Camilo Castillon yeah not too bad love the melody and the mixing on the drums. Maybe add a bit more melodic elements to create a sense of progression - it seemed a bit too repetitive. Maybe some counter melodies, or some instruments plays the chords, idk just something changing.
Love your content. And I absolutely respect the fact that more people are intrigued to learn Reggaetón. As a Latin producer I gotta say that, Bieber and Gomez are the artists that made collaborations with Latin Reggaetón Artists and Latin Producers like Tainy which helped them expand their music to the Latin demographic. If you want to make a reference on Reggaetón artists you wanna have on your list artists like: - Daddy Yankee - Wisin & Yandel - Jay Wheeler - Chencho Corleone - Bad Bunny - Don Omar - Nio Garcia - Natty Natasha - Karol G - Jhay Cortez - Rauw Alejandro - Cosculluela - Robi - Kendo Kaponi - Nicky Jam - Ozuna - J Balvin - Zion & Lennox - Arcangel - De La Ghetto - Jowell & Randy - Ivy Queen And many others that fit this list.
The reggaeton producers used to put a lot more effort into the instrumentals from around 2003-2010 ish. After that, the beats and melodies became more monotonous, and it became more mainstream. I wish more producers now would bring back these beats/melodies. There was even an "electroflow" subgenre which was neat, with hits like Wisin & Yandel "Sexy Movimiento". In fact, you mention Tainy- he used to be an incredible producer, especially in this 7ish year golden age. He was one of my favs for sure. The difference is quite palpable, which is a big reason I no longer listen to reggaeton (the new stuff). When I do listen from time to time, I mainly stick to ones from that era- including many from the artists you listed. I'll give you 3 of my fav tunes off the top of my head from some of the artists: Wisin & Yandel ft. Franco El Gorilla- Atrevete (It has 3+ different beats in one song, which is a rarity nowadays). Zion - Fantasma (Really good melodies in this masterpiece). Arcangel & De La Ghetto- Ella Me Enloquece Bailando (One of the best instrumentals ever). Let me know what you think of these! I mostly listen to reggaeton for the instrumentals, especially the melody and beats- the lyrics were and are largely trash in general with this genre, haha!

I’ma be honest Simon, i was kinda scared you’d butchered my native genre, but you didn’t do bad and you understood what the basis of the genre is and made it your own. I wouldn’t call this reggeaton, but I don’t feel disrespected by it. Reggeaton really is a very sample heavy genre, the drum sounds and fills are originally sampled from old reggea songs ( hence the name ) gun shots make great snares as well ( in reality that’s what the big artist use, Daddy Yankee, Bad Bunny, Anuel, Hector El Father ) the top producers for reggeaton are Mambo kingz, DJ blass and Tainy you should listen to them to understand what “ true “ PuertoRican reggeaton really is. Because the drum sounds are more than likely always the same “‘color “ and pattern( kicks on 1/4 specially) then it makes it into a Melody and vocals heavy type of music. Cheers mate, i’ve always wanted to see your take on the genre and you didn’t disappoint. Oh and also, there’s an old school tedency to keep the melody loops to be 2 bars long. You should try to make more of an old school reggeaton beat, DJ blass would be good inspiration for that.
