I just bought my 2nd 5th gen, a 93 CX, which replaced my 94 CD5 Accord EX which went to my younger brother. All original, no mods whatsoever, and almost rust free with just under 53k miles. Very pleased so far. It's so different from new stuff its crazy. It's the most driver focused car I've ever had and it just oozes with everything I prioritize - lightweight, fuel sipping, and easy to work on. 46.8 MPG on my first tank ... on par with the 2020 Honda Fit I once had, although admittedly this car is slower and less safe. I very much plan to keep it all original. It's also the slowest car I ever had, and that's saying a lot as I have a habit of buying slow cars, but I'm okay with it. Yeah ... I think that 2020 Fit was the 3rd fastest car I ever had out of almost 20.
heck yah man! im glad you like it! that thing is worth a fortune right now with only 53k miles!
I miss my 93 hatchback. It was red just like this one. It only had the 1.6 SOHC but i built a custom cold air intake into the front right bumper and carved out the bumper for some air dam. Then just a muffler. Sounded freaking awesome and was fun as heck with it's maybe 100 whp. Had dreams of a B20 Franky motor but a rear end collision happened and totaled it
ohh nooo sorry to hear that!
I just bought a 93 civic 2 door, STICK, rebuilt engine 😂❤❤❤. I'm feeling like a proud new mama.
Heck yah! They are great cars!!
Just picked up a bone stock 92 vx about a month ago for $700. Put a fuel pump in it and it fired right up! Been slowly getting it back to being road worthy. Trying to get those 40-50mpg lol. Oh, and it's almost touching 300k miles and still purrs
Lets freaking gooo!!! love to hear that!
You scored! I was incredibly blessed to have picked up a 93' VX, runs, tracks straight, re-painted powder blue and for $800 score of a lifetime in this day.
Such a good car man; you really can’t beat them 🔥
For sure! Butttttt efs>>>>
Really need another EG hatch. Had one, wrecked it. ‘92 DX Phantom Grey Pearl. 😭 Now I have an EJ1 for the last 21 years.
@@mpmfr sheesh you’ve had that a long time!
very new to Honda scene but really looking forward to getting a hatch one day is there any main difference between a eg or ek and what’s mainly recommended
they are all mostly the same, theres ALOT of aftermarket support for the EGs most honda parts are made for EGs i think EKs are nicer though. EGs being obd1 makes them alot easier to work with.
Honda...the power of dreams❤ this is a true civic type 90,s era😍😎👍💪👏👏👏

Really enjoy driving my 93 hatch. Original engine 147k just got her body fixed up. She and I will be going a lot this year..
nice!
Im glad they're getting the respect from the car community at least some people.....they used to get more hate back in the day... Still do from ignorant people 🔰🏎️
Yah all the hate is going towards the dodges now haha
This is why I have one 😬😬😬
They are so good!
Makes me miss my 89 CRX
Crx>eg lol
Reeeeally making me miss mine dude.
they are no ef wagon but they are rad!
@@pop_pops_garagebeat the shit out of that car for 12 years every single day. Such a fun platform. Most reliable car I’ve ever owned bar none.
Sending the absolute shit outta that joint! 🤣🤣 Cant believe it chirps 3rd with no power lol
wait till it has a vtec head
@@pop_pops_garage gonna be so rad 😭
How much is a clean b16 swapped 2000 dx hatch worth in 2024?
@@Azuahh prices are all over the place it’s hard to say! The 99-00s typically cost a little more than the 96-98s. No clue without seeing it really
Love my hatch!!!!!
They are so good
I just noticed….you need a rear view mirror 😂😂😂 1:55
Yahhhh we have one lol just keep forgetting to do it
Can FWD compete with RWD if FWD driving techniques are mastered? Had to shorten the question because Honda Street garage video came up after yours and the damn question got posted over there instead....I really hate how the Internet forces you to watch other shit right after.....like you have no time maybe I should turn of the auto whatever.
There’s a reason f1 is rwd! I will say for a budget fun car yes they can
I miss my hatch! I’ll get another soon
They are fun cars!
I 💕 my 92 si b16 swap.
b16s are so good! i miss my b16
@@pop_pops_garage after 9 months it's almost road ready 😭.
@@mannybananas1322 it will be well worth!
My my 21 type r rattles, sqeek and noises etc. BREMBO anyone....
@@leynermendoza1456 i love fk8s
Still want to build a dc2 gsr someday 🤘
no balls! you wont!
I don’t understand these guys trying to shift so fast like they were in a race..
Killing the clutch synchros and everything in between lol…
Yea floor the car but shift smooth why do that makes no sense lol
A stock b20 isn’t going to hurt a gsr trans. And if you shift slow in a Honda you fall out of the power and it’s super slow. You have to beat on Hondas it’s the only way
Nah bro aside from a tune way too overpriced and slow and no power stearing
@@Masterbaiter1000 some had power steering! Most people just prefer manual racks in these cars since they are light
@@pop_pops_garage yeah but any 2000s k series has power steering and can handle more lbs to weight. Cheaper too. A k24 goes for 800 and a k20 header even cheaper. I used to have a itr b18c5 on a eg hitting 210. it was cool with a hondata tune and went over 9k. but no real torque. Just good on lightweight shells.
