Proud to say I've known these three woman (and Phil) since the beginnings of WFP. They've always been powerful voices, it's just recently that they've discovered a way to share it with the world on ABG podcast. Wasn't on this episode but love the perspective and hope to show more of it in the future
i mean, i knew that helen and phil are together and was kinda waiting for it to be mentioned but then i realized that it wasn't exactly the topic at hand and i liked that they kept it very professional. it wasn't until the end that i got flutters ☺ it made me so happy! more power to Asian Boss Girl and Wong Fu!
We can see above is a rare Australian snow owl. Thought to be extinct since 2016, it was briefly spotted in a comment section in 2019. It feeds on unkept promises.
I cant handle the level of genius behind Phil slipping it in at the end AFTER the sponsors and good byes knowing some people tuned out before then 😂...
I ended up checking their podcast and it's awesome! It's a really fun experience to just listen to 20-something / 30-something professional asian women talk to each other an be best friends and have good conversations
I really love these girls, they're so insightful and relatable. They're like the older sisters i need :> congrats on 4 seasons and i look forward to season 5!
Yeah! finally girls are here. Phill my respect is now increased double for you , empowering others also and giving the new ideas that turn out to be soo good
Omg, I'll never get tired of hearing these three's voices :-) As an AsAm woman pursuing a degree in a professional field, I relate to ABG's content so much. P.S. Janet, girrrrrll, you are glowing!
I love this so much, been looking forward to have time to watch this ep. It’s kinda odd to to a visual video of them gathering and discussing. I have been listening to the podcast for over a year and I’m just so happy to see how much ABG has grown and props to Janet, Helen, and Mel for sharing their own stories!!
omg never thought one day I am able to see Helen, Janet, and Mel saying their prodcast intro with their faces!!! [why did it sound so weird hahahha, lovet their podcasts, cannot wait for season 5!
"Our experiences feel so normal, but then when you put life into it, they become stories. And when people hear those stories, that becomes a community." Dang, that's deep Helen
Never heard/seen these girls before, but big up's to them for going for it and finding success. Helen really seems super professional and put-together...she has one of those "BOSS"/professional woman voices so fits the name of the podcast perfectly. And she's not too shabby to look at either...so I wasn't shocked at the end when Phil said she was his girlfriend...and basically telling all the creepers that were gonna try to slide into her DM's after the vid to back-the-f-off!. lol. On another note, there's def something about Janet that does it for me, and baffling that she's single.
does abg also include mixed asian bc i kind of feel left out of the conversation with my full asian (with lighter skin) girlfriends when it comes to abg qualities bc there is that one underlying specific look when you think of abg.
Omg .. I need this! Especially during this quarantine time... this is so motivating..& yes! I’ve always dating Asian men & most are good & awesome.. married one & I am the luckiest gal
I was wondering why Phil was acting strange and fidgety facial wise when talking to the woman next to him. Then I saw a video titled Phillip proposes to Helen and I was like what. I watched the video and I made a big realization. Two actually. One that Phil is ENGaged HOLY MOLY. Next, that woman next to him is Helen? Wowza that explains a lot.
ok but how do asian girls in LA get their hair to do that cool wavy thing. is it easier when you have dyed hair? i dont trust these midwestern white women stylists though bleaching my hair tbh edit: nevermind ill just listen to their podcast
@@wahtong yeah you right. but idk theres some asians here, mostly hmong, who do a lot of similar things that LA or nyc asian girls do. and also not lol well im adopted so what do i know
worship the comedy god seo eunkwang or else it's relative. With the internet and social media, I am sure there are some Midwest Asians who are similar to the NY/LA Asians. At the end of the day, the NY/LA Asians will be more comfortable with being Asian versus the Midwest Asians. I am a Midwest Asian myself but I was lucky to be able to go to school with a healthy Asian population. And you being adopted is a whole other Asian group.
@@wahtong yeah, very true. its interesting cuz the hmong community is so damn close to each other, in a way i feel is different than other asian groups. so i think most hmong people are comfortable simply because theyre the only asian community around and theres so many in one place. but i do know some vietnamese and chinese here too, and they said they definitely feel out of place a lot, even if they do have smaller communities theyre a part of. i may be adopted but i feel like the fact that most of my friends are asian american ive been able to become an outlier in the sense that other adoptees dont really understand. same with danakadan. i feel like asian americans are people i can relate to more than others, even adoptees, and i dont know if thats just coincidence or if its cuz i am so intrigued by my friends experiences or my interest in asam history and politics or if its because im jealous of them that they didnt have to deal with white parents who were clueless of how to raise asian children. maybe all of the above. cuz for me, i made the deliberate move to SEEK other asians which not a lot of asians do. and ultimately i decided its best for my mental well being to befriend more asians.

I’ve listened to a few of their episodes and I’ve really enjoyed them! Since I have a lot more time on my hands now, I’ll definitely be listening to more. 😊 Also, I’m sure most of us already knew Helen was Phil’s girlfriend, but I still gasped when he said it, cuz it was so cute! Lol 😆

Wait, when did they get together?
something about Janet’s voice and way of speaking reminds me of Arden Cho
YES!! i always thought they looked alike too in certain pictures!
Yes that was also the first thing I thought 😮
I also had to confirm she wasn't Arden's sister 😂

“We can now laugh about it, but that shit was crazy.” Felt that so much!!! Haha thanks for sharing about your relationship Mel
Of course Phil would just mention at the very end instead of when they were saying where they knew each other from 😂
Yes! This will teach me not to take a hiatus from TH-cam. Love Asian Boss Girl podcast!
Honestly, you guys should get a neon lunch break sign. Like a dimmer, it'll make it pop! 🤗
So crazy watching them when I'm so used to hearing there voices, my mind "whoa they sound literally the same"
I can't stop staring at phil's folds on his shirt LOL

Been waiting for this! I listen to ABG religiously!!
9:24 Helen “I’m not the type of person that likes to talk so much either...”
Phil: 🤨

i love these girls. they are a big inspiration for me!
Well spoken group of women.
Tell them to feature asain women who come from low income family backgrounds! Would love to tune in for that
