Dr. Nolan uses Jung's concept of the collective unconscious and archetypes which pleasantly surprised me! His personal UFO experience helped shape his philosophy in life and gave our worlds one of the top scientists. He discusses and describes why there is the possibility of life beyond Earth. He also shares why Neil deGrasse Tyson is just not the best option to go to for learning about this topic. Dr. Nolan helped found the Sol Foundation which generates ideas and expands on creative ways of solving problems instead of merely going with the scientific and scholarly consensus. Ideas ought not to be quashed, but shared, discussed, and enjoyed.
Dr. Nolan shares why peer review process is in trouble and the dangers this brings to our entire society. The big paradigm shift we must prepare for is our preparation for potential encounters with non-human intelligence of NHI. Our future is tied to our choices we make right now. We need to garner humility and recognize we can go extinct, and aggression and war is just stupid. Humanity needs to wake up.

My brother was abducted from a causeway in Tampa Bay Florida in the early 1970's. He's no flake. He went on to work in R&D for Intel, write code for interactive educational software and has his pilots license. Our parents had extraordinary abilities and careers. From my perspective and experiences, I don't need to wait for an external source to do a "disclosure" to validate what is blatantly obvious.

I also am not a fan of Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Not only because even though he's educated, he has more hubris than smarts, but also because he previously tried to force a number of his female coworkers to have relations with him even though they didn't want to have anything to do with it, and Hollywood seems to forget that and just slobbers all over him anyhow.

I like the response to the interview format. It allows people more time to digest a particular concept. I agree that the imagination is the foundation to expanding knowledge, science and technology. Dr. Nolan is one of those rare scientists who recognizes the need to include all possibilities, to eliminate biases as best we can. This interview really stimulated me to respond to your response. Here goes.
All aspects of human life on the planet has been evolving, including science, religion, morality and social development. Most Christians tend to think of religion as a means for personal salvation, but there is also the civilizing aspect. The past six thousand or more years has seen us increase the size of our social groups. We went from clans, to tribes, to city-states, to nations. Each stage of this progression happened because it provided advantages for survival and flourishing. Some form of spiritual or social glue was needed to unite people, typically a mythology based on common religious belief. An example is Moses providing that uniting mythology for the Hebrew tribes. Jesus provided the teachings and mythology for uniting people at the city-state level, and Muhammed provided teachings and a mythology for the Islamic nation. The same can be found in India with Krishna and Buddha. A lesser known "Prophet" was Deganawida who was able to unite the warring tribes into the Iroquois Confederation with a separation of powers. That's where our Founding Fathers learned about this concept of government where power is separated between three branches of government. The challenge we have today is to provide a planetary mythology based on a universal concept of religion.......if we really want to live in peace on our only planet. If we today had official contact with people from other planets, it would be embarrassing to confess to these more advanced folks that the human race just can't agree on the basics of religion.
Nolan's idea that we may be too dangerous to be allowed access to other solar systems is just the way we are...right now. But I'm a believer that we will evolve, will become more spiritually attuned, will become more civilized and will become united as a human race. Contact with folks from other planets, or even the knowledge that these folks are out there, will be a powerful spiritual and intellectual force for uniting us. There may be a lot of disorder and confusion for awhile, but we'll gradually get used to the new reality we'll be living in. Religions will evolve to the new reality, or they'll disappear. Any surviving religion will need to accept that folks from other planets don't need our form of religion. Each planet probably has its own history and form of religion suited to its process of maturing as spiritual beings. Any true religion should be eager to compare notes with folks from other planets in order to expand our understanding of that mysterious Source of everything.

@@TheBackyardProfessor If you try to be everything to everybody, you'll lose your mind! Since we're all unique, every soul sees the Bible, or reality, with a unique view IMO, and we all can expand our own understanding when we ponder the thoughts of others with an open mind. I really enjoy expanding my mind, and there seems to be more and more TH-cam programs with the brightest of the bright being interviewed with mind-blowing new perspectives on consciousness, the universe, the Bible, religion in general, etc., etc. I can remember when my kids were still young and in school how happy and proud I was to buy a set of Encyclopedia Britannica so that they would have all the knowledge available to learn from. Hmm, last post, I'm going to subscribe sir. About the 50 minute mark you discuss your journey with religious faith and uncertainty. You hit the bulls eye for me with this. I'm from the UK which is a lot more secular that the US. I became an atheist about the age of 12. I did this by weighing the faith I had been taught by the local Methodist church against living with uncertainty. I discarded faith for uncertainty at that age, I find Prof. Nolan's thought processes natural to me in this regard. Be assured I don't claim to have anywhere near his intellect, I'm just an average Joe.

Imagine a far off intelligence so advanced that they've lost touch of what the process caused that. Now look at us over the last 100 years. Who better to study than us to understand what that process. From the steam engine to the edge of A.I in a matter of decades. What eyes wouldn't be on us particularly right now. How interesting it is once we developed atomic science the sightings of UAP have increased by many orders of magnitude.

Hmmm. I find his theory interesting. I came across a theory years ago discussing the lack of understanding of where RH- blood came from. It seems that people with RH- blood types often have colder temps, higher immunity to cancer types, and even less illnesses overall. The theory was that it could have been another life form.
Also, there is a gentleman on YT who explores ruins in a India and discusses the stories there too. The architecture in these areas is amazing and in some legends it depicts a woman who grew twins in an artificial womb. I don’t remember the details but I found it incredibly interesting that these things were not only illustrated on the walls, but also that the peoples in that area still practice the technique of saving the umbilical cord blood in a small vial tied to their waists. They use it when they’ve been bitten by snakes, or when they’ve received a grace wound. As we now know through science, saving this umbilical cord blood can often save an individual in the future if they’ve developed grace injuries. How would they have known this just on a whim?
Many mysteries could be delved into. I know a million more weird facts but these seem relevant here.
Edit: To add to all that, the Bible often discusses wisdom, understanding, and knowledge.
Knowledge being learning truths, understanding being comprehension of those truths, and wisdom knowing how and when to apply that information of truths.
There is another UAP experience I ran across years ago of a person receiving an email discussing the way timelines work. It supposedly entailed that all timelines are parallel but once someone shifts into another timeline there is no way back into the original timeline.

Lovely to hear you read a lot of SF when younger. One of my favourites in the UK was James White (not the religious one,) who wrote books about a hospital in space, with doctors of every kind of alien consultants and doctors. So many strange types I think he's made me ready to meet some. They can't be any stranger than some of our deep sea creatures.

Thank you for posting this I'm certainly enjoying your take on the possible changes in progress. I have too much to say but will keep it brief if I can. There is a 'rumour' circulating right now that a signal recorded by the Breakthrough Listen Project, designated BLC1 is being re-evaluated as a suspected techno-signature given recent advancements in signal amplification. With Prof Nolan's remarks about species proliferation on a galactic scale in mind, with our previous assumptions about the instances of present civilizations in the galaxy also in mind ie: rare and widely dispersed, it gives me pause for thought that this possible techno signature, if confirmed, originates, get this....from a body orbiting Proxima Centauri. That's the nearest star to us at 4.25 light years. What does that imply, using probability to estimate the number of our neighbours. Be assured I didn't sleep much last night when I thought about this. P.S. He's right about Tyson.

I really like the von neumann probe theory he was hinting at. The ufo ship in the Atlantic that the 4chan whistleblower was talking about is probably the AI system that delivered us here and seeded us across the planet. The AI ships (and our) creators probably never came here often until we split the atom.
The Grey's are their avatars bc it might be even hard for them to travel across the stars.
And they are probably pissed at the incompetence of our world governments.

Simply giving the warmongering naked apes a how to manipulate spacetime for dummies book doesn't seem like a good idea if I was an advanced non-human intelligence. It would be like dropping an arsenal of weapons in the chimpanzee enclosure at the local zoo and expecting a good outcome. To quote the movie contact "small steps".

Kerry, you should investigate Steven Greer's works. He says humans do have something to offer NHI - our creativity, our art, our emotions, especially empathy, and our DNA. Steven also has much more info on interacting with NHI and the different types of NHI who are now becoming more known to modern humans.

    • @ojidowu
      @ojidowu 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

@luannstubbs4237 The problem with Greer is his outlandish claims without substantive backing. He had a run-in with Nolan regarding the Atakama Skeleton. The Atakama Skelton was believed to be an alien corpse. Nolan became involved by analysing a sample of the bone for DNA. Greer's problem started when Nolan's conclusion was that the Skeleton was a human's abortus with multi-genetic rare mutations. He accused Nolan of a "cover-up". Science should not be approached with preconceived conclusion if an experiment can clarify things. I used to listen to Greer initially. Besides the Atakama Skeleton, most of his claims are simply out of tune with the reality on ground. So, unless a person is vastly informed, they will go on a limb believing Greer.

    • @luannstubbs4237

@ojidowu Like many of the people involved in this issue, including Nolan and Tyson, Greer has quite the ego. I'm not convinced either way about the Anaconda mummy.
However, Greer was argueably the first to push for Disclosure. He also has enormous amounts of data, pictures, interviews, and documenteries that he gives freely to the public. He covered almost all aspects of the issue years ago that current "whistleblowers" are now making popular. I think he doesn't get enough credit for the work he did/does.

And if so, we have betelgeuse about to be witnessed soon.. are we in trouble from a reasonably close object? Would there be an unexpected rise in temperatures from such an event?

Interesting, I would have liked to have heard fewer interruptions of this interview. It is like listening to two conversations at opposite ends of a table while sitting in the middle. I wanted to hear their thoughts completed. I know your impressed, you mentioned that over and over. Maybe It is important to understand what our UAP visitor's agenda is. Is it benevolent, in our interests and have they matured to the point of not wanting to harm us? With all of our horible behavior, systemically, institutionaly, colonially, and by individual acts of world leaders, there is still a great deal of good among us. It is mixed, but we have a personal resposibility as well as an impulse to do good. We have, for a very long time, had terrible mirrors of distortion held up showing us that we are scum. How can we trust in the best of ourselves to act responsibly with so much distortion? I am not disregarding the peril or the scale of the trouble we are in, or our apparent lack of will to change things for the better. Collectively we have a choice. Individually we still have a choice to do better every day. I know many, many inspiring people who are serving the good, and are not being giving the credit they deserve. It annoys me to hear of everyone being condemned together including the family dog. We must remember, though, how unevenly the power to change things is distributed. In spite of this, we are still working, and evolving in our individual spheres of influence and doing our best. Love and compassion helps.

Experiencer here from the age of six. I call ET's - Cosmic Cousins, as we all came out of the big bang (or what happened to put us all here) I understand that there most probably are an infinite number of universes to keep us on our toes (like looking into a mirror with a mirror behind you, so we get an infinite reflection, and ultimate puzzle) I think of God as a type of all knowing/ultimate learned Chief Scientist that most probably fused with AI or at least was modified in some way. But there again, i am thinking like a Human, and other species have clearly evolved out there in the depths of space, in different ways to Humans. When we are talking the levels of technology that say the Tic Tac UFO demonstrates, it has been calculated that it is somehow using the energy output of Jupiter to do this. Obviously that type of technology could be weaponized to produce something that could destroy Earth, but it is being held in the hands of those who are using it for other purposes and so trusted with this immense power to keep things rational, and thus keeping light years ahead of us here on Planet War.
When challeged, the Tic Tac somehow read an Aircraft Carriers computer in a split second, and appeared some 60 miles away in an instant at Navy Cmdr. David Fravor''s new rendezvous coordinates and of course bolsters the argument that there is another intelligence here on Earth also, that is older than us, and way way out in front in the technolgy stakes, using magic wand technology not to commit mass death and destruction as it stands, but using technology and craft that have been disigned with advanced unlocked deep secrets of the Universe, including time, to travel as it pleases. The Tic Tac UFO was communicating with a large commercial airliner sized object just below the waves. There has been talk of other intelligences coming to earth to mine rare Earth minerals not found back on their home planet and solar system. Perhaps there is a Solar System to Solar System trade deal invloving the other intelligence here on Earth, with others out there in Space, and Humans are not even considered in this process, we are just being monitored to make sure we don't blow ourselves, and the Planet, to kingdom come.

Makes every TV scientist from Sagan to Tyson seem silly with their short sighted yapping. LOL, At 67 I’ve been following this subject since about 1968. All this time waiting for the World to catch up to what I somehow intuitively understood. I’m still waiting for some type of wide discussion. Too bad people are so slow to understand what is completely clear given all the evidence. It’s like they’ve been poking humans in the eye for probably all of human history.

My research dovetails into Prof Nolan's. And it will be weird to most people, I must say. It says that what is weird is us, present-day, earth-dwelling humans and not the universe out there. Let me contextualize it. Imagine the whole of humanity leaving this planet for whatever reason and leaving behind every single person with severe cognitive impairment such as Senile Dementia (Alzheimer's Disease). Over tens of thousands of years, many of the left behind will die off, and many will also survive. Imagine the survivor's health slowly reversing throughout this long period and many generations, one here, a few over there. If they are able to keep tract of their history, what will it be like? Tens of thousands of years down the line, will the descendants of the "Left Behind" (whose "cognitive impairment" is still slowly reversing, thus becoming more aware and intelligent) recognise, when they come across the descendants of those who "Left Earth", that we both have a common ancestry? Bear in mind that the descendants of those who "left earth" earlier had developed along their own peculiar way. As the descendants of those left behind encounter the descendants of those who earlier left, will the two look the same? Will those on earth think those off earth "aliens'? How will the technology of those who left earth earlier and now passing by look to those left on earth and still trapped on it? I can go on and on. Think about it for a moment. Earth-dwelling, present-day humans are the weird ones. Something happened to us a long time ago. We "devolved in functional capabilities" compared to the human group with which we share common ancestry. They skipped earth. Present-day, earth-dwelling humans are survivors of the ones left behind. Through a research work I stumbled across, I was able to work out the capabilities of those humans before us. It is near-unfathomable. In the last century or so, we have been slowly waking up and getting off Rock Bottom. As science gets more robust, things will be getting clearer. Those UFOs and so called aliens are descedants of earlier humans who left earth/this universe. Now, some Physicists are saying that "space-time is not fundamental", that it projects from something else. One such group is led by Prof Nima Arkani-Hamed of the Institute of Advance Studies, Princeton. Anyone can check out their research works. Prof Donald D Hoffman, Neurocognitive Science, University of California, Irvin works with this group in his own theory that proposes that "Consciousness" is the thing that is "fundamental" and from which "space-time" projects. We did not create anything; we are just becoming aware of what nature really is all along. Our "consciousness" has been slowly waking up in the last century, some more than the other.
