*I did not include their collaboration album with Franz Ferdinand as I consider FFS a band that made one album and I just want to focus on Sparks studio albums.*
Your S list mirrors mine for Sparks. Though I do love No 1 in Heaven as that was the first Sparks album that I ever bought back in '79, before that it was singles and 12" releases... Another great Tier list video Larry, lovin' these my friend....
It changes, but my favorite right now is a Steady Drip Drip Drip. I can't quible with your ranking, though. It was fun watching your deliberation monologue.
The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte at number one!,wow that shows what a great band Sparks are Larry, that a band that's been around as long as Sparks has can still make an album better then their earlier material,I really don't know them that well but you're a superfan so you really know them so that's pretty impressive,Larry Graves,Sparks number one fan! Bob
Hi Larry. My wife and I were watching the TV show “Gilmore Girls” on Netflix tonight. On Episode 22 of Season 6 there are a few scenes of Sparks performing as street musicians during the first 10 minutes or so of the episode. (Sonic Youth also had a street-musician scene). I laughed and thought of you when I saw those two Sparks brothers on Gilmore Girls. Ha! Jeff
The struggle is so real, but that's because Sparks -- I was just interrupted by a phone call, mid sentence. But "The struggle is so real, but that's because Sparks" might be an apt way to put it! I'm with you for the most part on the very top and bottom tiers (I'd knock "Number One in Heaven" down a few levels because of my personal tastes). It's those mid-range albums that get to be really difficult to place. I can't comment about "Music That You Can Dance To" and "Annette" because I still don't own those. (I want to hear "Annette" within the context of the movie but it's still not available on DVD, at least for the US region.) It's great that Ron and Russell are still at it, and not just phoning it in -- they're doing some of their best work right now. And kudos to you for making the effort to rank the albums -- this should be very helpful for those still uninformed, but curious, about Sparks.
As you probably understand 😁, I really enjoyed this video. I'm going to send you the screenshot of my Tier. You might be more shocked about where I put Kimono My House than I was about your placing of Lil' Beethoven 😁🤣♥️
I was never a fan of them, but recognize them in the 80s first with the song "This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both of Us". Don' t liked the look too (me as a german you know what i mean). Now, through your channel i am getting interested in hearing more from them, so i bought the 3-CD collection "Past Tense: The Best of Sparks". I think it is a good start to discover their music and jumped on the Sparks train. Let 's see where it brings me to.
Didn't realize that Sparks had released so many albums. For some reason, I thought there were only about ten. I do have your #2 and #4 choices--and I enjoy them both--but I want to focus on acquiring more Yes, The Kinks, Can, Genesis and King Crimson for the time being.
I have tried to rank these albums many times but I can never make up my mind, all I am sure of is that my favourite is still Indiscreet as there is nothing else like it and I don't think I'll ever change my mind.
I have heard about 90% of their albums. By my top five are still from their first five: 5. Sparks 4. Indiscreet 3. Kimono My House 2. A Woofer In Tweeter’s Clothing 1. Propaganda
Yeah, I don't consider it a Sparks album, FFS is a band in my books, with one album. I would place it in the low A's. Lots of fun catchy songs on the album.

Yes, I have seen that footage a few times. I guess it was during their lean years, ha ha... but I know the cast/writers are fans of Sparks.
I saw a car today with HLFNLSN license plates and thought of Sparks.

I agree with most of your choices, however I would put "two hands, one mouth" into the "A" section. Thanks for this Sparks video, Larry!

That compilation is a great way to start!
Really need to get more sparks in my life

I see the FFS is not on there. I guess it doesn't count, but I wonder where you'd place that. I'll do a tier list once I get them all.

@@LarryGravesCanadianStudmuffin Can not argue with that!
A steady drip and hippo are both S tier for me.
That looked very difficult to complete. Must be so hard when it’s your favourite band. Well done anyway
