Airbrushing a Sunset Jerkbait - Lure Trade with FishMath - Color Blending Techniques from Last Video.
In this video I'm using some simple blending techniques from the last video. This is a lure trade that I did with Tom from FishMath.net go check out his awesome app for trolling baits.
For the video I used US Art Supply Bright Yellow Opaque, Apple Barrel Sunbeam Yellow and Createx Fluorescent Orange. Detail Smoke Black was used to Highlight the Fins.

Check out my Custom Lure Painting Log Book
If you are new to lure painting this is probably one of the best tools you can have. When I first started painting fishing lures I was so excited that I jumped in and started painting lure blanks without even thinking I may have to reproduce that lure again. A year later I wished I had this log book back then, because after painting a couple hundred lures sometimes remembering the colors I used, or where I even ordered the blank from became a problem.

“best” color for walleye, like most other fish depends on the water color and clarity. There are various lakes that I fish in Canada. You are correct that in heavily tannin stained water red or green/chartreuse seem to work well. The clearer the water the more I shift towards natural colors. I know one guy that swears pink is hands down the best color for the lakes he fishes. We run Flicker Shad at about 7’ , 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 mph usually. We’ve caught over a hundred in a few hours in the right conditions
