They call it the Whale Shark for a reason. Just as well its feeding habits are similar to whales as well, they're not much danger to humans at all. Pretty friendly to divers actually, they probably think we're funny-shaped remoras.
Shut up you nerd
0:55 i really love the little tag along
What a beautiful shark. I just love how big they are. They are amazing gentle giant filter feeders. Their size is elegant and their markings are gorgeous and lovely.
Spectacular. RIP bait fish, they got baited.
avarice seven ttt ....uuuu.
It’s a good thing That despite the whale shark being so big, it’s harmless to us.

The prerequisite for getting a joke is to have a sense of humor :(.
Just FYI, on BBC America they have Planet Earth episodes on reruns sometimes. Hope this helps!
Whale shark: “do you trust me, do you trust me?”
Fish: “yes”
Whale shark: “wrong choice”

@@ZCR2 have you even watched the whole video?
@@Animator907 they only eat plankton. Fish will be spit out.
Thank you very much for these videos BBC channel :)
I've heard at least three different stories from different family members about spotting Whale Sharks in South Australian waters. You'd think that'd be outside their range...
Amazing video!
MinecraftTopics, actually the blue whale isn't a fish. It is a mammal. So, the blue whale is not the biggest fish! And i have to admit that your question is really interesting.
those clips are cut from a 1 hour documantry called plant earth, i think with 10 episodes
Filipinos call this "Butanding" it's mixed "pating" (shark) and "balyena" (whale), it's an animal that's friendly but a little bit scared of humans
I'm an adult but i'm still curious with all the things in earth like a child. haha
Nature is just beautiful!
So much to see, so much to discover...
Yes, they are dangerous, but they're only trying to protect themselves from enemies, danger and from us.
What are you talking about?
Whale sharks are friendly though i met one before
They aren’t dangerous?? What are you on about
He's a bot or someone who believes stereotypes@@oxbunnehxo

His presentation and voice make the documentary more immense and live! What's his name?
That would be the legend Sir David Attenborough.
Jimmy Saville

Damn nature. You truly are, SCARY.

BBC - WHY ONLU 360p!?
Yoo its that warlord guy from one piece
Actually, no. Fish are not mammals. Aquatic mammals (seals, dolphins, whales) are considered a different category of animal from fish (sharks, tuna, anything with "fish" in it's name, like a swordfish, clownfish, lionfish, etc... though the insect: "silverfish" does not count as an actual fish.)
I mean you might say the blue whale IS the biggest fish.
It's a secondarily aquatic landfish
@@chickadeestevenson5440 as he wrote before: whales are NOT fish.
Love
Aw man , being a bait fish sucks. I guess they named them right! :-s
love
so majestic :D
8 persons are shark hunters
whoa
The age of 360p is back
It is what you make it. Imo you can joke about anything. That doesn't mean that I would actually eat shark fin soup.
👏 wow
🐳 🦈
I figured plankton can't be the only food for a whale shark, because it calorie expulsion seems to be more than a blue whale.
1080p please.
See the ds logo?
lol
LOL
dafugg i just see
DAMN!that a fucking HUGE shark
WHALE SHARK. WHUT.
look at those freeloaders on the whale shark's tale!
On land, we call them liberal voters 🤤
see i was confused cause i thought that a prerequisite for a joke is that it should be funny...
So, they eat small fish...

Why not give it a nice name?
Only if you're japanese. For that's literally what it translates.
You could make a lot of shark fin soup from that!
RELAX! It's a joke.
whaleshark consume cheese

oh she was on finding Dora
I want him for dinner
does this still count as a mammal
No. A way you can differentiate a marine mammal from a fish is the tale position. A marine mammal like a Whale and Dolphin’s tail faces horizontally, while fish tails face vertically
This has nothing to do with religion. Now please don't post these unless you are looking for a religious argument which spams the comment section and BBCEarth's inbox.
