    Great work!
Glad you didn't lose some fingers. Whikst there's a safety catch on the switch this shows that it can be overcome by accident.
A very timely reminder to always disconnect power tools when changing blades!

I am not ! In any shape way or form having a go at you, cos i really enjoy watching your work ! At the point you had the grinder fall, i was actually cringing cos i could see the battery in place. I also woukd point to something that I've always done when changing a disc, n that is, once the disc is fitted i spin the disc noting a particular point on the guard, to see if the disc is turning concentrically, n then i turn the grinder 90° to ensure the disc is not " cocked " in any way, whilst rotating the disc again.
    I'm saying " how i do it " thats all .
Keep up the GREAT VIDEO'S GUYS !!

Very good job guys. It's all about stages and patience. A few of the movie star brickies on TH-cam would be taking all sorts of short cuts on a job like this. Must admit that throughout that video the existing brick on the top left of the window was annoying the hell out of me. It looks like the brick and a half below it, had a chip out of them and it showed on the bed. My OCD was running rampant.

I’m only a 19 year old apprentice and just like you I got extremely lucky with a grinder accident. I was cutting out an arch in a brick to go round a pipe and the disc snagged and jumped out at me and grazed the top of my thumb muscle near the wrist. Mm’s away from multiple tendons and somehow didn’t even need stitches. I learned after that I was cutting with the blade spinning towards me instead of away and I was only using one hand to hold the grinder. You live and you learn ey. I’m glad you’re okay mate👌🏻

@@SteveAndAlexBuild At school (electrical engineering) I overheard some other pupils asking a metal shop teacher for an angle grinder because they wanted to cut a hole into a metal enclosure. The teacher did everything he could to dissuade them and get them to use any other tool he could think of that would get the job done more safely. I think he succeeded and they ended up using a drill and jigsaw. Another teacher taught us: "Grinding disc injuries are the worst type of injuries because they remove so much tissue!".
Angle grinders and chainsaws are the tools I've got the most respect for, probably followed by table saws and circular saws.

These lintels that you chop down, you don't seem to prime and paint the cut edge as per guidelines for what I assume to be galvanised? The raw steel edge will corrode inwards. Stainless lintels are an option if you are going to be cutting down.
