I greatly admire Mr. Kay's demeanor. He reminds me very much of some native elders I've met. I hope one day I can be as solid as he seems. Creators blessings.
Alan obviously has spent some time in the woods and always knows what he is talking about. I had an old army ranger assistant-scout master that taught me many things when I was a young boy scout. The practical knowledge and the "no bull-shit, figure it out, and make it work" mindset is more useful than any tool that he could have given me.
I don't watch TV and didn't know that guy was on a show, but I damn sure know he knows what he is talking about. I am not surprised that he won that competition.
Really enjoy watching Alan talk, and give situation examples/experiences. One of my favorite survivalists, and I've learned a lot since my short year of getting into prepping from him. Enjoy the channel as well keep it up.
I really like Alan. He doesn't have half an ounce of marshmallow in him. He doesn't care what you think. He's not hyper and trying to impress you. He's not interested if you believe him. There's no sales pitch. Here is what works when SHTF. Take it or leave it. When do I go home and get back to living simple? Good man! ❤
That was a excellent topic and Alan really put everything in perspective. How we forgot how to be humans like our ancestors and just slowing down in our lives. That is something I struggle with at times in work and life in general. That’s why I want to get out and learn these skills. Get some dirt time alone. I have been trying for awhile now and it’s always something why I can’t do it. Either money, work, or just dealing with things at home with the family it’s always something. But that’s why next year I’m going to make a change and start doing things different in life. A lot of guys either hunt or fish which is great but I’m looking for something where it’s more one on one with nature and what it really means to live off the land. To survive no matter the situation. I like when Alan said going out and knowing u can make fire. It might take a few days but u know in your heart u will have fire. Awesome stuff! 👏👍 Great video and info. Also dum dums is my fluff. My boys luv them and me too. It would remind me of home and enjoy the lil things in life when things get slow.
Another aspect of survival is taking care of wounds (small to major). Taking care of yourself when injured as well as the others in your circle. Knowing what to have in your IFAK in your bag/vehicle etc. Knowing how to use the environment around you (herbs), and using fire to carterize your knives and your wounds in a worst case scenario. Also, the mental aspects of injuries and how to overcome the challenge. Can you do a video on this issue?

Winner of a video, been searching for "emergency survival guide" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Ryanzon Survival Genie - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my friend got cool results with it.

Alan Kay has such a quiet way to inspire. Really enjoy what he has to say.

Awesome video, one of the strongest moral bust that I can have its listening an AC/DC song. it just makes the day ok.

great comment buddy 👍
Alan always seems to have that "1000 yard stare" look, which just makes me inspired, and scared, at the same time!
Yep.... when he pulls his Kukri..... it's too late. Next..... I'm hungry.
Great video! Important things were said.

Makes you think about some very deep & human history.
You show is wonderful.
@1:13 The guy on the left stops yammering.
I'd love to have a chat about this with Alan I have a strange personality. being around people and noise makes me hyper alert and unhappy.
Me too. People will talk about the color of mustard for 2 hours and compete with each other while doing it. 🤢🤮
