Jason Sheer: Clemson & FSU 18 months to the Big XII. That is a long time between now and 2026. Lots can happen. Anything is pure speculation

Greg: The very word “Fans” comes from fanatics. People who are hard core fans of a school/team etc are going to believe whatever they want. Logical or not. Jason Sheer is not changing many people’s minds:,Especially because the fate of Clemson & FSU is a belief and opinion, very little is factual ( except possibly the date) to back it up.

If Clemson and FSU are not the first choice, why are they leading the charge to get out? Why isn’t UNC and UVA suing to get out. Clemson should stop their lawsuit and let FSU go it alone.

This’s pure posturing & theater by all the players.
    Think about the situation:
Do you really think the SEC or the Big10 are not interested in the biggest 2 media properties after Notre Dame-who is presently unavailable ???
FSU & Clemson are both better media properties presently than UNC. And UNC is nothing by itself - it needs NCSt in tandem. Those 4 are the 4 best media properties out there, after Notre Dame.
    Period. The End.
This is all theatre. It’s posturing for bigger payouts, cheaper buyouts.

That would take B1G beyond 20 members. Wasn’t there some language in the contract regarding Fox’s contractual terms on membership numbers? BIG (FOX) has no access to these acc teams until 2036 or espn doesnt renew in next year, which they will because the acc is cheap and makes money.
Next problem is why would espn or even fox pay fsu or any acc team $65-70m when they can pay them less in the XII splitting the cost. Remember the BIG doesnt want to get into the southeast, FOX does. And they can do that thru XII. Just game theory the rest...its easy.
