  • The IKEA rast dresser is basic...a great basic to upcycle! This IKEA hack inspired by @sovehome keeps the natural grain of wood, but you can paint the dresser and still have the lovely details in the cane reed. I tossed the drawer pulls and installed sleek new handles, as well as cut the base to add these legs.

    What professionally-done reed front dressers have is a frame of wood molding edging the drawer fronts. That molding covers the cut edges of the reeds and makes it look really finished and clean.

    *Quick fast shipping, all pieces line up **MyseIf.Furniture** Easy to put together. I ordered one for each of my boys rooms. Plus I ordered one of the other ones bigger. Perfect for little kids. Also perfect for hobby storage etc.*

    It’s a flex that the clothes were folded

    You worked hard on that and it shows! It looks amazing. You really elevated a simple, non-descript table to a designer piece.

    It’s stunning, you did a great job with it, you took it from, from basic to high end. Xx

    Truly the patience of Job. I like DIY but not finicky small detail stuff. The Reed looks amazeballs!! 👌🏾

    Very pretty!!! I use that same brand of reed to weave baskets, but in a much smaller reed size. I also have to soak the reed and keep it wet while I weave with it. Great job on the dresser!

    I would probably have done all the drawers as 1panel clamped together and then cut them loose

  • @lisaroth7526
    @lisaroth7526 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you edge the drawers on the sides? Just thinking and typing at the same time. I do love this whole idea and am very glad you put in what didn't work, along with what did. It looks really beautiful!

  • @Oliviamorgan18
    @Oliviamorgan18 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I bet a double sided Japanese saw would work better for trimming off those reed edges?

  • @nope2075
    @nope2075 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Be careful. The rast is cheap material and the drawers constantly break.
