I think the main reason why robtop is not giving elder mods the ability to rate levels is that, it would overflow the rating system, robtop talked about this once.(if not please correct me)
For example nowdays, robtop rates 20-50 levels a day on average, where when all elder mods would also had the power it would spike up to lets say 200-300 levels PER DAY.
Robtop tries to prevent the massive ammount of rates that could happen due to this... which i understand to a certain degree.. but this ain't no small game anymore.
Couldn’t he just limit the amount of levels mods are allowed to rate per day?

Im genuinely curious as to why some might think thats an issue, because the way i see it is more rates=more cool levels to choose from

i want to point out that this isnt just robtop being slow. hes almost definitely seen many of these extreme demon platformers and refuses to rate them due to their difficulty. in a recent rate wave there were 6 well liked extreme demon platformers near the top of sent tab and robtop rated none of them. the new top 1 he rated was only given star rate despite being sent for epic and considered at least feature worthy by most people

I'd give anything for rob to rate 20 extremes in a single day, we need to push platformer skill for people that only play rated levels.
So basically he doesnt like the game being too hard.

This is why elder mods should be able to rate levels. Not just Platformer ones, but any level.

Giving elder mods ability to rate any level is a bit risky imo. I think there should be another mod with higher privileges than elder mods and only few players (like Viprin) will have it.
@@user-zi8qn2uw9d So? Elder mods probably have the creation knowledge necessary to criticize and rate levels appropriately. This will also increase the rated level count by a lot so more people can get creator points.

keep in mind the rob is still working for 2.21, so he probably doesn't have that much time to rate levels
thats not really the case, when he gets presented with 6 extreme platformer demons on the first page but none of them get rated while he was rating, so he had to have seen them

honestly platformer levels all look the same, the robtop levels are honestly the most fun to play, simply because it's hard to create a good platformer level. Hopefully, creators like xender game are cooking really cool levels, which are **original**, good looking, and fun
they dont look the same, you tripping lmao
this is why platformers get more mythic, legendary ratings
none of the currently rated platformer demons look the same, they all have their unique style and gameplay gimmicks.
I dont know which levels you played to think they all look the same cause they really dont and they are WAY more versitile in style than any classic level ever was imo.

@@mariokirby1703 i have 5000 moons and a lot of levels have very similar gameplay or very similar style (e.g. using the pixel blocks). But most levels that are demons or are higher than feature worthy, are mostly different

Its possible rob wants tech based levels (chromaside, speedtek) instead of the robot gamemode precision.

Platformer is defo not dying out. We just got a new top 1 and the community is still very strong. The rating system won't stop the community from playing

For a level to get a mythic and legend mods and elder mods should vote for it or not and take it to robtop for the final opinion if it should be legendary or epic or not
here's an idea for platformer creators looking for something original: make a platformer level structured just like a classic level, there are no checkpoints, and each room is timer-based and tied to a specific part of the song :>

Maybe rob should just make a new mod badge specifically for people he would trust to rate levels for him
I looked in sent levels and only 4 out 50 levels were actually platformer, so maybe it’s not really Robtops fault
Growing up, I always adored platformer games and wished beyond wished that there was a game with a level editor as in depth as geometry dash for platformer games. Mario maker 1 and 2 was okay but very limited compared to geometry dash. So now that GD has added platformer I am so happy. I really hope it doesn’t die out so soon because they are so much fun to both build and play to me
ive been seeing a lot of very long platformers recently, so i honestly feel he just doesn't have the time to play these extremely long platformers (like how to platformer). im not sure exactly how rob rates levels but i would assume he at least plays the level to its almost whole content.
Look at the sent tab. ~90% of the levels there right now are classic. It's not him, its the creators or the mods
Robtop is biased too. He seems to have disliked hard platformers since the beginning (maybe he doesnt like the hitbox abuse? That would be his fault though) remember when he wasnt sure if he should rate i wanna be the guy for being too hard?
Platformers does not revolve around the extreme demon difficulty, a minority can achieve hard levels why would we give privilege to this minority. If you want to revive platformers make more easy demon / medium demon difficiluy and they are going to be rated.

Platformer EXTREME DEMONS are dying, there has been 6 extreme demons in sent page in a row, yet robtop hasn't rated ANY OF THEM except ecstasis, yet he would rate bounce ball thingy.
This is horribly bad for platformer lovers like me. Revive them!!
