My favorite shark - so beautiful. Though I rather think that they occasionally bite to see what they can get away with. "You didn't need that toe, did you?"

In phi phi islands, thailand never any shark bit a person there.
Is it safe to be close to them if i just remain calm without any noise or splattering?

I think you only get bit if you don’t understand their body language and lack of experience in the ocean. Certain ways to interact with them and being calm and conscious about your surrounding near sharks. Sharks usually attack in feeding areas and higher chances if you’re out spear fishing or have a fish or an octopus with you.

Fun fact not all sharks have to keep moving to breathe it’s a common myth that all sharks do just because some do like the blacktip here
Some sharks must swim constantly in order to keep oxygen-rich water flowing over their gills, but others are able to pass water through their respiratory system by a pumping motion of their pharynx. This allows them to rest on the sea floor and still breathe.

0:44 that’s not true but I’ll let it slide. Just kidding it’s a popular rumor but not all sharks have to keep moving to breath, lemon sharks, white tips, black tips, And Caribbean reef sharks don’t need to move to breath.
