Thank you so much for this information. Your instructions are clear, concise, and well-paced. I also appreciate you repeating the screen-sharing aspect. I really needed that. ♥♥♥
Thanks Russell. This was really informative. I had been confused about the different types of screen sharing and coming back to the meeting after finishing the share, but you really cleared that up. Cheers!

Hi Russel, thank you for this video. Very informative and helpful. Can you show how to share audio on google meet for example you want to have listening drill for your students. Thanks for your response.
When you share your screen make sure you share audio. So if you are playing a podcast. open it up on your screen, share you screen and share the sound..it is one of the settings when you share you screen.
Great video Russell. Could you please make a video about sharing a listening activity. I've been struggling with this and I'm literally unable to share an audio. It's either the participants can't hear the audio or it plays in slow motion or it chokes. Thanks
When you screen share, you must share the audio too. That is the only problem. When you go to screen share, look at the bottom of the screen share window and you will see this option.
I guess not everyone has a gmail email, so you'd have to send the link to another email address, wouldn't you? And can you have tiled (all participants on view plus a chat box? Looking forward to seeing a jamboard. Can others write on it as well, or would you need to use some other Google feature to get people writing? Sorry, lots of questions, all new to me and many thanks for the tutorial.
Hi Alison ..Students do not need a GMAIL to receive a webinar in Google Meet..only the person who sets up the meeting. I hope to do the Jamboard one soon.
@@ttvRussell thanks, I will certainly watch them. May I ask you a techie question. I've downloaded IVCam but when I start a Google Meet it defaults to my laptop webcam and there is no option to change to IVCam. Any advice for me?
I don't record my Google Meet sessions as I tend to use Zoom if I am going to do that but I think the recordings will be saved in your GDrive and you will simply share a link to access the videos, so you should be able to share it multiple times.
Hello Russell, I have just watched your video on google meet and was wondering does it have the ability to hand your screen over to your student to complete a task as Zoom has please.

Thanks for the great efforts, Russell. What about breakout rooms and ability to record meetings?
No, not in the free tool. If you get the business account with Google, it has those features but not for free.
I do like the Video, very informative, best Ive seen yet, BUT what about double or triple screens??
I can't help as I don't use them and really hard to record using screen capture as you have to keep jumping screens, sorry
My friend calls with meet but I don’t know why my phone doesn’t ring it goes straight to voicemail

My NGO discarded meet some time ago because Zoom had way better video&audio quality. Maybe it has recently been improved?
I like Zoom too but as a free tool Google Meet is not bad.
Very useful and well presented, thank you.

Hello Russell, I have just watched your video on google meet and was wondering does it have the ability to hand your screen over to your student to complete a task as Zoom has please.
I honestly can't remember. I tend to be using Zoom more and more now. I think I am right in saying you can't. I think only the presenter can share.

In my Google Meet I don't have the option to change the background ... ? (Using Firefox, if that's anything to do with it.)

Is there a time limit on meeting. ( ie zoom free is only 45mins)
No time limit and up to 100 people.
@@ttvRussell thank you x
is it possible for participants to share their screen
Yes it is.
Can the participant show their screen
Gary, you know I honestly don't know...I tend to use Zoom these days. I will find out. Sorry I can't help.
