    Very underrated film.
I really think years from now this will be looked at as a Cinematic masterpiece that, sadly, did not get anywhere near the recognition that it deserved.
It plays almost as an extension of Mean Streets, Goodfellas and Casino and really feels like a moving and powerful Grand Finale to all of Scorsese’s Mob epics.
Don’t let it’s slow pace put you off - this is an absolute Masterwork from one of the greatest artists in the history of Cinema.

At least that’s how you’re “supposed” to feel because film buffs are on Scorsese’s nuts. I had to stop halfway, and didn’t care enough to come back the following night. The general vibe I got was, they should have left this one alone, or made it years ago. I may give it another shot.

I watched or read an interview where he explains ge doesn't believe on "director's cuts" as to him once a movie finishes post production and is released to theaters, that's the movie that it will always be. He also mentioned something about it being kind of petty for a director to ask for a director's cut DVD/Blue Ray when they didn't care enough to ask that from the start.
And frankly, I think Scorsese is one of the few directors who always makes the movie his own, not caring about numbers and big box offices, just an artistic vision true to himself.

It's a great movie, thier performances are captivating and you buy into the relationships (didnt feel as long as it was). That said, I think it's a film you can only really watch the once and really enjoy at the same level, where Goodfella's and Casino just keep on giving.

It is a great film, I always enjoy movies with Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci in it, you know when Martin Scorsese directs a film it must be great. What I don't understand is why Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino don't yet have Hollywood Stars on the Walk of Fame, they should have had them decades ago after acting in so many great films.

Legendary level actors, in a movie made by a legendary director. what else can one ask for?
I only wish this was shot earlier in their careers as it would have been much natural to age them with make up, instead of make them look younger with CGI.

I was sure that this could win for 3 categories: Production Design, Adapted Screenplay and Supporting Actor (for Pesci). Can't think of why the Academy omitted it from the Production Design (Pitt's Oscar was due, so I was okay with that, Jojo Rabbit was great and way more funnier than the novel). But 2019 was a great year for the films, gotta say that. Joker, 1917, Ford V Ferrari, Parasite, Jojo Rabbit, The Lighthouse, Marriage Story, John Wick 3 and The Irishman just to name a few.
