- I’m back to my Tarot Card Series! I’m so excited to be sharing this creation, turning a Cleo de Nile Monster High Doll into a Royal Lady, inspired by the Harvest.

You're the only doll artist I know who pays such attention to detail when painting skin and isn't afraid to go in a more realistic direction with it. I just adore the freckles on her face but especially the little wrinkles you added to her fingers (which I've never seen anyone else do before!); I really think the realistic "imperfections" on human skin are what makes someone truly beautiful, as opposed to a flawless, uncannily airbrushed instagram model. This is why you're my favourite doll youtuber right now. I can't wait to see what you create next!

the empress is probably one of my favourite tarot cards, thematically she represents becoming adaptable and learning to embrace new opportunities or birthing your own opportunities. one tarot card i would love to see you make is the world card. it would be excellent to see what kind of concept you come up with for that one.

I've been watching etellan for a while and discovered you through her channel. I gave her props for her laid back, almost ASMR-esque film making style, and I love that yours is the same. I have a hard time with fast motion, and as yours generally have minimal fast motion I'm able to watch them. \o/ Your videos are quite soothing. I'm stunned by the way you made the hair -- I have no idea how long it took but the result is absolutely amazing. The doll herself is beautiful and I love the way the watercolours are more subtle than acrylic. This is the first video of yours that I've seen but it certainly won't be the last. Awesome work!

Cleo is such a great base doll for this. Yaaaasss love me a red headed doll. Hand pulling the hair is such a long process but it is so worth it to have your very own custom hair colour. The eye colour is so lovely, my son's eye colour is very similar to that and he is a red head too, both my kids are but my daughter has hazel eyes which are really pretty too. Love your red nails! Mine are currently a wine colour which black holo accent nails :) The fur is such a great detail because as an Empress she would for sure have furs. I might have to use the idea of rhinestones glued to the dolls ear, I have heaps of crystals left over from my diamond paintings so it would be fun to give my daughter's dolls some earrings

Exquisite work! This heavily reminds me of Dior's take on their history with taking inspiration from tarot cards. Really impressive~ 😍
I absolutely love how you approached this doll dude! :D She looks both very natural and beautiful in a way that imo truly embodies The Empress. I loved that you gave her such vibrant red hair (and freckles!) but also created contrast with some cooler tones in the fabric of her dress. The circlet was also completely phenomenal and is one of my favorite visuals in historical fashion, so that was really exciting to see. :D From how you spoke and approached the design it really came across that you have strong understanding of the card too, as was the case with The Devil.
In terms of the next doll, of course I'll be ecstatic with whatever you pick because you're kicking ass with these. For what I'm personally curious about, probably The Magician, The Hermit, or The Hanged Man. Magician you could potentially go super opulent in a fun way and there's a lot of cool symbolism tying to creation (similar with High Priestess), Hermit there's often a more worn/tattered visual associated that could be powerful and interesting in its own right depending on how you choose to take it. Hanged Man I find to be a really moving and often redemptive card that can come with tons of emotion/catharsis, but it's also one where the position is usually more striking than the figure itself. So whether you decide to emphasize the pose or not, and how you choose to interpret the themes/tones in design is something I'm definitely curious about!

On the Hanged Man, if you decided not to I wouldn't blame you since the figure doesn't have as much going on visually outside pose--but I'm also really glad the chatter is giving you some ideas! I don't know if this might help, but to me the spirit of it is someone who has been struggling for control of their life even when it's painful, even when it's destructive, even when it drives them to rock bottom and there's incredible fear of sunk cost fallacy... then giving in to vulnerability, change, and the sacrifice of that previous mindset. It could apply to a lot of things, whether a villain in the more narrative sense abandoning that role or someone fighting against mental illness, or it could be something more mundane like realizing you've limited yourself to a definition that can't possibly encompass you. A job, a relationship, a habit, a hobby. List goes on. But it's kind of allowing for uncertainty and change and trusting that things will be okay.
