An important downside of the mola N3 is the shaky mount it comes with. That makes it a deal breaker.
Is there a locking mechanism (bolt) to lock it in place to keep it stabilize?

If you want a screen to control settings right on the dashcam, A400 is the choice. If having a screen os not your preference, Mola N3 will do the job.

Yes. CPL filter removes glare and reflections. Hence it will improve the video clarity.
Thanks, this is helpful. I think another important aspect is 70mai comes with lithion ion battery and ddpai comes with capacitor based battery which is a very important consideration in north india as capacitor can bear more heat. What's your opinion on this?
There is no history of dashcam with battery blowing up or burning out. No such reported incidents till date. So the battery/heat issue is a bit overhyped with no actual evidence to back it up. Also I personally have been using A500 from more than a year and haven't faced any issue. So it is safe to say, it wont matter if you buy dashcam with battery or capacitor, wont have any effect to its life in regards to heat.
One question, what quality was the video recorded on? As in 1080p or highest available quality? In terms of reliability what would you recommend? Li-ion action cams have heating issues, I have never used a dedicated dash cam yet hence asking. Would a super capacitor one prove more reliable?
Quality of video recorded was in highest resolution available for each camera.
Both Li-ion and super capacitor dashcams heat up while recording. And there isnt a major concern regarding the heat. You can use either of them without worry.

Which one would you suggest with n3 pro and a500 pro plus. Read that 70mai aspect ratios is 4:3.
Should I shell out more and go for Viofo a129 duo plus?
The A129Plus costs ₹21K. If you are ready to spend that much, why not but the 70mai A810 4K camera powered by the latest Starvis2 sensor. The N3 pro and A500 both have older generation sensor which don't perform well in low light conditions. You should watch these videos to know more about the 70mai A810.

great video. now 70mai pro Plus A500s is available on approx 7500 with card discounts.. is this good camera ? i am worried about battery (explosions/burning) in summer hot seasons
Issue of battery in summers and hot conditions is overhyped. Never heard a single complaint of battery explosion or burnout all these years. Also using A500 personally from past 2 years. No troubles faced. Go ahead with it without worries.

I observed the mola n3 videos are shaky in all your samples, is it because of the construction type (its removable and pluggable) whereas a400 and a500 are steady, and is there any dashcam which I can actually install on the dash than on the windshield?
Yes, the videos are shaky in my samples, but that is because the attachment was slightly off when I shot the video. I noticed it later but had given back the review unit back, hence couldn't shoot again. So decided to go with what I have. If the attachment is proper, there wont be any shake.
And nope, I haven't seen any cameras which can be attached on the dash. It would actually defeat the purpose, because at such a low angle, vehicle number plates, your car bonnet, proximity to nearest vehicle on front wont be caught in the video.

Do we really nead a rear camera???
Yes. In situations on the road if any incident/accident happens on the rear of the car, the front camera will be useless unless you turn around the car. Also if some vehicle rams you from behind, the rear camera will have recorded its video as proof which can be admitted in court.

Higher the resolution, better the video clarity. So in that principle, Z40 is better.

Always better to have 2 cameras instead of 1. But A500 has better video quality. You can go with A500 single now, and then later when your budget permits, get a second cam for the rear.

I was thinking to buy Mola N3 dual channel with GPS but, I read not so good reviews about its app. I read the is not good, user friendly and intuitive. Is it true? Hi. There isn't a huge difference between 70mai app and ddpai app. Although I can say that 70mai app is slightly better. But since we wont be using the app every single day, its not going to make a major difference. The only time you need the app is during first time setup.
Regarding copying videos, I recommend you remove the sdcard from dashcam and use a card reader to transfer videos to your pc/laptop. This is much easier and faster process compared to downloading via wifi hotspot of dashcam.

I wanted to see comparison between a500 and N3, I have ordered N3 considering super capasitor for safety reasons, I wanted to choose a500 due to adas system. But made decision to buy n3 with gps...

How is the Mobile app performance for ddpai mola n3?
Hi, my A400 videos are 208 MB for H265 and 98 MB for H264. Does that make any sense? Could you check if the same happens with your A400?
Edit.: now I realized that it can only records on 1080p when using H265.
H265 is a slightly better format compared to H264. Hence bigger file size.
@@traveltechyoutube It's better, but usually smaller for the same quality. I found the bit rate a little exaggerated for 1440p (27Mbps). It's probably higher than N3 and A500.

Hi, I shortlisted 70mai A400 and A500 dual channel. My primary requirement is dual channel dashcam to record any untoward incidents. I would have preferred to go with super capacitor model DDPAI Z40, but their poor app discouraged me from pursuing it.
If I don't care about GPS and ADAS, does it make sense to go with A400 instead of A500 to save around Rs 2K?
Since you are buying a dual channel dashcam, having GPS will be even more helpful. I recommend getting a cam with GPS. In that aspect A500S should serve you best.

With GPS dashcam records your exact speed along with your lattitude/longitude co-ordinates for every secind of your journey. So if in case you get into any legal trouble related to accidents/roadrage etc, you can use this GPS from dashcam as evidence in court to support your claim. (E.g: If the other party claims that you were overspeeding, you can show the car speed in gps data to prove you were not)
A500’s lithium battery is worrisome
Which one of it is safe? I mean if hardwired then will it drain my battery? And how is parking monitoring?
You get parking monitoring in all these models. And yes, if hardwired it will drain the battery in the long run. So the best solution is to use it with a dashcam battery pack. I have checked for heating. And all cameras do heat up with extended use, like driving for 1 hour or more, but the heat level is normal and not extreme. It's normal for the dashcameras to heat up a little bit. Nothing to be worried about.

Videos from mola n3 will come shaky due to it’s detachable mount. I am using it from last 4 months. Better to see other options.

It will work only when the vehicle starts. If the vehicle is off, then it wont have any power. So to connect to your mobile, the dashcam has to turned on(for which your car should be on).

Within the app, yes, in all dual channel dashcams you can select the view of either the front or the rear cam to be displayed in the app screen. Do note that there will be a 1-2 second lag un the video due to processing and the live stream wont be real time.

You can easily do it by removing the micsd card and plugging it into smartphone/pc using a card reader.

Only important thing is number plate readability . What are we going with color accuracy or high dynamic range and all. Nobody is going for a photoshoot with this
Not you maybe. But those who do travelogging, make videos on thier journeys etc will need good quality video footages for their edits. Each person has his/her own requirement. So best to purchase based on what you expect from your dashcam.

N3 Pro comes with Rear camera. N3 is front camera only.

Z40 is 4K resolution. All these in this video are 2.5K. resolution. So obviously Z40 is better.
