Hello. Thanks for this work ❤ It's always important to revise phonetic sounds because we make some mistakes without knowing these rules or perhaps we forgot them.😊
Bonjour, merci de nous aider à corriger nos fautes, ta vidéo est vraiment essentiel pour les débutantes, comme moi. C’est tellement important de bien prononcer pour se faire comprendre et comprendre les anglophones. Tu mérites un trophée 🏆. 🇨🇦(Québécoise)
Emphasizing the word 'security' in compound nouns while in a library may cause you problems :D What did the schwa say when it won the lottery? Uh-mazing! Thank you for this fantastic lesson.
Excellent teaching on pronunciation of many many English words ,where one has to learn the spellings of the words as well as their unique pronunciations; English being known for its idiosyncrasies with no rhyme, reason and logic. Yet, it is strange that it rules the world.!
Hi Max, I'm really surprised and proud of myself that I knew the pronunciation. It's really nice to see an easy lesson. My English seems to be working well and that even though I can hardly use it at the moment Greetings from sunny and warm Germany Greetings Thomas
Wow!
You are amazing Max, your lessons are real pearls (do you have this expression in English? No I think not, you have gems). Cheers from up-over. PS Your puppets have been a bit quiet lately!
Oh thank you! We sometimes say "pearls", but you're right. "Gems" is more common in that sort of context. I know... I'll have to put them to work again soon!
I am from Sri lanka...mostly I watched you English class program. Very easy understand .meanwhile I am very interesting to get these videos fully how can I get it .please could you kindly let me know.
Merci beaucoup! 🇨🇦(Québécoise)
Hello! As far as I know, the /ɒ/ doesn't exist in standard American English. When it is used in British English, Americans usually use /ɑː/ like in "not". It's similar to /ʌ\, but longer and not as open. Re the schwa, good question. No, an unstressed syllable isn't automatically a schwa... sadly, you just have to know how to pronounce each word because there aren't any concrete rules :S. I hope that helps!
Bonjour, je ne comprends pas pour le mot motorbike, d’après le dictionnaire Cambridge, ce sera seulement mo=la syllabe accentuée et non motor???? Peux-tu m’expliquer SVP? Merci beaucoup! 🇨🇦
Remember to turn on the subtitles if you need them! 😀
Great! Thank you so much for this very useful lesson.
You're very welcome!

It is indeed strange! It'd be much easier if the international language was a more phonetic one like Spanish :D.
Great 🎉❤❤❤
Bagus sekali, ibu.
Terima kasih!

Yes, the syllable "mo" is stressed. For the section on compound nouns, I was talking about word stress (as opposed to syllable stress) :).
❤🇧🇷
What you mean by stress? do we have to give any extra pressure on sound like increase sound for that words?
Yes, exactly. It's basically the same as emphasis.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Why in british accents the vowel in a word like "fast" can be pronounced in two ways? What is the rule for that?
There's no rule, unfortunately. It just depends on where the person is from.
@@EnglishwithMax
Thanks very much .
But can I use this rule generally?👇
•We can pronounce it in two ways if two consonants comes After it
@@zaynapessam9572 No, sadly there are a lot of cases in which that wouldn't work.
