It really is an incredible place. We really want to go back to finish off the last couple trails that we didn't have time to do. We still have 2 more videos about the park coming up! 1 os a scenic drive guide and the other it a lost of the things that you can do there :)

Agree this is a world class hike. Heart of Rocks and Echo Canyon are both special hikes but too short to be classified as great. But once you join them together its an amazing day. I've done this as both the combo loop and as two separate hikes in one day.

That's awesome! So glad that you also got to experience it! We really want to go back to do the rest of the hikes in the park. Did you do any of the others?

Hi guys nice videos on the park it looks fantastic somewhere I need to go. Looks like you covered the park what hikes would you recommend as not to miss. The big loop might be to much for me.
Also you guys get around where is your homebase? I am in northern California

Hey Kevin! Glad you are enjoying the videos! The big loop does give you the most bag for the buck as far as hikes go. It is a beast though, and If that is too much, I would say that hiking to Echo Grottoes, Inspiration Point, and Massai Point will show you some pretty incredible sights. One of our favorites is Heart of Rocks, but it is pretty much right in the middle of the big loop so it's going to be a bit more of a trek. We are Californians as well. We are about 45 min outside of San Diego. 😎

Eight and a half hours?! 😱 i wanted to spend some time at the visitors center before hiking this one, probably I should skip it and head straight to the trail. Like you guys I also take a ton of pictures on my hikes 😂
Good call on the trekking poles 👍, I am not a big fan of poles, but I can see that they might come in handy on this terrain 👍
Btw, there is an initiative to make Chiricahua a National Park

Yes it took us a while to finish it. We did however do Inspiration Point, heart of rocks and echo canyon Grottoes. We also took tons of pictures so that added a lot of time! Hopefully the poles will keep you from being sore the next day. That would be wild to see it transfer into a national park!

@@LiveThatAdventure just came back from Southern AZ.
Big Loop took me 6:30 hours 😱 it was windy and cold 🥶 and decided to go counterclockwise 👍.
I was like 40 minutes into the hike and had only gone ONE MILE 😲… downhill 🤦🏻‍♂️!! LOL! There was just sooooo much to see and take pictures of.
Heart of Rocks was out of this world beautiful 🤯🤯😍😍
At some point I felt like I was never going to get out of there so I started to go faster after I left Big Balancing Rock. Visited Inspiration Point too 😎🤘

@@bobbafett7407 congrats on the big loop! You totally smoked our time. We are stoked that you got to experience it. Pretty mind blowing huh? I'm glad that you did hear of rocks and inspiration point too, they are totally worth the added distance. That hike is definitely a beast. I think we will do it the way you did it next time. 😎👍

@@LiveThatAdventure I think going clockwise or counterclockwise has pros and cons. Unless you perfectly match your hiking you’ll end up with the sun on the wrong side of the trail on some of these formations.
I couldn’t get good pictures of Kissing Rocks, Pinnacle and Big Balanced Rock because I had the sun on the wrong side when I got there 🤔
Still, they are impressive and the whole hike is super fun, even that climb out of the canyon!! 🥵

Thanks for this! Are u aware of areas/hikes which allow backcountry camping here in Chira? With maybe a multi day loop?

Hey, as far as we know, there aren't any backpacking options inside the monument. But there are some in Chiricahua Mountain.

This past Saturday I took the Rhyolite Trail to Sarah Deming Trail. I didnt have enough time past 3pm to go up to the rocks. Yet after nearly 6 miles it was a real hike even though it was not the steepest clime. I did use two hiking poles. Next time from Tucson I will take the other shorter trails and the high points.

I think that these trails are really easy to underestimate. There is some serious elevation gain out there. Glad ya got to check it out!
