It just sucks that Bluecoats’ longtime lot sequence went through an upheaval right when Davis Jay, the greatest DCI celebrity in a long time, finally made it.
imagine how much cleaner they could have been if they didn't waste so much time learning and cleaning this 20 minute long sequence back in my day we'd crank 8s at 240 three times and be ready to go easily could have won a second sanford smh
sure bud, 8's only warm ups is what you do when you don't try to teach the concepts to students. EVERYONE HAS WARM UP SEQUENCES! They're trying to WARM UP my guy, that's what you do when you're WARMING UP. And i'd be surprised if wherever you marched only ran 8's at 240 to get ready to perform a whole show.
@@Kenworth97 all these new aged things make me sick! all these sequences and man buns and costumes and funky little lot songs,,, REAL corps back in the good old days of REAL dci with REAL bugles wouldn’t need all this gen z crap!! they need to go back to how we used to do it and stick to 8s at 250
Rip queso. Rip flam jam. Rip pressure. Rip ram 95.
Rip flam jam, loved it but everything has to go eventually. I dig the sequence and exercises, awesome drumming on all fronts.
I hope Roger writes another warmup to Meshuggah within the next few years.
Rumor has it that’s what this year’s etude is written to. 🤫
Change is Everything.

I love how you can hear PR's Canon in the beginning lol
All the iconic warmups went away
When the line was made by Davis Jay
Cannon playing in the beginning is amazing
RIP ram 95
This is a new beginning..........
I like the part where they start playing bleed
I miss queso 😢

@@_ve0 this is actually significantly shorter than their previous sequence which was over 30 min and way harder

Imagine letting them have fun and keeping your mouth closed. that must be a new thought. Heres another one, its just band
Back in my day we didn’t even need to warm up. We just chewed glass on the way to the show and got off the bus ready to ram notes
