My anxiety could NEVER let me live in a cabin on the water with my two toddlers, I would jolt awake every two seconds at night thinking they may have drowned. Props to you momma but this is insanity 😄
Haha! Yeah, we've gotten that a lot from people! (and it WAS insanity!) but at night, I was actually fine because he slept between my husband and I, and we were all tucked in under the same mosquito net together. Somehow it felt sort of secure! Day time, running around on those boards though... another story!
You are completely 💯 right 👌👌 how do you manage tantrums when out of routine things happen with toddler and you have to follow a specific time or go out ?
Thank you, it really depends (re: tantrums) on his age, stage of development at the exact time we've been traveling, etc, etc. Prevention (catching the tantrum before it's really out of hand) has been helpful for us in times of extreme change. For our son, I try to be very very aware of his needs/wants/moods/feelings and stay as "in sync" with him as I possibly can on travel days and days when we don't have a strong routine. Since we've traveled with him quite often since he was very little (3 months) -- often staying in one place for months at a time -- we've all become used to the moving around a lot. And it seems chaotic, but we do try to maintain certain routines, for example: bath, reading, bed. If he does have a major meltdown, we just get through it, unfortunately (!) like we would at home and carry on

Love your insights, thank you!
You are so right, our kids don’t need a room full of toys, they just want to play imagination based games with us 💞🤩 great video
Thank you!
Love this Britt! Heard someone joke recently that Thoreau could’ve just said simplify once to make the point 😅 Never thought of that!
🤣🤣🤣
