Ushijima telling them that he'll defeat them next time after his last highschool game is him basically saying "you better not quit after highschool so we can play again" What an amazing saison and it's so much fun watching you react to it teddy, keep it going
@You alright boi ? friendly match? i guess they can do friendlies but what's exciting abt that xd. he meant in a tournament or a league where they have something important to lose imo
@@Lari_A it’s cool that Atsumu basically did the same thing with Hinata with the “I’ll be setting for you one day.” I love how these top level players just keep acknowledging that Hinata will end up on their level one day
This scene is cut from the reaction video, but when the coach says "get on the bus", he acknowledges the effort of the team. As earlier on he said that if they didn't fight well they'd have to run back to school. Also, when Tendou said "Farewell, my paradise", that hits me. He loves volleyball, but decides to quit. Shiratorizawa might be the only place where his playstyle is accepted, since other members are no less than of a weirdo than him. Bonus point for his surname itself (天童) means "cherub", and have the same reading with the word "paradise".
I always feel sad for Tendou, he was bullied and treated different, but in Shiratorizawa he was special, he could play the way he wanted and he was recognized and admired for it. The only place where he felt "Monster" as a compliment.

Ushijima telling hinata and kageyama “ ill defeat u next time” is the ultimate form of respect. Hes bascially guaranteed to go pro once he graduates given that he’s already in the U19 team. Him waiting for a rematch with the duo in the pro league just means he belevies that they have the skill and talent to go there too.
Yeahhhh thank youu. It will be how the tokyo teams qualify for the nationals. The tokyo prefecture will get 2 slots meaning 2 teams will go to nationals from the tokyo prefecture. And because tokyo is the spring tournament host, the get an additional 1 more school to get qualify for the nationals as "tokyo host representative. There will be 3 schools from tokyo that get to go to the nationals.
Time cry all over the place!! So, a note about something no much people notice in the hype of the moment. When Tendou says "Farewell my paradise" he refers to it literally, as he doesn't see himself playing in another team where people won't see him strangely or bully him as in his childhood, that's why he tells Ushijima he will quit playing volleyball after graduation. It's really sad because Tendou was just as dangerous as Ushijima in his middle blocker position, and he hadn't a real chance to develop his skills before entering Shiratorizawa because no one would play with him. Oh, and also, the National Youth Training Camp is literally a Training Camp for those potential National players (basically, represent Japan all over the world)
yes that is so sad, Tendou would have been an excellent middle blocker but it is very sad that no one wants to play with him just because he acts weird, if he had continued I think he would have gone far since his blocks are excellent, I remember sobbing in that part, my friend thought I was sobbing for the third years but I was crying for Tendou :c
Hi teddy, great video as usual, there's a extra scene called "Shiratorizawa ending cut" that i recommend you to watch, also before S4, there's an OVA called "Land vs Air" that it's important, about S4, the studio is different, and the quality of the animation is nowhere as good as the previous seasons, and you will notice that, however the story it's still amazing as usual, and the new characters are even more interesting, i'm just saying this because S4 had a lot of negative reviews when it came out due to the animation, but i'm sure that won't be a problem to you. Also, before jumping into S4, you must remember that now Bokuto has a complete victory over Ushijima
Season 4 is still Production IG just that the director changed and the artstyle was made to look more like the manga. Only a few epidodes were outsourced. And the negative comments are just ppl that were spoiled by the previous seasons honestly. Yes, the are some dips in animation here and there , but nowhere near as bad as ppl made it out to be. Ppl also forget this season came out in full pandemic.
The change in art style was a concerted effort to closer march the manga's character design. Despite some obvious flaws in some of the episodes of s4 (you can thank COVID , tight schedules and the lottery that is studio outscourcing for that), some of the facial animation work is as good as, if not better than earlier seasons. The refreshed art style made the characters a lot more expressive. The animation director of season 4, if I remember correctly had done some work on Run With The Wind previously...which is a must watch for anyone who enjoyed Haikyuu.
@@jaypierre8992 Those are my shows but no... with those you get really good moments that have a long buildup. Haikyu... you are worn out after the stuff they put you thru... The buildup is not like the filler episodes on other shows.

13:40 That moment with Wakatoshi tells them he will defeat them next time…. He’s a senior in High School. This is his last match. The only way he’ll play them again is if they’re good enough to keep playing in college. That was a challenge, yes. But also and admission that they’re both good enough to keep playing after High School.
In Japan the rate of students proceeding to college after high school is just around half. Athletes esp those in team sports tend to go pro right after graduating hs (ex: a lot of the players that gained attention at last year's irl spring nationals are in pro teams now). It's also hinted that Ushijima isn't that sharp in other things not related to volleyball, so it's very unlikely for him to go to college. Japanese colleges have rlly high standards, and while Ushijima could get in with a sports scholarship, he prbly won't make it 4 yrs just with that.
Not necessarily college, i don't know how the japanese system works, but in a lot of countries (outside of USA) you can just straight up join a pro team, you don't need college for that. And since Wakatoshi is already a U19 japanese national player it means he is one of the best youngsters so he probably already has a bunch of offers from pro teams.
Hey teddy! Before you start the next season, there are two OVAs to watch, which show the matches of Nekoma and Fukuroudani to go to the Nationals too, they are called Rikuu vs Kuu and Boru no Michi :D
The pressure that Ushiwaka creates with how powerful he is , is so well portrayed. It took one whole episode to show that one point but you won't feel that it is stretched. I was always on edge when I started this season with every episode. I feel so happy for the 3rd years, their wait and hardwork really paid off.
This episode is one of my favorites. If the anime would have ended here I think we would have been fine. Not only we get that EPIC 360 that will never get old. We get Karasuno at the top, after suffering so much at the ending of S1 and it feels SOOOO REWARDING, but also even then, this anime takes the time to show us Shiratorizawa crying. Because we do care about them as well now. Nothing but praises to this episode.
Kageyama is not leaving the team, but he wont practice with the team for a week or more to go to the national training camp with other students (Basically the students from all around Japan with potential to represent the national team, like Ushiwaka)
When Tendo Says"farewell my paradise" is referring to the fact his Volleyball career is ended and that Shiratorizawa was the only place where he could play volleyball in the way he liked. So it was his "paradise".
There has on TH-cam an extra scene from the movie of season 3 that ushiwaka get the last game with the New formation of the team. This is amazing! Can you find like: season 3 extra scene shiratorizawa Or somethink like that
Explanation: Kageyama got invited to national youth team training camp, like Ushijima did. Japan calls talented under 18s from all over the country in the winter for training and scouting every year.
It's the most immersive, the best facial expressions, the animations are as if they're playing the game right in front of your eyes!An animation that will make you cry with happinessThere is no anime that makes me cry with happiness.

Congratulations on the sponsor teddy and i hope u check haikyu all over again, on your own time if thats what u want to do, you will notice more details and stuff as u rewatch them again. I am on over 10th time of rewatching but still find something new every now and then
The music in Haikyu, every single time! How can we not appreciate such a masterpiece of background score, am I right? The way Haikyu’s music makes you feel strangled at the last scene before Hinata was about to do the spike, and then suddenly the music shifts to a tone that makes you feel freedom. How can music make you feel unable to breathe, and then liberated in a matter of seconds?! HOW?! I always cry when I get to breathe again, when the crows spread their wings. Also underrated Haikyu metaphorical visuals in between games. Everything about Haikyu is amazing. The writing, the music, the humor, the emotions, the character development. EVERYTHING! ☺️
Similar to the movie for the match with Aoba Johsai there's an extra few minutes for Shiratorizawa in E2 - Haikyu!! The Movie: Battle of Concepts after the end credits you should definitely check out. Then the Land vs. Air and Path of the Ball OAV's before season 4.

Hey Teddy, if you watch the Movie: Battle of Concepts which does the same thing with the Seijou match, you get some extra scenes from shiratorizawa after their defeat, its worth a watch. Also the Nekoma OVAs are amazing. Also the training camp mean that the Japan picked kageyama to train with some of the best players in High School who might represent japan in international matches, like Ushijima was (hinata voice: JAPAN!)
Kageyama got invited to a training camp where only the best young players in the country get to go. He will come back to Karasuno, he will just be training with elite players for a while
7:36 - 7:41 I love how in that final decisive moment, all of Shiratorizawa is worried about stopping Hinata the way that Karasuno had been focused on stopping Ushiwaka. Coach Washijo's team, one built on height and power, are deathly afraid of the little guy that they had been looking down on the whole game. Because despite their posturing about how "sucky" he was, they knew... They knew he was Karasuno's ultimate weapon. The Little Giant!
do you see, how a good anime makes it like "us" vs "them" with their story telling? but haikyuu takes it to another level. with all the back stories even though "us" wins, you still feel bad for "them". because you know "them" worked hard(practice, training, sacrifice) as much as "us" and you want to appreciate everyone's hard work.
From that smirk smile of Shiratorizawa's coach, you can feel that, deep down, he was rooting for Hinata to win. Since they were both small guys, but Hinata did what he idn't
The National Youth camp is for aspiring young volleyball players, being trained and potentially scouted for future Olympics! Hence the National part, they keep an eye on amazing players for when they come of age. Kageyama is so young it's a shock, but exciting.
Karasuno definitely had tons of plot armor to get this win but I’m still glad they won, even though I was rooting for both teams like always. And man they might have won but they just couldn’t stop Ushijima. Can’t wait for your reaction to season 4!

Kageyama has been the best player compared to anyone up until now, apart from oikawa, i feel like he is a better overall player than ushijima, he doesnt miss his jump serve, can spike both line and cross, is a blocker pretty much on tsukishimas level, and is the most capable setter yet so it is pretty mad how good he is

do you see, how a good anime makes it like "us" vs "them" with their story telling? but haikyuu takes it to another level. with all the back stories even though "us" wins, you still feel bad for "them". because you know "them" worked hard(practice, training, sacrifice) as much as "us" and you want to appreciate everyone's hard work.
i feel bad that haikyuu will end on this channel. i really like these vids
From that smirk smile of Shiratorizawa's coach, you can feel that, deep down, he was rooting for Hinata to win. Since they were both small guys, but Hinata did what he idn't
okay sponsorship!!! we love to see it
The National Youth camp is for aspiring young volleyball players, being trained and potentially scouted for future Olympics!
The youth camp doesnt mean kageyama is leaving hes just been casted as an future national player
what about that extra scene from shiratorizawa?
Still can’t believe we’re going to nationals. 😭📣
What a great fkn ep man haikyuu really is goated fr
Also takeda was all of us watching this ep ahhahahahahhahahia
Tokyo treat really be sponsoring haikyuu reactions just like coach donny from elevate yourself lmao
I always skip that part in his video. No one wants to see him stuffing his face.
@@locomojoboy2 that's a fair point and I dont really like him much since season 4 cause he always nitpick a lot of things and he is more in animation now more than the vball itsef which is annoying
@@hourbit7385 I actually hate season 4 illustrations/animations so I like hearing him call that trash out.
@@locomojoboy2 some of his commentary about it is fair but usually its just uncalled for imo. Most people watch him for his volleyball input rather than the animation itself.
@@hourbit7385 yeah, what’s worse now is that in his latest reaction he is literally stuffing his face DURING the reaction. This just how his professionalism has fallen since the beginning.
National Youth training means he is a candidate they are considering to put on the national team in the future.
This is so precious ;-;-;-; I love watching reactions like these ;-;-; uhuu
This episode gives me chills every time
In the end of the episode Kageyama was chosen to train with the U-20 Japanese team
omg i would love to buy those boxes if only 1 dollar wasn't 15 liras in my country:(( one box is 480 tl and as a student, it is a really big deal of money for me...
Don’t forget the ova teddy!
Season 4 is amazing!! Cannot wait for it.
when hinata is about to hit the ball on the last play, the violin gives me goosebumps

also extra cannon scene from a movie but u didnt watch it now and imo best to watch it after episode 5 of S4
Wow you get sponsor now
Good for you teddy
Yes it gets crazier
National youth is like our team usa teams for sports. Its their team japan for sports. So hes being invited to workout with other players who are at a national lvl
Dont forget to watch the ova land vs air before you jump into season 4
The training camp kinda like the golden training week is like a camp for very few of the best volleyball players in middle school so yea kageyama will be back too our team its just for training :)
Teddy, You and another person who is watching haikyuu are sponsored by the same, I also want to suggest that it is better to put 2 videos in 1, for example the last 2 episodes? to continue the hype
Awwwwwww I really want to eat that japanese sweets and snacks. I also saw this same thing in coach donny's video. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I am really angry that this is not available in india 😐
HYPEKYUUUUU!
No he might get same level on Ushijima. He might play for U-19 Japanese team
Season 4 best imo, looking forward to seeing it!
Kageyama has been the best player compared to anyone up until now, apart from oikawa, i feel like he is a better overall player than ushijima, he doesnt miss his jump serve, can spike both line and cross, is a blocker pretty much on tsukishimas level, and is the most capable setter yet so it is pretty mad how good he is
Season 4 is saying welcome
Wooop wooop Teddy sponsors! I’m gonna try it
