You can feel it even though you're not playing the game: Astro Bot was crafted with so much care and love that it's so refreshing to see, in an industry that avoid taking risks and propose the same recipe over and over again... Thank you Team Asobi to remind us what makes a game a masterpiece: The good moments you've spent into it. Its not often a matter of super realistic graphics or stories that makes us question our humanity.

It’s crazy to me honestly. After playing all the From Software games, FPS Games, Metroidvanias, and recently Black Myth Wukong and Space Marine 2, I realise just how long it’s been since I’ve played something so…simple. I got this game because I briefly saw gameplay and it looked like Mario Galaxy to me. That was enough for me to give it a shot. And I just loved every second of it. There was so much love and passion put into this game. From all the Special Bot interactions, to the incredibly vibrant and lively worlds that were created. It was honestly, cheesy as it may sound, beautiful. And then the end credit level. I’ve never felt so satisfied and weirdly nostalgic. And even the remainder of the credits with all the little scripted interactions and enemy names was just charming. This is the 2nd game on my PS5 that I’ve platinumed, and it was honestly incredible. GOTY? It’s definitely a contender. Currently fighting Black Myth Wukong on that one.

And so many references to my childhood gamed... these guys knew what they were doing and I salute them for it. Just looking at them made me feel young again. Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper... I was even shocked to see Mudokems from the Oddworld games! I genuinely did not expect that...

Wish i could experience this level for the first time again. The PlayStation 1 theme playing as the bay doors opened to reveal a whole fleet of PlayStation equipment ready to do battle gave me legit goosebumps. This game feels like such a love letter to Sony and PlayStation, and with the 30th anniversary this year as well it's got me real emotional.
Astro Bot is the first love standing outside your house with a boom box playing the greatest hits Ps1 was how I got into gaming, but I moved on since then, but this game alone keeps making me reconsider coming back
Yep, this game is a FULL homenage to all of Playstation story, from games like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Tekken and even Legend of Dragoon (an extreme hidden gem in RPGs for the PS1)
I love how, in Astro Bot, there are so many neiche mechanics with each of the items [like the Monkey, Dog exc.], and I love how they actually use all of them during the final battle. I hate it when games set up so many mechanics, only for a single section, or to not use them in the final boss - so its great seeing it done here.

It doesn't make sense that the PlayStation devices inside the device are supposed to be collected after each stage is over like Play Room. I hope there is an update to collect the devices so that the ending becomes logical and the final boss becomes longer and better and there are rewards.
I will argue until the day I die that the Green Alien is supposed to represent Microsoft/XBox and how he wants all the franchises to himself. It’s a metaphor for corporate greed, this game was in development during the three years where Microsoft started buying so many studios.
