Agreed. Easily my favorite 80's band. I guess it all had to do with timing. They arrived just a little too late.. If their first album got released a year or two earlier we'd be looking at a very different story, I think. RIP Jani.

He's definitely saying the girls name as "Mercy", which I have never understood why he chose such an odd name. I guess the closest would be "Missy". But I have never heard of a girl named "Mercy"? Regardless, it's a great song. Jani Lane was an incredible songwriter and a great voice.
