  • Overlanding and Camping in Zimbabwe at Chilojo Cliffs in Gonarezhou National Park.
    One of the most incredible sights you may ever come across, while overlanding and camping in Southern Africa, is the sunset reflecting off the Chilojo Cliffs in Gonarezhou National Park. A majestic spectacle that can be enjoyed for hours. That is what awaits you at the completely off-grid and exclusive campsites - only two! - facing Chilojo Cliffs.
    Nothing but your gear, the supplies you brought, a long-drop toilet, and a firepit... oh and of course the incredible views, of the river, the cliffs, and the animal life. If you're planning to visit Gonarezhou in Zimbabwe, we definitely recommend digging a bit deeper to book a night or two at this site.
    This site is unfenced, and Gonarezhou is a Big Five park. There is no electricity, no lighting (unless you count the full moon if your timing is right), no running water (the river water is definitely not advised for use of any kind), no shops, and nothing but the sound of the bush all around you.

    Very informative. Gona is underrated. Thanks for shining a light on it. It should attract a lot of visitors now that they have Rhinos in this magnificent park too.

      Beautiful park, they're doing a great job of restoring it. Hopefully they'll get all the roads done soon, there was a lot of work being done on that.

    Such a pity you can't purchase anything at same time no fishing 🙆🙆

      I'd like to go back when the water is warmer and fish at the other camps. Chinguli looked quite promising.

    Hi there, random question…where can you buy those poles for the front flap of your tent? I want to buy them but have no clue where to start

    • @TravelGigolo
      @TravelGigolo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The poles came with the tent. We got our tent from TentCo. I expect they would be available separately as well.
