Got the Ace+ today. Some thoughts: 1.There is a g-sensor! It auto orients up down correctly, so you can also record interior without inversion. 2. app connection is very stable but downloading videos to device is very slow. 3.numberplate readability is just average.
1. Yes, excellent to be able to record cabin as and when needed. 2. Use card reader to download videos. Downloading via app is slow in most dashcams. 3. Budget cam, hence cannot get a 4K clarity in licence plates. But good for the money.
I came across this one in my search, and it seems to strike a good balance between affordability and performance. DDPAI has really improved their budget segment in recent years.. Mini Pro definitely an improvement over the normal Mini ver 👍
Rear camera is not compulsory, but recommended. What if when driving or when your can is parked next to the road and some other car hits your car from the back? In that case, the front camera is practically useless as it does not capture evidence of the incident. So while on road, we cannot predict from which direction the next accident/incident might happen. So it's always better to have recording from all sides.
You should have compaired night visibility with nexdigitron ace + as well, the positivity in ace + is gps support which helps you prove that your car was not doing illigal speed when any accident happens. It saves you from unnecessary challan that police poses stating over speed limits in many states. I think made in India product, type c charger , gps support and ok video quality makes ace + the best all-rounder in dashcam.
Mini pro looks improved but the DdPai has the worst app a dashcam can have, hope it has also improved. I am using Nexdigiron ace gps since jan and i am totally satisfied with it. It has decent day and night visibility and the app connectivity and operations are super smooth. Ace plus is slightly different as the gps module is not a part of cable now like in ace gps also the price is now less compared to what i paid. I didn't regret my purchase, thanks to one of your video which helped me buying Ace gps.

No it doesn't. And what you are referring to is the 'emergency video' option. You can disable that or alternatively you can reduce the volume of the speaker. Either way, you won't be irritated.
Hello! I just bought this dash cam today. The dash camera is a 70mai M300, the quality is excellent, the resolution is excellent. But I have one problem because it doesn't start automatically when I get into the car/turn on the ignition. I have to manually push the button to start working, the camera is plugged into the cigarette lighter in the car. Any help?
It should start automatically when car turns on. Check with another car if possible. If you face same problem, contact their service centre via WhatsApp

I owned both the M300 and Ddpai mini pro. I found the ddpai mini pro to be much more user friendly than the m300. The m300 didn't even last 1 year and the ddpai mini recently stopped working after 18 months. I wonder whats wrong .
Hello bro, I guess both use Lithium batteries. This type of battery does not have long term use. Use a capacitor based dashcam. We do get capacitor based battery in ACE but unfortunately it is not 2K.
Yes. This is a budget camera just like others. So video clarity also is also in the same range. Best video clarity can be obtained only in 4K cameras which are costlier.
In Ace plus , can it record continuously even after memory card got filled. Like is it have any option / feature like delete old video automatically without being formatting the card
Yes. Not just Ace Plus. ALL dashcams have that feature. Its called loop recording. As soon as the sdcard fills up, the oldest videos are deleted and newest ones will be recorded.

You can use mobile data in your smartphone while it is connected to your dashcam. But for this, you need to get into your smartphone's wifi settings, specifically 'intelligent wifi' settings and exclude the saved dashcam network as an exception.
Remove it gently using the user guide provided in the box. Slip it in between the windshield and gum tape and pull out the mount slowly. Stick it back as required.

Yes. It is the latest way of getting parking monitoring without having to hardwire the dashcam using fuse taps. This is a simple, easy, plug and play adapter which connects to the OBD 2 port of your car and gives you parking monitoring. Just plug the adapter and you are done. Its that simple. Seems to be the best out of the comparison. But I don't understand how it was better despite using 1-3x less bitrate than the other models?? Is it that efficient? Maybe 1296p vs 1080p? Although would have preferred 30fps instead of 25fps for that model to make it more consistent with the other 30fps cam.
Yes even that surprised me as to how it can be better even with lesser bitrate. Then realised that on paper specs and real world performance are two separate things. Cant take the on paper specs for their face value. Applies to all tech gadgets.

You did not watch carefully. I have specifically shown that when the DDPAI mini pro is rotated 180degrees, the camera automatically flips the video to proper orientation and the video is not upside down. This means you don't havev to correct the orientation again using any software later. I have specifically shown this and mentioned while doing it too.

Yes indeed you can. But you will need an extra 12v socket to power it up. The given wire may not be long enough to reach the front dashboard 12v socket. Also, it would require separate app installation and access than your front cam to alter settings or to view videos.

My friend. I've been following your content for a while but I'm still lost on which dash cam to buy. I want a dash cam priced around ₹15000-20000 which has the quality and guaranteed longevity like a Toyota car. 😅 Doesn't matter if it's 4K or 2K, because I noticed some of the 4K dash cams only function at 24fps which almost pointless. Yes you can. All dashcams record as long as they are turned on and there is micsd card inside. Connection to mobile is required only for the first time for the initial setup.
Hardwiring per se doesn't void warranty. But some manufacturers consider hardwiring as voiding the warranty. So its not the hardwiring but rather the policies of the manufacturer which determines if the warranty is void or not. So the solution is to remove hardwiring before giving car for service and install it back once you get your car back. Problem solved.

Anyone noticed that ddpai has always been better? Also, the ddpai has ~6000kbps bitrate which means smaller filesize and more video duration can be stored.

Bro after watching your comparison, I brought the Mini Pro. The quality of video is not even same a 2MP Nokia camera 10 years back. Its blur and quality is not acceptable. Now I understand all these low cost dashcam has this same problem more or less. I beleive this is due to use of cheap lense and image censor. Now a days a 5000 rupees phone camera shoot 100 times better video or photo than this. Then why they selling it for 4200. May be this will serve the purpose but not value for money.
Correct. Currently only 4K cameras with Starvis2 sensor give the best video quality and license plate readability. But the cost too is higher. You need to spend a minimum of ₹20K for it. These budget dashcams are not designed to read number plates. They just provide video footage of the events. Nothing more.
Yes I got your point. In my research I found there are no big players like Samsung, LG, Mi not in the game. Thats why this is ruled by some Chinese start-ups. Though Mi is an investor in DDPai. Once the big player enter to this business like smartwatch, earbuds etc. the price became low due to competition. Also buyers will get more better options.
Sir, DDPAI MINI 5 4K has 64 GB storage. It means it can only record 3 hours of 4k video. This is very disappointing. Also it doesn't have a sdcard so that the entire data can be taken to pc. Please recommend a 4k dashcam Sir.
Always buy dashcam with micsd card slot, especially 4K cameras. 70mai A800S can support 128GB memory cards. You can try that. The Viofo A129Pro supports 256GB memory card, but its costlier.

Yes. There was a technical issue with the ACE+ when I shot the video. Hence couldn't include its samples.

The M300 is an older model, also the video quality of M300 by itself is good, but in comparison to A3 Pro or Mini Pro, it is slightly lesser.

Currently there is no camera with ability to track and watch remotely. It requires a 4G sim kit which is not yet available in the Indian market.

Yes indeed you can. But you will need an extra 12v socket to power it up. The given wire may not be long enough to reach the front dashboard 12v socket. Also, it would require separate app installation and access than your front cam to alter settings or to view videos.

My friend. I've been following your content for a while but I'm still lost on which dash cam to buy. I want a dash cam priced around ₹15000-20000 which has the quality and guaranteed longevity like a Toyota car. 😅
Doesn't matter if it's 4K or 2K, because I noticed some of the 4K dash cams only function at 24fps which almost pointless. So please help me choose the best one. I've so far liked 70mai a500s, Redtiger f7n & DDPAI mini 5, but can't come to a unanimous decision.

Can I record without connecting to mobile app?
Yes you can. All dashcams record as long as they are turned on and there is micsd card inside. Connection to mobile is required only for the first time for the initial setup.

Will hardwiring void my car's warranty?
Hardwiring per se doesn't void warranty. But some manufacturers consider hardwiring as voiding the warranty. So its not the hardwiring but rather the policies of the manufacturer which determines if the warranty is void or not.
So the solution is to remove hardwiring before giving car for service and install it back once you get your car back. Problem solved.

all the three cameras have wide angle lens. video quality of wide angle lens is not good. number plate readability is possible only in close up shots. moreover at night number plate is not visible.

back camera usually has telephoto camera, so can be jugad solution for a perfect dashcam.
I haven't come across any dashcam with telephoto lens yet. Will update if I do.

Bro after watching your comparison, I brought the Mini Pro. The quality of video is not even same a 2MP Nokia camera 10 years back. Its blur and quality is not acceptable. Now I understand all these low cost dashcam has this same problem more or less. I beleive this is due to use of cheap lense and image censor. Now a days a 5000 rupees phone camera shoot 100 times better video or photo than this. Then why they selling it for 4200. May be this will serve the purpose but not value for money.
Correct. Currently only 4K cameras with Starvis2 sensor give the best video quality and license plate readability. But the cost too is higher. You need to spend a minimum of ₹20K for it. These budget dashcams are not designed to read number plates. They just provide video footage of the events. Nothing more.
Yes I got your point. In my research I found there are no big players like Samsung, LG, Mi not in the game. Thats why this is ruled by some Chinese start-ups. Though Mi is an investor in DDPai. Once the big player enter to this business like smartwatch, earbuds etc. the price became low due to competition. Also buyers will get more better options.

Sir, DDPAI MINI 5 4K has 64 GB storage. It means it can only record 3 hours of 4k video. This is very disappointing. Also it doesn't have a sdcard so that the entire data can be taken to pc. Please recommend a 4k dashcam Sir.
Always buy dashcam with micsd card slot, especially 4K cameras. 70mai A800S can support 128GB memory cards. You can try that. The Viofo A129Pro supports 256GB memory card, but its costlier.
