      Kobe Bryant Too bad I'm not interested in arguing over it on the internet anymore. I don't have any hefty long ass replies to people who CHOOSE to ignore systematic racism. So say whatever you'd like to say. Anyone for that matter. I'm done reading the comments, and I'm certainly done investing in the pattern of why you believe what you do. You could very well be a troll, or someone simply curious. If you want to get to the core. Talk to people. Off the internet. In your community - get to know who is around you and have a conversation about race. Something that this country tends to lack. Nobody talking anymore, it's easy to get behind a computer and claim you are whatever you say. Spewing out useless numbers and comparing how the average X meets Y. I don't give a damn, anymore. The benefit isn't conclusive, and so next time - my replies won't be so fresh and consistent. (Cause I'm already talking longer than expected) I ain't involved in this war anymore - do what you do. For every effect there is a cause, whether you believe it or not. Peace the fuck out.

You couldn't even do it to white Mothers and Fathers so lets not act like you have a real solution to African American families. Easier said than done.
      And if you want a real solution, start reading the comments you reply to without spreading that Mother and Father stuff on every comment. YES it would help to have both parents but how the hell do you expect to bring Mothers and Fathers together with out your magic wand?

    I must say that I'm really starting to like this guy a lot. He's a comedic reporter but his reports make the most sense compared to the "serious" reports about Baltimore from CNN and FOX. He's not condoning the riots but he most certainly understands the root of the problem and I respect him for being conscious. I especially like the beginning as well when he points out the double standard in how the media portrays sports riots compared to Black uprisings. I fucks with this dude man I really do.

    • @nepalihercules
      @nepalihercules 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      anianza mujhamad well that is true, systematic racism was rife during that time but it's not so bad now. look at black families, it's pretty much dead. welfare mentality has kicked it along with the get rich quick mentality has destroyed black families and communities. racist policies don't help either, but how do you change that. you change it from the inside. you join the police, become lawyers, judges and not do drugs. black people are targeted more, but they shouldn't be doing drugs in the first place. it's not even worth it. feminism definitely hasn't helped black people at all, it's just made it that much worse. i'll well aware of the black wall street but do you really think they didn't have racist policies back in the day? they had it much worse. black people have never had this much freedom in america. what's stopping black people from starting their own business now? what stopped black people from being educated? complaining isn't really going to do much, you gotta act on it to solve the problem. it's a generational battle and black people don't seem to realise it. they need to start building wealth so that they can pass it down to their kids and they can build on top of it. that's how you build family wealth. that's why white people are much better off before they start out being better off.

    • @nepalihercules
      @nepalihercules 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      anianza mujhamad It's true that 797,500 people under 18 were reported missing in a one-year period, according to a 2002 study. But of those cases, 203,900 were family abductions, 58,200 were nonfamily abductions, and only 115 were "stereotypical kidnappings,"

      No people don't understand that. They think jobs grow on trees and increased public spending will solve everything. The only way to clean up the intercity is to increase the jobs there. These riots make them worse off than they were before. People get involved with the illegal things because they want to make money. That in turn causes violence. Places with high unemployment lead to more violence and cops deal with more things in these areas which put them on edge more than they would be elsewhere. This leads to tragedies but the reason isn't racist cops it's violence in their communities that make cops overly tense and it leads to horrific incidents

    I remember crap like this on my University Campus after a big game or Halloween. Once I saw a mob of people and a group of guys tip over a van parked on a street that no cars were supposed to be parked on.

    I think a civilian oversight committee is needed to oversee the police departments in all major U.S. cities. Police are killing unarmed Americans under dubious circumstances and it seems they only have to claim they were nervous or string together a flimsy excuse and it gets shrugged off as an unfortunate tragedy. This country is set up with checks and balances to prevent the kind of tyranny suffered under King George the third...(life liberty and property was taken at the kings pleasure without due process) Police power is unchecked because they are allowed to police themselves. A separate body of authority such as a civilian oversight committee could be the check that's missing, police would then have a body that would hold any misconduct accountable. We can select an oversight committee similar to the way we select the local grand juries for each respective county, federally funded (to avoid local political intrigues) so they can retain the services of special investigators and all the other expenses necessary to carry out there duties appointments lasting no longer than 6 months. Anyway that's my 2 cents worth

    I live not too far away from Baltimore and everyone outside of MD kept on asking me if I was "Okay" during the Baltimore riots. Like what the hell? Am I supposed to be in danger? And I live in MARYLAND- like dude you read/watch the news too. Get your shit together.

    If Jon Stewart were running for President, I'd vote for him! He has a deep and profound understanding of social problems and he isn't afraid to not only speak the truth about it, but he also calls out the mainstream "media experts" and government officials for their deceptive choice of words and fake ignorance of the issues. Jon Stewart is the kind of sensible, intelligent, and highly perceptive guy that should be running this country.

    Maintain our society in order is extremely important. This is what the policemen there for. The school is very important for young people's future. They shouldn't be taught or organized to break or damage the city instead of going to school to learn more for their future. It's not wise to give up their own learning opportunities and being used to do violent things or committed into any crimes to be arrested. Let the young people go to school for their own successful future. It's the problems of the leadership there to allow this to happen. Their Gov't don't teach people what's right and what is wrong, but our show man is teaching us a good lesson. Thanks, John!

    Because we never address and correct the problems, we end up in the same place with stupid regularity. And while dumping the issues of low pay, low jobs, nad healthcare onto cops in no way excuses their brutality towards citizens.
    Repeating the same thing over and over expecting different results is both insanity, and practice (you musicians will get that one).
