This is the best example of come to find and I've been look for years. I made me own but thankyou you have just given me the idea I needed. I love the reverse idea and the square hole in earth guide block. This just makes perfect sense. A bonus addition would be to have the arrow feed on a screw or thread to wind and feed in and while you wind and feed it has an arm below with another guide or stay on the back side of the motor so as you wind it through it picks it up as it goes out the back of the lathe chuck to keep the arrow from maybe getting a wobble up and flying to peices. Any way thanks for a great idea friend.
After watching several videos its obvious this is one of the best channels on you tube. Great information, great presentation! Thank you Donald Porta for sharing your endless knowledge!
All you need now is some points feathers an most important some WAR PAINT !!! Your truely amazing Donald very cool invention you have there. Thank you friend
It would be very interesting to see if this was feasible on a medieval rod and treadle lathe. It would take longer but quicker than an arrow box.....any ideas

Glad you liked it Timmy
Nice video. The 'Yellow' you refer to is correctly called 'Straw' (light to dark).

What kind of lathe is it that you can pull the shaft trough it? Is that standard for a lathe?
it is on the larger lathes
@@donaldporta Thank you, didn't know that.
Great job! Thanks for sharing! :) how much RPM does have your turning machine? Is enough 1500rpm to make such operation? Thanks in advance :)
