    Claus, your videos have have inspired me beyond words. I suddenly see the thing I've wanted my entire life as a possibility instead of a dream I don't have the talent for. I have improved more in the past 2 months than ever before. Thank you. You are an amazing teacher.

    In about ten seconds, you made more sense about this topic than I've heard in hours of other tutorials. Thank you so much!

    You know what inspires me? You do! your persona on video is very exiting. you're very animated, and for me that's a good thing.
    now then, this is an area I need work on. my left hand isn't as fast as my right. I can play in sink, but depending on the sequences, top speeds change. good stuff.

    Claus thank you, once again you adress a topic that is most relevant to me now... and you have done that before. I don't know how you do it, but please continue to do so haha. Thanks for the great content, and what a lovely guitar by the way

    This is so true. With everyday 3-4 hours practice, it took me almost six months to play the second-half of the 'Hail to The King' solo on acoustic up to speed. You need to keep repeating it while doing it correctly until you're sick of it and then you do it again.

    I can practice for a hour and increase my speed like crazy, to the point where most people would call it "shred," then the next day, when I start, it's like I'm starting all over again and it takes my entire practice session to get back where I left off. Apparently there is supposed to be some point where this "two steps forward, two steps back" doesn't happen any more. After 25+ years of playing, I haven't found it yet. lol

    Listening to Audiobooks with your headphones on as you play the boring mode shapes over, and over, and over... then realizing that after four or five books you have less than fifty hours. It takes 10,000.

    Now that I've finished your Cequentia bundle once (simplest of ways), using about 1-2hrs (almost) every evening past four weeks while watching Netflix, I've got some really substantial results. It's nice to see and experience how the things you speak about, actually transforms to real life results.

    the toughest part is I can make big leaps and then plateau and it is hard to keep working past that plateau. Then I try to increase too quickly. One riff I have been working on for a year. I doubled my speed in about 3 weeks. From there I only increased about 10% over the next 5 months and probably only 5% more in the next 6 months.

    • @NunoJBSilvaGuitar
      @NunoJBSilvaGuitar 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try to increase the speed a bit like 10-20 bpm and manage to do one single repetition, rest, do it again and so on. That's what helped me with my palm muting, I couldn't go over 90% of the song tempo and then I started trying to achieve to go 100% even only doing one perfect take it made by 90% speed to start increase. I'm now on 97% and doing 102% as speed bump/burst.
      Probably your body needs a new stimulus that's where the speed bump kicks in, it will force your body to adapt. Keep doing the slower tempo as well to make it clean.

    @ 100 BPM on a 4 note run, it would take 6 hours to complete 10k reps and 641 hours to complete 1M reps. :( ... I feel defeated.

    It would take you roughly 30 years to play one lick 100 times per day to get to one million times. If you start at 25 years old you would be 55 by the time you reached your goal. I think I'll opt for playing slower with a million times more feeling.

    • @psteeg3551
      @psteeg3551 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      realise that the more you practice, the faster you can play, and the faster you can do your repetitions. Exponential growth curve

  • @pennypacker7209
    @pennypacker7209 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    30reps a min=1800hr takes 555hrs to reach a million reps

    • @pennypacker7209
      @pennypacker7209 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are right, even just playing 1 note per sec would cut that to 275 hrs. 2 notes per sec to 135hr for a million reps
