That scene worked on me too. I thought that a Pokemon being THIS mechanical was silly. I mean, transforming into a bike or glider with moving robotic parts? Sounds more like the realm of a Digimon to me. But then that scene happened and it looked at the camera like it was just SO done with all of the Houndour and I immediately changed my mind. It has personality, and I like it. He's a good boi!

At first i hated how they gave away the legendaries like this, but then i enjoyed how he seams to be part of your journey instead of being a random big boss that you encounter mid-game cause of some evil plan, koraidon growed on me and always i interacted with it whenever possible
As a power-hungry lunatic who always tries to over level my team early on, you don't hear me complaining about that first part *(it's why I loved the hell out of the Dynamax Lair dlc from the last gen),* but as someone who also loves a good story, it was genuinely refreshing to have one join you on your journey as a genuine part of the story, gradually helping them get stronger as they help you get stronger, rather than just the typical flat-character powerhouse.

Honestly, I was exactly the same when I started the game. I knew of it vaguely from a few trailers and wasn't really a fan, but that intro really endeared him to me, and I quickly grew to love him. As Fauna said, he's a good boy!
