I was at this show. My first B.R. show. I still have the ticket. awesome days
Classic "vintage" Bad Religion live show! (Never thought I'd label something from '91 as "vintage", as it seems like only yesterday!) I've been a fan of these guys for over 20 years! That's scary! Where has the time gone? They are still just as amazing today, if not even more so! Ultimate respect to Greg, Brett and all the revolving members of Bad Religion over the years! Everything they touched turned to gold, and I've never felt ripped off after purchasing ANY of their albums, as they ALWAYS delivered! They stayed AUTHENTIC and RELEVANT throughout their long musical journey! How many other bands who've been going as long as Bad Religion can say that? (Very few!) Keep it lit boys and keep rockin' our socks off, from Davey, a fellow musician and recording artist from Éire (Ireland) :)
I discoverd them in -91. Jesus!! How time flyes😫
Agree with any of your words. Even about time, my god ...
Life-changing band. The only constant in my life.
You're AWESOME, David!!!!!! Yep, I became a Dad six months after this show took place.
I can't believe I actually remember this show. Drove my shitty 68 Ford Galaxie to the show and was amazed at all the new cars in the parking lot behind the Country Club. I was jealous! I remember getting squished in the front and I keep looking for myself in this. BR has been one of my favorite bands for more than half my life! So lucky to have seen them since the beginning.
In 91 a friend of mine from Germany was visiting the US on extended stay and insisted I needed to go see these guys one night. I was a metal guy, not a punk guy - but they didn't disappoint. I even went home with a bloody lip.
This was my second of a few Bad Religion shows. So incredible. Love this band.
Bad Religion in 1992 at the Hollywood Palladium was my first concert. They have been my favorite band since 1987 when I first heard them on a stereo while skating my buddies Half pipe. Seeing this video in 2020 during a pandemic when social distancing has cancelled all scheduled events, makes me miss it a lot. I look forward to the day when we can have mosh pits, crowd surfing, and stage diving. Haha I never thought I would miss running around in circles with a bunch of sweaty men as much as I do.
This is so epic!!
The best punk rock band in their prime!
INDEED.
Boby my favourite bad religion drummer. I miss him
vvvv what? They always play a mix of old and new. There are some great songs from Generator, Recipe for Hate, Stranger than Fiction, the Gray Race to come on future tours. However, this set promoting the release of Against the Grain is possibly BR at their best with Suffer / No control / Against the Grain having been released over a 3 year period. Pure energy delivering some of their best songs.
This was about the time I discovered Bad Religion when I started high school in SoCal. 30 years ago now...damn! I'm old.
damn Bobby is on POINT this night!
17:48 *DO WHAT YOU WANT*... Lyrical changes in this version: "Go to hell with *BATMAN* and die like *EDWARD SCISSORSHANDS*, YA-HEY!" instead of "Go to hell with *SUPERMAN* and die like a *CHAMPION*, YA-HEY!" and "My moniker is *GREG*, and I'm rotten to the core!" rather than "My moniker is *MAN* and I'm rotten to the core!" Great stuff! Another example of the lads keeping their material fresh! Respect from Davey in Ireland. :)
Thank you so much! Finally found a concert of BR with only songs of the holy trinity of punkrock!
Bobby where ever you are we haven't forgotten you!!
miss him
where is he?
He was so good, he made them so thight!
Best BR drummer for sure.
@matt binks Still have a lot of respect for Brooks too as he was with 'em a long time and did very well.....even had some double bass beats on Empire was it? Thanx for the reply mate.
Kickass show and kickass Bretts NOFX shirt, gotta love it.
Wow. I had just turned 12 when this concert happened. I wouldn't hear their music for another year and a half... I couldn't even imagine. Whoever posted this show, you fucking rule.

The Big Bang Bad Religion
+Alfredo Guzman thanks partner
+Alfredo Guzman Thanks a million boss.. Great gig.. :) Davey
good time
Thank you
I saw them in 2022 in Barcelona last weekend, still legends
HOW GREAT WAS THAT
GREG GREFFIN.
IS MY
FAVORITE
IM 62.
Fucken powerhouse opening, & it just goes off from there! Rarely can a band pull off a live show like Bad Religion can. Livee shows are the measure of a bands greatness, & these guys sit easily at the top of live performers.
But Ramones can
Great era of punk rock! I saw BR for the first time a few years later in 93 with Clutch. The pit took off from the very first song, which was "Generator".
Sheer fucking awesome. If I had a time machine I would go here.
The first night of the 30th anniversary shows at Irving Plaza in 2010 was very similar. I'm happy I can say I attended it. www.setlist.fm/setlist/bad-religion/2010/irving-plaza-new-york-ny-63d50e0f.html
Same
Man allot of credit to GREG hard to sing like that live and still sound damn close to the album 👊👊👊👊👍👍👍
I wonder why Bentley do not singalongs? Lack of assurance i suppose 🤔
you guys ruled my teenage life ... nice to meet you again 20 years later ...
bobby on drums
brett no glasses
HETSON HAIR
Came here expecting to see a Heston hair comment and sure enough, right "on top". Love his energy on stage. Great set of classic BR material (well all their shit is classic)
missing Bobby, and look at young Jay Bent haha
Brett doesn't have the pornstar goatee, Greg isn't balding, and Jay is actually playing the bass. Great times xD
him and the guitarist should have got hair replacement years ago
@@S-undayBrunch I mean he's still balding here it's just not as advanced
This video is gold. Thank you very much
great performance. thanks to share
just incredible epicness!!! probably best set ever! see them this june and can't wait!
Para mi una de la mejores bandas de hardcore, lo empeze a escuchar en 1994 la generación punk de Argentina
How awesome is this video !!!
Brilliant! The ruckus at 1:05 and still being able to find a caption from a different angle in the venue. Well done
THANK YOU FOR POSTING. So cool to see this! Kind regards from the Netherlands.
Anastasia ..my love.such a divine chords progression 🎸🎶😍
went to this show in Amsterdam....oh memories
30 years ago tonight May 24, 1991 - May 24, 2021: Bad Religion still rock on :)
I was at this show was the best show I’ve ever seen. I didn’t have a ticket bust a security guard at the side door let me in when I showed him my military ID. Was the best Friday night show. Spanky’s in Riverside was a hotspot on the punk scene back then as well.
AND
WE ARE STILL
HERE .
YES GREG.G.
I'M GLAD HE STILL IS GREG.GREFFIN.
what a great time to see them.. the playlist only consists of their best albums
I was 9 days old when this show happened lol amazing to have youtube to be able to watch these kind of things.
That fucking set list!!! I saw them on this tour in Detroit, MI. At Oakland Community College gymnasium. They were AWESOME!!!
when i was in high school, i seen them on this tour, at the huntridge in las vegas. at the time, i was wondering where peter finestone went. couldn't just google it and find out in those days. i bought a vhs bootleg of this video and played the hell out of it. there was another camera in that vid but this one definitely scratched the itch!
Whatever happened to finest one anyway?
I read that he was pissing gurewits off but I also heard that he got them kicked off of epitaph because of drug related issues
AKAtan00ki He left cos he had another band 'The Trawler Men'?? I think that's their name?!? They signed to a major label, so he left the greatest band in world, for fame and fortune, to anonymity!!!!!!! LOSER!! But we're better with him. The End
fuck, just deleted whole load of info, bolllox!!!!!!!!! anyway c b'low
Danny Cunningham thought it was The Fishermen? cant find any info on them though so not sure what happened.
Incredible setlist and an amazing performance. The day I bought Stranger Than Fiction was the day that changed my life. 25 years later, I've seen them 7 times and their music moves me so hard I feel like I just had sex with a freight train. The most important band on the planet. The most intelligent "Fuck You" ever written.
Do you have their LPs??
wouldn't mind this set list at all nowadays :) .. I watch these old concerts of them once a year and suffer a little since I missed them in the early 90s in Frankfurt, Germany in exchange for a stupid party, cheap drugs and an even stupider girl I wanted to meet this evening aahhgrrzz
Pqp como eu amo essa banda
Damn, I was in 9th grade. I'm 43 now. Great shit!!!!!
Saw this tour in Petaluma w/Green Day
That was amazing
EPIC!...THANKS GUNSNITRO FOR POSTING!!...
14:59 Sweet catch
1:03:55 also nice catch :D
most fucking epic! Thank you
Walked to this show & sold out in front of my face, was almost in tears. I know I was a high school pansy😂
awesome performance
fking amazing set !
Great ❤
This is great..,, I saw them I wanna say feb or march of 1989 at the country club....would love to find a video of that ;)
I'm jealous!
this group has a unique punk rock sound...kind of a celtic vibe even though they are using electric guitars.
epic thanks
One of my fav
Hetson's running a damn marathon up there!
Amazing
I was there.. All the Hardcore Sui's gave respect.... I never did thank them.... Mucho Classico Homes
i like the way he moves in this era he seemed to have lost that in the later years all his funny acts
He was probably drunk
lo mejor de lo mejor
Awesome
never go to a punk show with a hat
Alfredo Guzman Sound advice!
Hahaha! So true! I've even managed to lose shoes at gigs! :P
I almost learn't that the hard way, lucky for me someone found it , and gave it back.
NEXUS2040 was it a black jim lindberg hat by any chance?
font tell me what to do
Best punk rock band ever
epic awesomeness
10:10 epic reaction man
No control at the Country Club.
kinda looks like the "Along The Way" video from a couple years before, but here in America...
15:01 nice catch!!!!
I have that NOFX shirt....Brooks is the most talented drummer they ever had. They stayed at the hotel right next to my buddys house. I was in the driveway and Brooks was walking down the road to Chili's. He stopped took pics with us and my buddy gave him a ride. Met Greg and hung with Jay bedore they're set that night, cause my buddy gets us back stage at the venue they were playing. Just saw them this summer in Burlington VT with PW and Offspring. Havent lost a beat.
Timothy Rankin Wow, sounds like it was a great night. I'm a UK Bad Religion fan. Have seen them over here maybe 10+ times over the last 15 years, but never had the chance to meet / talk with them. Walked passed (unknowingly) Mr Brett though. He was was eating a bag of chips (fries....but chunkier) outside the Town and Country Club (Now Forum) in Kentish Town on Against the Grain tour. It wasn't until they were on stage that I realised we'd walked past a blue haired Mr Brett an hour or so earlier, d'oh!
Best band ever.
Repertório ❤
@ 52, B.R. is still my favorite band.
going to a gig was still fun back then
Best Bad Religion concert fuckin ever!!!
epic performance of do what you want
ANSOLUTELY! I love the changes he makes to the lyrics in this version! I listed them in my comment above (near the top).. AMAZING gig wasn't it? Respect to ya Nicolás, from pal Davey in Ireland :)
mr brett with NOFX shirt
know these lyrics like the back of my hand
Can't wait to see these guys again at Terminal 5!!
For more punk rock, watch The Strange Times TV!!
Epic
Used to see this era's shows at Iguana's.
Amazing days...
Great crowd
good eye for the camera man cathing that one guys "Suffer" tatoo...
1:03:54, the security guard is lucky that was a little agressive
I'd die to hear Faith Alone love that song
Holy shit! Greg Hetson with hair!
22:09 nice catch
My god, I was living in Reseda at the time and did not go. Terrible terrible.
Pete left in april -91 and here they have Bobby behind the drums. How many shows did Bobby play with BR before this show?
Fucking amazing
Guys whats the song at like 46:01 ????? Im dying to know it!!!
que estaban jovenes ¡¡ me encantan
I wonder if he ever thinks to himself during the shows, man that’s a lot of words.
I wish i could be there.
That bouncer is fuckin pissed off. Hahahahaha
1991: 6:00 zooms in on a tat
2020: would zoom in on an empty skin spot
I think the camera operator zooms in because the tattoo is the guy in the cover of Bad Religion's Suffer
The bass line on 13:55.
"And go to hell with batman" ahhah
Poor Greg started balding at 25 years old
+bob bobo That is funny shit. Probably true also.
more like 20 haha
that's what happens to people with high brain activity...
@bob bobo Now picturing Greg with a goatee - he'd have lost all credibility
Hetson looks like angus young but without guitar solos!
