This has got to be one of the most engrossing and intense videos I have watched on TH-cam yet! I never ever thought I'd cheer and root for a filefish the way I've done this evening... 🤣

It's like a clip from a horror movie - you know the fish are going to get eaten, but you can't help saying to the screen: "don't run, it attracts attention - oh, no! they spotted you! run faster!" Only in this case, swim faster!

Is it possible the sharks saw them because you were shining that huge underwater flood light on them?

Hey jonathan, i love your videos! do you have some advice about where to go diving? I've been snorkeling in the great barrier reef and, the atlantic ocean and mediterrenean. Last summer i went for my first dive in Mauritius, a very beautiful island. After this schoolyear i want to plan a diving vacation, and i'm thinking about the bahamas. What do you think is the best place for a not experienced diver? Also, i'm obsessed with sharks and i'm convinced that i will find them in the bahamas.

@wallaskate1, There is so much wonderful marine life in the Bahamas including Lemon, hammer Head, bull and reef sharks just to name a few. It's all just so visibly stunning that you really can't go wrong! Hope this was helpful!

It didn’t seem like the floodlight was interfering with the sharks moving about, I would think they would have been blinded by it!

Laura B They aren't using their eyes to hunt so I'm assuming that's why it doesn't bother them enough to stop their regular activities

2:30 what is that MASSIVE fish that comes outta nowhere and quickly disappears? also is it normal for this many sharks to hunt a reef with so few available fish? this looks like a terribly small feast for sharks

No Cocos Keeling in Australia is a different island. I'm talking about the one that belongs to Costa Rica in the eastern Pacific.
