Wearing some black 505's right now. In my opinion, 505's fit the best over boots and they are durable and comfortable enough to work in but they also look good enough to wear casually. 501's are right there with them.

Nice color. You can’t go wrong with Levi’s. My preferred Levi’s is 501 for regular boots and 511 for ankle boots.

505’s > 501’s. The tapered silhouette looks really nice with cowboy boots. And the way they stack is perfect imo.
You just cant go wrong with classic Levi’s in my opinion. They look great. And seriously.....what doesn’t look good with those BNV cognac water buffalo calf boots. I may need to add that boot to my collection ✌🏻🤠

Levi's 505 are probably my favorite jean right now, especially with a little stretch in a dark wash. They're great with cowboy boots, heritage boots, dress shoes, and sneakers. They look similar to the 501, fit the same on the hips, but they don't strangle my thighs, while still fitting close to the thighs, and they have a zip. They're also nearly as iconic. They were released in 1967, and they were featured on the cover of Rolling Stones album "Sticky Fingers".
And they're pretty durable too, I have a pair that's 5 years old that I've worn as my go-to pants and the only distressing is fraying at the hems and recently a small hole in the right pocket (from my phone). For the money, you really can't go wrong. The made in Mexico pairs tend to be the best quality, IMO.
Love them with the little bit of stretch. I didn't know they were the jeans on the cover of Sticky Fingers. Thats awesome!
I agree! 505s are my favorite overall, and I’ve tried 511, 502, 541, 513 which is my second favorite, 559, 550, 501, 505s win it for me, I literally have like six pairs of 505s from black, brown, dark wash, light wash, gray, medium wash, stretch and 100% cotton, they’re great.

Still need to try out some more jeans, I am a wrangler man currently. Definitely feeling you and the issues with slightly more form fitting jeans with longer, skinnier legs.

Diesel ,501, Lee rodeo jeans look great with my 10 inch army ASM boots
501 and 505 have gotten smaller in the cuff the last few years. In 2010, they were almost boot cut. Now they look tapered.
i liked the last version of the JW square toe boot when I had the volume turned down because I'm a 34/32, but after listening to you, I can see how a different build can affect looks. Were you a long-distance runner?

I like wearing the 502 and 505 with my cowboy boots. As long as the shaft is that as wide and Ariat I am usually good to go. I would love to see and updated review on your baby Buffalo BNV boots!

Hey I just bought a brand new pair of cowboy boots and the seam on the shaft is like cutting me should i return them? Or if I wear them they would soften I don’t know would appreciate for the help

where does the 36 inch length fit barefoot? Is it long enough to go under your foot? I don't own any boots but i'm looking to buy some and I own a pair of 505 32 length inseam and they go a bit below my heel.
I usually pair my Wranglers with my Justin model 2222s but these look good!

Those are my personal favorite pairs 514 can't go wrong with boots great room too I'm mid weight if you're on the skinny side smaller thighs go with 513 just my opinion. Best bet is to wear your favorite boot's and try em on at the store every body is different 🤠.
I've got chicken legs, yours are fine buddy....Those 505s really seem to do the job well overall in most cases for sure. I agree, I wear my levis longer to ensure the jeans don't ride up on the boot shafts, especially after standing up....I can always cuff em a bit if they are a touch too long....Way to rock those 2" heels buddy, hoping to see more of them

I haven't had a problem yet but I haven't traveled to a place where the skins are illegal yet either. Exotics can be a risk. For example I wouldn't want to wear my caimans to Scotland because they are illegal there

Levi's jeans are great love them you should try 511 Slim Fit, 513 Slim Straight, 514 Straight, and I know you've tried the 527 Slim Bootcut you should also try 517

Is it me or does Levi's just NOT have jeans for boots as good as Wrangler? I've tried several. Which 'stack' as good as Wranglers?
They have a new line called western fit, they’re a little more tailored for the cowboy look from the thigh through the ankle than the other cuts like 501, 505, but I think you can pull off many cuts of Levi’s with cowboy boots as long as the leg opening is big enough. If you’re going for the stacked look, then just go extra long on the inseam, 36 for sure.

In my opinion all the boots looked bad a$$ with those jeans except the square toes. Nothing against the boot company. I just think that square toes look better with baggier jeans. But my favorite were the rattlesnake boots.

I don't think most people would notice the shaft showing through with lighter wash blue jeans especially in an area where cowboy boots aren't so common.
