Surely the whole point of a quick tips video is to educate we the people, as it were. So here's my quick tip for your next help videos: remember that you're talking to idiots so SLOW DOWN and give us more than a millisecond to let it sink in please!
Turning on the 'Apps-only mode' removes the ability to use Voice commands across the whole device/TV. Why the two are linked is beyond my understanding, but I'd rather have voice controls and stupid recommendations than no voice control and apps only. I found the best way to access my apps only is by pressing the apps button on the remote. That shows all apps on screen without having to toggle right across the screen only to have to hit the 'see all' button for the remaining apps to be displayed. Plus you get no recommendations using the 'apps' button on the remote.. Obviously you need to access Google TV if you want to access your account etc...

I can't find Tv button shortcut on my X80K.
I use the TV button on my remote.
