German Candy Taste Test Part 1

In this episode, Callie and I try out a box of German candy sent to us by our good friends, Matthew and Suzie Newell! This was a TON of fun!

Paprika...don't you know the spice? You might also know it as Bell Pepper. It's the most popular flavour for chips in Germany by a long shot. The ones you got were "mild".
Leibniz (yes you butchered the name) is a very classic butter cookie. The variation with chocolate is a modern variation.
Pick-ups are inspired by them. You can get them in all possible variations (white chocolate, caramel aso).
Duplo is made by Ferroro, which is actually an Italian company, but the kinder-products and Duplo were made by the German subsidiary specifically for the German market. And yes, they are awesome! Get used to Hazelnut, btw, we Germans love out Hazelnut just as much as you like your Peanuts...we prefer peanut taste in salty snacks.
Prinzenrolle is another classic sweet. When I was a child, we used to get them for School trips. They taste great with a glas of milk. And yes, our sweets aren't as sweet as the stuff in the US.

I actually appreciate how it's not as sweet. It's nice to not be pounded over the head with sweet! It's really cool to hear from someone "in the know!" Oh, and sorry about the name butchering! LOL!
