can assume they are good guys we do not know might be they take the kids to a holding pen for months till the planet is found then its extraction time

I suspect this is the case, and this is his redemption arch, and in the course of this adventure I suspect one or more of the children end up force sensitive as well.

Suppose he could have been a failed youngling. That left the order (or got kicked out) while he was still a youngling well before order 66. Not even a Padawan yet. But still knew some basics.

As soon as I heard his name, Crimson Jack, I thought of Crimson Dawn. The big crime syndicate in Star Wars. I wonder if there will be some sort of tie with the two.

Excellent video and I pretty much agree with your take. It's not who he is but what he is going to become. I've been of the mind that he MAY be force sensative but that's not the real story. The fact is that he was a pirate and did bad things. He ordered the captain of the ship they boarded in the intro of the series to be thrown out the airlock. That's a horrible way to kill someone. What's more interesting, to your point, is that this is Star Wars and he is on his redemption arc. Star Wars is very simple at it's core. Good. Bad. Fall down. Get back up. Redemption. To that point and not to derail this comment section but i thought Luke losing faith and disconnecting from the force in the sequel trilogy was par for the Star Wars course but apparently fans wanted Luke to be infallable. That's just not the Star Wars that I've been watching all my life. I saw Yoda and Obi-Wan become recluses and reject their obligation to keep fighting. Obi-Wan came around in the end but only because he had to. Yoda just wanted to be left alone but Luke was forced on him to be trained. It's Star Wars. Losing your faith in good things to be later redeemed is the poetry that's been rhyming since 1977. Glad Disney understands this key point. Too bad the fans mostly don't get that.

People were mad about what they did with Luke because the plot didn’t make sense for the pre-established character, this is the same man who thought his father could be redeemed when his father was basically space Joseph Goebel’s.
Given what Vader did, and what Luke new Vader did, why would he try and 86 his nephew just because he had some nightmares?

@@allthenewsordeath5772Yoda and Obi-Wan became recluses and didn't want to engage in the war and grew old all alone with themselves. Why would Luke be any different? It's a Star Wars trope to fall down and get back up. Maybe i'm watching something else than everybody? Apparently.

Not really, Yoda and Obi-Wan weren’t Warriors starting out, when they became Jedi the Jedi were peacekeepers, then they were essentially drafted into being generals in a war, miserably failed to stop the destruction of the Jedi order and rise of the empire, and in Obi-Wan’s case were betrayed by Their closest friend, Luke didn’t really have the same baggage.
He just became a bitter old man because that’s what the plot demanded, and their in lies the problem, it’s not particular to Star Wars mind you but it’s a trap many sequels fall into where the old hero has to be washed up and pathetic so that they can have a side plot of learning to be heroes again by helping the new hero on their journey and then dying.
Also note that Obi-Wan was on Tatooine expressly to protect Luke, he never gave up the good fight.

My theory is that he's the young lingerie everyone thought was smoke. As I don't think Anakin killed those young lines from the order 66 as he was so torn about killing the sandpeople's kids

That’s a good theory I do think anakin killed those kids ( especially because on of the inquisitors ( the one in obi wan) was on of those kids and played dead to survive the Jedi purge) but that would be a cool theory if true

My bet is on him being the son of a jedi that was left on the run after order 66 and maybe she was caught by the inquisitors leaving him an orphan with some force connection.

Jod seems to be a nod to Long John Silver from Treasure Island (1950), but that character in the end was an unredeemable if loveable scoundrel.

The redeem ability of Long John Silver seems to vary with every iteration, but yeah, I’m getting some serious treasure Island/treasure planet vibes.

Dreaded Pirate Roberts? No, more like Dreaded Pirate Crimson Jack! (Dreaded Pirate Silvo on weekends.) A title/honorary rather than a name.
So he's most likely Jod Na Nawood, he's just not a Jedi. I don't think he's ever been part of the order, not as a youngling either. He's bokken, if anything.
Everyone's lost track of the "Jedi Nina Nawood" then? (Forgotten what actress was credited, not on imdb right now at any rate)
Sister? Mom? (wife?) At least he (probably) had a close relative who was force sensitive, and gave him some rudimentary training since an increased M-count ran in the family...
