Polo Explorer, long discontinued, was for me the best this house ever produced. Recently acquired an 8-ml sample and it confirmed my recollection. A friend swears that my Tom Ford Anthracite is a twin for Polo Green - I can detect a similar component, but the Green has a more animalic smell to me and just doesn't compare.
such a shame you didn't review Polo Deep Blue. It is the best and longest-lasting of the Blue line. One of the best summer fragrances for men (not a unisex smell) along with Hawas, Invictus Legend, ADG Profumo and other classics.
What do you consider an older formulation of polo green? I'm new into fragrances but I did have an old mini bottle of polo green that I probably got around 2005ish.
