I am going to say thank you! I really enjoy your channel and it helped me make some great decisions on what to buy. I live in Japan (I retired here after 27 years of military service). During the pandemic the action figures were dirt cheap so I racked up while the getting was good. I was a military brat here in the 70's, so I'm a Showa period guy. I have finally completed my 70's too early 90's robot collection. I still have my old poppy collection from my childhood but the plastic is degrading. I actually picked up a lot of my old poppy's in old NYC. There were a few stores that sold them in the late 70's. One was a store on 58th and 5th Ave, 33rd and 2nd, a spot called QP's in LIC Queens and of course Manhattan Chinatown. I miss the pre-Gentrification, so much culture and discovery. You helped make my decision to buy the soul of Chogokin series, no regrets, thank you.
Charles, you are my favorite chogokin reviewer! No exaggeration! I keep going back and forth on this guy. He looks great, and that articulated tail is a work of art.
Great figure. Mine came with batteries in the chest. You need to turn on the switch, and press the button which is the lower left vent on the chest to get the LED function to work.
Arrrgggggg so I missed the button? I did notice goi g back on video that there was actually a tab...soooo that means it had batts. Oh well, thanks for poibting that out!
I’m an insane Godzilla fan, and a longtime SOC collector. I’ve so far skipped this one. I have 3 versions of the SH Monsterarts Kiryu’s. They are among the best figures Bandai has ever produced. They could be used as actual FX models for a movie so fine and precise is their articulation. At $350 I just don’t see this as bringing anything new to the table outside of maybe an inch more height?
Great review! As awesome as this figure is, im not sure if its worth the massive price. However if it was atleast 10 inches tall, that may be a different story. I may just stick with my old Bandai DX Kiryu.

@@RocketPunchArmy you bet Charles! Did you get the LED function to work?
Glad to see you do more reviews.
Godzilla minus one looks freakin insane.
can you pls make a review of gx31sp 50th anniversary edition? thank you
Don't worry about the comments do what you're passionate about. The best time to play with toys is by yourself.
I don’t collect Godzilla but every time there’s a nice kiryu out there I watch from afar all wistful like the grass is greener 😩
thanks!
Prices are going through te roof
can you introduce Astro Boy toys?
What’s the new movie? I haven’t heard about it.
Weird the chest unit would have a pull tab but not batteries
Someone pointed out it does have batteries. Not only do you have to pull tab and flip switch but there is also a button needed to press...
Waiting for unbox and review The Mazinger DX 50th anniversary Soul of Chogokin
