I’ve been contemplating the idea for years now and I’ve been saving just in case I ever got the guts to do it. But thanks to your videos I’m inspired and will be taking my sabbatical starting this May! Thank you 🙏🏽

I’ve recently had life changing experiences through losing two of the most loved and important people I’ve ever know throughout my lifetime. While enduring the hardship of these losses, I’ve been motivated to genuinely seek my path to god by participating in the faith I was raised with and using that tool to do what I can to help others wherever we may encounter each other. I am only human like anyone a person sees and encounters in daily life. But my faith helps me endure through hardship to help people truly experience and
Understand the good in the world. If there is anyone out there that might have ideas of how a beginner like me can take on an undertaking such as this, I would genuinely appreciate any advise or insight as to how one could go about it. Please don’t take this post as a cry for money. Although that is important, I’d prefer a warm clean bed, food, and a regular shower. Thank you all and god bless.

Still, the rich guy with 0 savings can sell his expensive car, yacht or house, get a cheaper one and have money left to affort a sabbatical.
The poor guy doesn't have much space to downshift.
And we have to compare saving up lots of cash and effects of inflation vs having real estate that you can sell later or rent to somebody.

I sadly have student loans. When I pay them off I will probably take a year long sabbatical...or maybe two years

We are thinking of doing the same thing once our son graduates high school. I'll be 46 at the time. I'm estimating that we can do it for less than $30000 for the year in Asia or Central America.

That sounds like an awesome plan! You can definitely make 30k go a LONG way in some Central American countries and have an amazing time. Best of luck to you and hope to hear of your success!

Those who need a Sabbatical don't live optimally each day.
