Just a quick comment please don’t be upset maybe you don’t know but the background music volume on this video is way too high, it’s competing with what you are saying way too much. I was listening on my phone and it’s hard to understand you. Thank you for the content keep it up.
I work for Premiumbeat, very good company but very picky. They only want top notch music, no fillers. Pond5 and Shuttershock will be 2 different companies. Also Premiumbeat is exclusive and can not be mixed with pond5 at all.
In a related topic in Reason Terms and conditions it says that there music and audio samples can not be edited mixed distorted in any way and then used commercially in any way without written permission from Reason Studios. That seems a bit stupid to Me, they give you all those audio loops and samples and Rex files but you cant actually legally use them in anything public? Basically there saying that if We buy a licence We dont have any right to use most of the included content you payed to use. What's your thought Even?
The way I understand it, it just means you can’t put some processing on one of their loops and resell it as your own loop. But if it was part of a composition, that’s allowed. But I could be wrong.
Hasn't Pond5 become a subscription model recently? I'm mostly focusing on exclusive libs but I'm sitting on some lower category tracks that I want to upload somewhere, I just don't know if Pond5 is still worth the time?
Hi Joanna... right now Pond 5 is doing a hybrid model of regular sales and subscription. I'll be releasing a video next week with 3 months of data on it. If you have the skills to focus on exclusive libraries, that's what I'd recommend. But for the non-exclusive libraries, I still think P5 is best, even though it keeps getting worse. Better to put some of your worse tracks there than anywhere else.
@@StockMusicMusician Thank you for your answer! I guess I'm overthinking it, sometimes any action is better than no action, like you say. Looking forward to the video!

I think you’re probably right about how they will treat things

Motion Array and now Pond5. When companies merge or are acquired it is bad news for artists and workers 99% of the thime.
That’s probably true… but there’s certainly space in the industry for them to have multiple differentiated products
background music is too loud.
Gotta sell more of that stock music!
@@StockMusicMusician yeah that was I thought too :D
Pond Five highlights it's own in house creature first. They have a stupid passport government linked identification system.
