- What is in my toddler's carry-on bag after 30+ flights together?! Here are all the items that I always have on hand for my toddler and myself -- as well as my tried and tested "packing system" of 3 carry-on bags (most airlines will allow you to bring your lap baby's diaper bag on board for free, and it does not count as one of your carry-on items). Learn how to do an airplane DIAPER CHANGE (omg!) in my other video: th-cam.com/video/_M2QMwtIWeI/w-d-xo.html
I’m a flight attendant and basically anyone and everyone I know asks for tips for traveling with kiddos. I decided to find a video I could direct people to. This video is the winner! You are doing so many things right! Keeping everything under the seat is 100% the way to go. It makes life so much easier. You’re also SO wise to not bring more than you can manage yourself and to practice lugging all your stuff around. I really REALLY wish more people would do this. You’ve found a good balance of being prepared but not having too much. It doesn’t sound like you’re at this stage yet, but if you have a kiddo that is newly potty trained have them wear a pull up. Turbulence is dangerous and I’ve seen several kids hurt badly trying to go to the bathroom when they shouldn’t. If the seat belt sign is on you really do need to be seated. This means your kiddo might need to hold it for a long time. If you really don’t want them wearing the pull up at least bring one. Worst case scenario you can put the pull up on at the seat.
For the people scared to fly with their kiddos. Don’t be! Babies/kids are surprisingly good travelers. Trust me, your kid won’t be the biggest baby on the flight. It’s the grown ups that are the problem children 🤦🏼♀️
Thank you so much for your kind words and for the suggestions!! It's great to hear feedback from someone with lots of professional experience! We're not yet at the potty training stage but will definitely be taking long flights in the next year, and will be sure to heed your pull up advice! And I agree -- we've been so pleasantly surprised by how great traveling with our son has been and most of our stress has been totally unnecessary -- it's all in the preparation I think :)
Can I actually bring drinks and food pouches for my 4 year old since I will have a diaper bag?
@@krissjourney3503Toddler food/drinks in excess of the 3.4 ounce limit are allowed. Remove them from your bag and tell TSA that you have toddler food/drinks at the start of the screening process. Hope that helps!
@@kathryngrace9038 thank you!
You are single handedly giving me the confidence to travel with my 2 year old next month 💕
I feel the same way! I will travel with my son on a international flight which will be 25+ hours with 5+ hours of layover and I’m hoping everything goes smoothly ❤
My husband I are are having our first flight with our 2 year old this month and all of your tips have been so helpful! Thank you so much. I’ve been watching so many videos of how to fly with a toddler and you were straight to the point and so organized!
Thank you, that's very kind! I hope you have a smooth and enjoyable trip with your toddler!!!
instead of the changing pad I use disposable puppy pee pads. they soak up pee so won't run, disposable when dirty, they are very small and light, and can be used on the sear as well as changing tables.
genius!
Love this!!!
Thanks for this video. Tomorrow I will be flying international with my 15 months baby alone.
Loved this! We've traveled a lot with kiddo but haven't done a flight in a year, so basically a brand new kid/experience. I'm taking notes as I start my packing list!
Yay so exciting! It really is a whole new ball game every few months or so it seems!
Such a great video! Watching this gave me so much confidence when we do start traveling with our toddler. Thank you for creating it!
Thank you for watching and leaving a message! I really appreciate it! (also gives me confidence to keep making videos :D)
Thank you so much! This really helps alot.
Your videos are amazing and so helpful! I am so glad you are helping us mamas.. I'm terrified for my first flight with my bebe but your😊 advice makes me feel empowered!
ohhh thank you so much for saying that! I'm never quite sure if I'm making any difference with these videos and a comment like this really makes my day! I'm so happy to have helped a little bit :) I was scared on my first flight with my baby too, but it will all be worth it for the memories you make together
Love your videos! So helpful. ❤
aahh I'm so so glad! Thank you for saying that
Thank you so much
This was very great to watch and learn from.
Thank you, I'm so glad
Your hair is gorgeous! What's your hair routine/products you use?
Thank you! That's very nice of you! Maybe I was just having a good hair day -- I just use cheap shampoo and conditioner usually (currently tresemme) and I haven't had time to get a haircut in quite a while (#momlife) :)
Love your video! I am going to travel with a 2yo and a 6yo end of year on a 15 hours flight the first time! I am also thinking of carrying a fanny pack during travel. Would you share with me how you wear your fanny pack when you are wearing the baby carrier and the backpack? I feel like wearing the baby carrier will be in the way of everything...looking for some good tips. Thanks!
Honestly -- it's a bit awkward with the carrier and the backpack! I just wear it anyway 😅 So, it sits low on my hips, under the carrier -- and then I shift it to the side. Not sure if this is the best way but it's fine.
Thanks!
Super cute dress! Please link your dress. Thanks!
Thank you! It's from a thrift shop so I'm not sure!
Shout out fellow SFU alum!!!
It's my husband!! ❤
did you pack a normal sized whole bottle of children Tylenol or is there a specific flight size?
I always pack a normal size and have never been given trouble for it!
My daughter has been having hysterical episodes at night few hours after she sleeps and because of that we have to avoid night flights. Any tips to deal with hysterics in the plane
I have a 24+ hrs flight with my 20 month old in couple weeks. Can I fill the Stanley thermos with warm water for his powdered milk also?
Wow god woman ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ thank u
YOU'RE WELCOME!!!
are you from Spain / España ?
My husband is half Spanish! :D
