- This week we attempt a square metre challenge as requested in the comments! We also meet the wonderful James and his mum Emma and do a spot of mudlarking with them. Oscar makes a long awaited reappearance so it is a day of mini mudarks. Kate makes a small craft at the end using some of our teeny tiny finds! We hope you enjoy!! :)

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for your lovely messages about Kates trip! ❤️ For those concerned, she is only going for a month, and we have made enough films in advance, so there won’t be any films without her in them 😊

I like Oscar’s idea of giving scores for items! He’s a good kid and I expect he’ll turn out as wonderfully as Kate did, and will be mudlarking with you always. Your little guest is a heckuva mudlarker himself!
Oscar is growing up fast, you can see it through our films, which is scary haha :)
I wish I had this kind of relationship with my daughter. You guys are always so kind and supportive of each other! What a lifelong blessing you have!
I wish I had this relationship with my mother...she just always seemed to be the child.
I didn’t have a close relationship with my mother .. my sister was more compatible with her.. However, my daughter and I love each other’s company .. every chance we get we craft together, though now that she is living 1000 miles away.. so most of the time it’s by video…. It’s not the same, but.. we still need to share with each other..
@@annassiter4087 you are blessed to have that relationship with your daughter even though she lives far away. My daughter has some mental health issues that make a healthy relationship almost impossible. I just keep loving her and praying for her to find wellness someday.
my mother died hopelessly insane from recurring brain tumors and pointless craniotomies. after 30 years i am finally able to access good memories, and to acknowledge my love for her, and hers for me. regarding your relationship with your daughter, no effort is too much, keep trying and remember that communication is key, and love is acceptance. there are so many things i would change if only i could have
@@HunterPeale oh my goodness I’m so sorry you had to endure all that, and that she did too. You are a very strong person, and very wise as well. Thank you for the reminder and the good advice. I keep hoping my daughter will be healthy one day. I’ve had to absorb a lot of the products of her illness, but I remind myself that much of it she cannot help. It’s tough.

@Emma Morris You certainly have a lovely son; I heard about James from Nicola White on her channel at least a year ago. I also LOVE SiFinds! So nice to see a young person that is so kind, inquisitive and well spoken. I collect sea glass and agates in Washington state USA and understand about stuff getting lost in my room.

James is such a lovely child. I'm sure he would love digging up all the Indian arrowheads my grandsons find on my property here in Florida. They are fascinated by what you find mudlarking.👍🏖

Happy birthday! Your mudlarking inspires me to go out along the now-bike path railway line to look for bottles, and I have found a vulcanised stopper, a glass stopper, some beads, and even a few complete tiny bottles! As I live in Melbourne, Australia, these are a big surprise to be a six minute walk from my front door. There may not be much older than the 1890s, but it’s brought me a lot of joy. Thank you both so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I loved this lark so much and James was so awesome. He really knew his stuff and was so sweet. Oscar was a gem as always and the meter challenge was cool too! Can’t wait to see the next video.
It was fun to see Oscar on the mudlark. He won the day with the best bead. That James is a delight. What a sweet boy and so generous at sharing his treasures.
I've always been a bit freaked out by kids as I never know how to talk to them, but James seems like such a brilliant little guy and very intelligent for his age! Very level headed too! Kate was so great with him too. Lots of nice beads and I love the shell box! The boats on the beach remind me of the painting I'm working on currently 😂 For the hinge, you can glue a small piece of material to do the same thing if you can't find one tiny enough.
James seems very grown up for his age, and very intelligent. He was very easy to talk too :)
What joy you exude with each find, as if each was a priceless treasure of indescribable worth. How great that you take such pleasure in your treasures. But how much greater that you treasure the people you meet and the time you have together.

First of all, I hope Kate is having the most amazing time in South America! This was such a lovely video. It was really good to see Oscar again and that yelloe bead he found was absolutely beautiful.What a delight to meet James and Emma - James is such a sweet and kind boy and he knows his stuff! I have had a look at his Instagram page and it is fantastic - he has made some extraordinary finds! I'd certainly never seen a giraffe amongst anyone's finds before! 🦒

Yes, please be careful with the mercury.
The end is painted silver and there is no mercury present thankfully :)

Speaking only for myself, when videos of this quality are put out on a regular basis by good reliable sources, I DON’T NEED mysterious click baity messages to keep me coming back.
As a matter of fact, I find it quite irritating . But if I continue to see this happen enough times, I’ll just move on. Not sure that’s what these nice folks want.

So much fun. We're still under feet of snow where I live so it was pretty nice to see you all out enjoying a lark. A tip for tiny building that might help next time you assemble is to melt some candle wax into the tip of a cocktail stick. Let it set and you can use it to pick up little things and place them. I use this trick for adding rhinestones to fingernails. Thank you for sharing your adventures. 🥰

My favorite thing I've seen you make is the little tinker box. The tiny tiny shells is genius. I've had tinker boxes with shells most all my life ,don't have one at the moment, when I down sized it was one of those things that didn't make it to my new house. I'll be down sizing again in a few weeks ,moving in with one of my daughters,she is now an empty nester,so mom's moving in lol. Guess I need too I'm 73 and my health isn't very good.. Back to your finds; that has got to be the smallest leg I've ever seen that James gave you. Goodness if you could cast it in silver clay it would be perfect size for a charm or pendant.

What a lovely Shell box my grandmother gave me a lady made completely of shells I really loved that doll we moved alot when I was a kid and some where along the way she got broken and I have looked every time we go to the beach I think I am going to get the shells and make a doll you have inspired me when I saw your lovely box so thank you !
